< Abụ Ọma 144 >
1 Abụ Ọma nke Devid. Otuto dịrị Onyenwe anyị, onye bụ oke nkume m, onye na-ezi aka m abụọ ibu agha, na mkpịsịaka m ịlụ ọgụ.
BLESSED be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
2 Ọ bụ Chineke m, onye jupụtara nʼịhụnanya, bụrụkwa ebe mgbaba m e wusiri ike, ebe m e wusiri ike na onye mgbapụta m, ọ bụ ọta m, onye m na-agbaba nʼime ya, onye ji aka ike mee ka ndị dị iche iche nọdụ nʼokpuru m.
My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
3 O Onyenwe anyị, gịnị ka mmadụ bụ i ji na-eche echiche banyere ya, gịnị ka nwa nke mmadụ bụ ihe banyere ya ji na-emetụ gị nʼobi?
Lord, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!
4 Mmadụ dị ka otu nkuume; ụbọchị ndụ ya niile na-agafe ngwangwa dịka onyinyo.
Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.
5 O Onyenwe anyị, kewaa eluigwe rịdata; metụ ugwu niile aka ka ha kwụọ anwụrụ ọkụ.
Bow thy heavens, O Lord, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
6 Zipụ amụma ka o chụsasịa ndị iro niile; gbaa ha àkụ gị niile ma chụsasịa ha.
Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.
7 Site nʼelu setịpụ aka gị; gbapụta m, napụtakwa m site nʼoke osimiri, site nʼaka ndị si mba ọzọ,
Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;
8 ndị ọnụ ha jupụtara nʼụgha, ndị aka nri ha jupụtakwara nʼaghụghọ.
Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
9 O Chineke, aga m abụku gị abụ ọhụrụ. Une e ji akwara iri mee ka m ga-eji kpọọrọ gị egwu;
I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.
10 gị onye na-enye ndị eze mmeri, onye na-agbapụta ohu ya Devid. Site na mma agha dị njọ
It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.
11 gbapụta m; napụtakwa m site nʼaka ndị si mba ọzọ ndị ọnụ ha jupụtara nʼụgha, ndị aka nri ha jupụtakwara nʼaghụghọ.
Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:
12 Mgbe ahụ, ụmụ ndị ikom anyị, nʼoge okorobịa ha, ga-adị ka ihe a kụrụ nʼala e lekọtara anya nke ọma, ụmụ anyị ndị inyom ga-adị ka ogidi a pịrị apị e ji achọ ụlọeze mma.
That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:
13 Ọba anyị niile ga-ejupụta nʼihe oriri dị iche iche si nʼubi anyị. Atụrụ anyị ga-amụba nʼọtụtụ puku nʼọnụọgụgụ, ha ga-adị iri puku kwụrụ puku nʼubi anyị;
That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets:
14 igwe ehi anyị ga-adọkpụ ibu dị arọ. A gaghị enwe ntipu na mgbidi anyị niile, a gaghị adọta anyị nʼagha gaa obodo ọzọ, akwa ihe mgbu agaghị adị nʼokporoụzọ anyị niile.
That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.
15 Ndị a gọziri agọzi ka ndị ahụ bụ, ndị ihe ndị a dịịrị; ndị a gọziri agọzi ka ndị ahụ bụ, ndị Chineke bụ Onyenwe anyị ha.
Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord.
