< Matiu 15 >

1 Mgbe ahụ, ụfọdụ ndị Farisii na ndị ozizi iwu si Jerusalem bịakwute Jisọs jụrụ ya ajụjụ sị,
THEN came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees from Jerusalem, saying,
2 “Gịnị mere ndị na-eso ụzọ gị adịghị erube isi nʼomenaala ndị okenye? Ha anaghị akwọ aka ha tupu ha erie nri.”
Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread?
3 Ọ zara ha sị, “Gịnị mere unu ji na-ada iwu Chineke nʼihi omenaala unu?
And he answering said to them, And why do you transgress the command of God, by your tradition?
For God commanded, saying “Honour thy father and thy mother:” and, He that curseth father or mother, let him surely die.
5 Ma unu na-asị, ọ bụrụ na onye ọbụla ga-asị nna maọbụ nne ya, ihe ọbụla bụ nke ị gara erite nʼaka m bụ ‘onyinye dịrị Chineke.’
But ye say, If any man declare to his father or mother, This is a devoted gift, which else might have been employed by me for thy advantage;
Nʼụzọ dị otu a, unu na-eme ka okwu Chineke bụrụ ihe efu nʼihi omenaala unu.
then he shall not with it honour his father and mother: so have ye vacated the command of God by your tradition.
7 Ndị ihu abụọ! Amụma ahụ Aịzaya buru banyere unu bụ eziokwu. Mgbe o kwuru sị,
Ye hypocrites, well hath Isaiah prophesied concerning you, saying,
8 “‘Ndị a ji egbugbere ọnụ ha na-asọpụrụ m, ma obi ha dị anya nʼebe m nọ.
This people draweth nigh to me with their mouths, and honoureth me with the lips, but their heart is far distant from me.
9 Ofufe ha na-efe m bụ ihe efu, ozizi ha bụkwa ihe mmadụ nyere nʼiwu.’”
But in vain do they worship me, teaching doctrines the commandments of men.
10 Mgbe ahụ, ọ kpọrọ igwe mmadụ ahụ, sị ha, “Geenụ ntị, ghọtakwanụ.
And he called to him the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
11 Ọ bụghị ihe banyere mmadụ nʼọnụ na-emerụ ya, kama ọ bụ ihe sị nʼọnụ onye ahụ pụta na-emerụ ya.”
not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but what cometh out of the mouth, that defileth the man.
12 Ndị na-eso ụzọ ya bịakwutere ya sị, “Ị makwa na obi adịghị ndị Farisii mma nʼihi okwu ahụ i kwuru?”
Then his disciples approaching, said to him, Knowest thou how offended the Pharisees were at hearing that speech?
13 Ma ọ zara sị ha, “Osisi ọbụla Nna m nke eluigwe na-ejighị aka ya kụọ ka a ga-ehopu.
Then he answered and said, Every plant which my heavenly Father hath not planted shall be rooted up.
14 Ya mere, unu echegbula onwe unu, nʼihi na ha bụ ndị ndu kpuru ìsì. Ma ọ bụrụ na onye ìsì eduo onye ìsì ibe ya ha abụọ adaba nʼime olulu.”
Leave them to themselves: they are blind leaders of the blind. But if the blind lead the blind, they will both fall into the pit.
15 Pita sịrị ya, “Kọwaara anyị ihe ilu a pụtara.”
Then Peter answering said unto him, Explain to us this parable.
16 Ọ jụrụ ha sị, “Unu ọ ka dị ka ndị na-enweghị nghọta?
And Jesus said, Are ye also to this time destitute of intelligence?
17 Ọ bụ na unu aghọtaghị na ihe ọbụla nke na-aba nʼọnụ na-aga nʼime afọ, sịkwa nʼebe ahụ a nyụpụ ya nʼụlọ nsị?
Do ye not observe, that every thing which entereth into the mouth passeth into the belly, and is ejected into the vault?
18 Ma ihe si mmadụ nʼọnụ pụta na-esi ya nʼobi apụta. Ọ bụ ihe dị otu a na-emerụ mmadụ.
But the things which go forth out of the mouth, come out of the heart, and they are the things which defile a man:
19 Nʼihi na ọ bụ nʼime obi mmadụ ka echiche ime ihe ọjọọ ndị a si apụta: igbu mmadụ, ịkwa iko niile, ịkwa iko nke ndị ikom nwere nwunye na ndị inyom nwere di, na izu ohi, na ama ụgha, na nkwulu.
for out of the heart proceed wicked reasonings, murders, adulteries, whoredoms, thefts, false testimonies, blasphemies:
20 Ihe ndị a bụ ihe na-emerụ mmadụ, ọ bụghị ma mmadụ kwọrọ aka tupu o rie nri, maọbụ na ọ kwọghị.”
these are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashed hands doth not defile a man.
