< Joshua 1 >

1 Mgbe Mosis, bụ odibo Onyenwe anyị nwụrụ, Onyenwe anyị gwara Joshua nwa Nun, onye na-enyere Mosis aka okwu sị,
Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying,
2 “Mosis, odibo m anwụọla. Ugbu a, jikere onwe gị, meekwa ka ndị m jikere ịgafe ofe ọzọ nke osimiri Jọdan, ịbanye nʼala ahụ m na-aga inye ha, bụ ndị Izrel.
Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you, and all this people, to the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
3 Ana m agwa gị ihe m gwara Mosis mgbe ọ dị ndụ sị, Ebe ọbụla unu ga-azọkwasị ụkwụ unu nʼala, ala ahụ ga-abụ nke unu.
Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread on, that have I given to you, as I said to Moses.
4 Oke ala unu ga-abụ site nʼọzara dị na ndịda ruo Lebanọn, ma site nʼiyi ukwu Yufretis, tinyere ala niile nke ndị Het, ruo nʼosimiri ukwu ahụ dị nʼọdịda anyanwụ.
From the wilderness and this Lebanon even to the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.
5 Ọ dịghị onye ọbụla pụrụ iguzo imegide gị ụbọchị niile nke ndụ gị. Aga m anọnyere gị dịka m si nọnyere Mosis. Agaghị m ahapụ gị aka. Agaghị m agbakụtakwa gị azụ.
There shall not any man be able to stand before you all the days of your life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with you: I will not fail you, nor forsake you.
6 Dịrị ike, nweekwa ume, nʼihi na ị ga-abụ onye ga-edu ndị a iketa ala ahụ m ṅụrụ nʼiyi inye nna nna ha ochie.
Be strong and of a good courage: for to this people shall you divide for an inheritance the land, which I swore to their fathers to give them.
7 “Naanị dịrị ike, nweekwa ume. Lezie anya ime ihe niile Mosis bụ odibo m nyere gị nʼiwu. Ewezugala onwe gị na ya gaa aka nri maọbụ aka ekpe, ka ihe si otu a gaara gị nke ọma nʼebe ọbụla ị na-aga.
Only be you strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded you: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
8 Esitela nʼọnụ gị wezuga ihe dị nʼAkwụkwọ Iwu a. Kama na-atụgharị uche gị na ya ehihie na abalị, ka i si otu a lezie anya imezu ihe niile e dere nʼime ya. Mgbe ahụ ị ga-aba ụba, ihe ga-agakwara gị nke ọma.
This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.
9 Ọ bụ na m enyebeghị gị iwu sị gị, Nwee obi ike, dịrịkwa ike! Wezuga ụjọ niile na ịda mba nke obi. Cheta na mụ, bụ Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị, nọnyeere gị ebe ọbụla ị na-aga.”
Have not I commanded you? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be you dismayed: for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
10 Mgbe ahụ, Joshua nyere ndịisi Izrel niile iwu sị ha,
Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,
11 “Jegharịanụ nʼetiti ebe obibi ụmụ Izrel gwa mmadụ niile okwu sị ha ‘Dozierenụ onwe unu ihe unu ga-eri nʼụzọ, nʼihi na nʼime ụbọchị atọ, anyị ga-agafe osimiri Jọdan, imeri na inweta ala ahụ Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke na-enye unu.’”
Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days you shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God gives you to possess it.
12 Joshua kpọkọtara ndịisi ebo Ruben, na Gad, na ọkara ebo Manase, gwa ha okwu sị,
And to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh, spoke Joshua, saying,
13 “Chetanụ iwu ahụ Mosis odibo Onyenwe anyị nyere unu, mgbe ọ sịrị, ‘Onyenwe anyị Chineke unu na-enye unu izuike. O nyekwala unu ala a.’
Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God has given you rest, and has given you this land.
14 Kama ndị nwunye unu, na ụmụntakịrị unu, na anụ ụlọ unu, ga-anọ nʼala a dị nʼọwụwa anyanwụ nke Mosis nyere unu. Ma ndị agha unu, ndị jikeere ejike, ga-eduru ndị Izrel ndị ọzọ gafee osimiri Jọdan inyere ụmụnna ha aka,
Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but you shall pass before your brothers armed, all the mighty men of valor, and help them;
15 tutu ruo mgbe Onyenwe anyị Chineke unu nyere ha izuike, dịka o si nye unu, na tutu ruo mgbe ha nwetara ala niile bụ nke Onyenwe anyị Chineke unu ga-enye ha. Mgbe nke a mezuru, unu ga-alaghachi azụ, nweta ala ahụ Mosis onyeozi Onyenwe anyị nyere unu nʼakụkụ ọwụwa anyanwụ osimiri Jọdan.”
Until the LORD have given your brothers rest, as he has given you, and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God gives them: then you shall return to the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD’s servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sun rise.
16 Mgbe ahụ, ha zara Joshua, “Ihe ọbụla nke ị nyere anyị nʼiwu anyị ga-eme ha, ebe ọbụla i zigara anyị ka anyị ga-aga.
And they answered Joshua, saying, All that you command us we will do, and wherever you send us, we will go.
17 Anyị ga-ege gị ntị dịka anyị si gee Mosis ntị. Ka Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị nọnyere gị dịka o si nọnyere Mosis.
According as we listened to Moses in all things, so will we listen to you: only the LORD your God be with you, as he was with Moses.
18 Onye ọbụla nupuru isi nʼiwu i nyere anyị, ọ ga-anwụ. Naanị dịrị ike, nweekwa obi ike.”
Whoever he be that does rebel against your commandment, and will not listen to your words in all that you command him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage.