21 Jisọs hapụrụ obodo ahụ gaa nʼakụkụ obodo Taịa na Saịdọn.
And going forth thence, Jesus retired into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
22 Nʼebe ahụ, otu nwanyị onye Kenan bi nʼobodo ahụ bịakwutere ya rịọọ ya sị, “Onyenwe m, nwa Devid, biko meere m ebere. Ada m nwanyị nwere ajọ mmụọ nʼime ya nke na-esogbu ya oge niile.”
And lo! a woman of Canaan coming out of these coasts, cried aloud, saying to him, Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David: my daughter is a grievous demoniac.
But he replied not a word to her. Then his disciples came and intreated him, saying, Send her away; for she is crying aloud after us.
24 Ọ zara sị, “Ezitere m naanị ijekwuru atụrụ furu efu nke ụlọ Izrel.”
But he said in reply, I am not sent, save only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Ma ọ bịara daa nʼụkwụ ya rịọọ ya sị, “Onyenwe m, nyere m aka!”
Then she came, and worshiped him, saying, Lord, help me!
26 Ọ zara sị, “O zighị ezi na a ga-ewere nri ụmụntakịrị tụpụrụ nkịta.”
But he answering said, It is not proper to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.
27 Ọ zara sị, “Ọ bụ eziokwu Onyenwe m. Ma a na-ekwekwa ka ụmụ nkịta nọ nʼokpuru tebul rie iberibe nri nke na-esi nʼelu tebul ha daa nʼala.”
And she said, True, Lord: yet even the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their master’s table.
28 Jisọs zara sị ya, “Nwanyị, okwukwe gị dị ukwuu! Laa, e meelara gị ihe ị na-arịọ.” Nʼotu oge ahụ a gwọrọ ada ya.
Then Jesus answering said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith! be it unto thee even as thou desirest. And her daughter was cured from that hour.
29 Jisọs hapụrụ ebe ahụ lọghachi nʼakụkụ osimiri Galili. Ọ rịgooro nʼelu ugwu nọdụ ala.
And departing thence, Jesus went to the sea-side of Galilee; and ascending a mountain, he sat down there.
And great multitudes came to him, bringing with them the lame, blind, dumb, cripples, and many others, and cast them down at the feet of Jesus; and he cured them all:
31 Ọ tụrụ mmadụ niile nʼanya mgbe ha hụrụ ndị ogbi ka ha bidoro ikwu okwu. Mgbe ha hụkwara na a gwọrọ ndị aka ha, na ndị ụkwụ ha nwụrụ anwụ, o jukwara ha anya ịhụ na ndị ngwụrọ gara ije, na ndị ìsì hụkwara ụzọ. Ha toro Chineke nke Izrel.
insomuch that the multitude marvelled when they saw the dumb speaking, the cripples sound, the lame walking, and the blind restored to sight: and they glorified the God of Israel.
32 Jisọs kpọrọ ndị na-eso ụzọ ya sị ha, “Ana m emere igwe mmadụ ndị a obi ebere, nʼihi na mụ na ha anọọla ụbọchị atọ nʼebe a, ma ha eribeghị nri ọbụla. Agaghị m ezilaga ha na-erighị nri, nʼihi na ha nwere ike ịda nʼụzọ.”
Then Jesus calling his disciples, said, I have compassion on the multitude, for they have now continued with me three days, and have not any thing to eat: and send them away fasting I will not, lest they faint on the road.
33 Ndị na-eso ụzọ ya sịrị, “Ebee ka anyị ga-enweta nri ga-ezuru igwe mmadụ ndị a nʼọzara a?”
And his disciples said unto him, Whence can we in the wilderness have loaves enough to satisfy the cravings of so great a multitude?
And Jesus said unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few small fishes.
35 Ọ gwara igwe mmadụ ahụ ka ha nọdụ ala.
And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.
And taking the seven loaves and the fishes, he gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
And they did all eat, and were filled: and took up a superabundance of fragments seven baskets full.
38 Ndị riri nri ahụ dị puku ụmụ nwoke anọ, nʼagụnyeghị ndị nwanyị na ụmụntakịrị.
And they that had eaten were four thousand men, besides women and children.
39 Mgbe o zilagara igwe mmadụ ahụ, ọ banyere nʼụgbọ mmiri gafee osimiri, bịaruo nʼobodo Magadan.
And dismissing the multitudes he went on board a vessel, and came into the coasts of Magdala.
