Izikiel 30
1 Okwu Onyenwe anyị ruru m ntị, sị,
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
2 “Nwa nke mmadụ, buo amụma sịkwa, ‘Otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị na-ekwu, “‘Kwasienụ akwa ike ma sị, “Ewoo, nʼihi ụbọchị ahụ!”
“Son of man, prophesy and say: Thus says the Lord God: Wail: ‘Woe, woe to the day!’
3 Nʼihi nʼụbọchị ahụ adịla nso, Ụbọchị nke Onyenwe anyị abịala nso, ụbọchị igwe ojii, ụbọchị ga-ewetara mba dị iche iche mbibi.
For the day is near, and the day of the Lord is approaching! It is a day of gloom; it will be the time of the Gentiles.
4 Mma agha ga-abịakwasị Ijipt, ihe mgbu ga-adakwasị Kush. Mgbe ndị e gburu egbu ga-abụ aja dị nʼala, a ga-ekpokọrọkwa akụnụba ya, mebikwaa ntọala ya. Ala ya ga-abụkwa ihe e bibiri ebibi.
And the sword will come to Egypt. And there will be dread in Ethiopia, when the wounded will have fallen in Egypt, and its multitude will have been taken away, and its foundations will have been destroyed.
5 Kush na Libiya, Lidiya na ndị Arebịa niile gwara ọgwa, Kub na ndị mba ọgbụgba ndụ ahụ, na Ijipt ga-eso daa site na mma agha.
Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the rest of the common people, and Chub, and the sons of the land of the covenant, will fall with them by the sword.
6 “‘Ọ bụ ihe a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru: “‘Ndị niile na-akwagide Ijipt ga-ada, nganga niile nke ike ya ga-agwụsịkwa. Site na Migdol ruo nʼAswan, ọ bụ site na mma agha ka ha ga-ada nʼime ya. Otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.
Thus says the Lord God: And those who prop up Egypt will fall, and the arrogance of its reign will be brought down. They will fall in it by the sword, before the tower of Syene, says the Lord, the God of hosts.
7 Ha ga-atọgbọrọ nʼefu, nʼetiti ala niile tọgbọrọ nʼefu. Obodo ha niile ga-abụ mkpọmkpọ ebe, nʼetiti ọtụtụ obodo e bibiri ebibi.
And they will be scattered into the midst of desolate lands, and its cities will be in the midst of cities that have been deserted.
8 Mgbe ahụ, ha ga-amata na mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị, mgbe m tinyesịrị ọkụ nʼIjipt, mgbe m gwepịara ndị niile na-enyere ya aka.
And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I will have brought a fire into Egypt, and when all its helpers will have been worn away.
9 “‘Nʼụbọchị ahụ, aga m ezipu ndị ozi ndị ga-eji ụgbọ dị iche iche, ka ha gaa menye ndị Kush egwu, bụ ndị onwe ha jụrụ afọ. Oke egwu ga-ejidekwa ha nʼoge ahụ nʼihi ihe dakwasịrị Ijipt, nʼihi ihe ndị a aghaghị imezu.
In that day, messengers will go forth from my face in Greek warships, in order to crush the confidence of Ethiopia. And there will be dread among them in the day of Egypt; for without doubt, it will happen.
10 “‘Otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwuru, “‘Aga m esite nʼaka Nebukadneza eze Babilọn bibie igwe ndị agha Ijipt niile.
Thus says the Lord God: By the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, I will cause the multitude of Egypt to cease.
11 Ya onwe ya na ndị agha ya, bụ mba kachasị mba niile njọ na-enweghị obi ebere, ka a ga-akpọbata ka ha bịa bibie ala ahụ. Ha ga-amịpụta mma agha ha megide Ijipt, werekwa ozu ndị e gburu egbu tụsasịa nʼala ahụ.
He, and his people with him, the strongest of the Gentiles, will be brought forth in order to destroy the land. And they will draw their swords over Egypt. And they will fill the land with the slain.
12 Aga m eme ka osimiri Naịl taa. Ọ ga-aghọkwa ala kpọrọ nkụ. Aga m ewerekwa ala ahụ resi mba ndị ọjọọ. Aga m ala ala ahụ na ihe niile dị nʼime ya nʼiyi. Ọ bụkwa ndị mba ọzọ ka m ga-eji mee ya. Mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị ekwuola ya.
And I will cause the channels of the rivers to dry up. And I will deliver the land into the hand of the most wicked. And by the hands of foreigners, I will utterly destroy the land and its plenitude. I, the Lord, have spoken.
13 “‘Otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwuru, “‘M ga-ala arụsị niile nʼiyi, mekwaa ka ihe niile a kpụrụ akpụ dị na Memfis kwụsị. Onye eze agakwaghị adị ọzọ nʼIjipt, aga m emekwa ka egwu jupụta nʼala ahụ niile.
Thus says the Lord God: And I will destroy the graven images, and I will cause the idols of Memphis to cease. And there will no longer be a commander of the land of Egypt. And I will send terror upon the land of Egypt.
14 Aga m emekwa ka Patros tọgbọrọ nʼefu. Aga m etinye ọkụ na Zoan, ma taa Tibs ahụhụ.
And I will destroy the land of Pathros, and I will send a fire upon Tahpanhes, and I will execute judgments in Alexandria.
15 M ga-awụkwasị Pelusium ọnụma m, bụ ebe siri ike nke Ijipt, m ga-ebipụkwa igwe ndị Tibs niile.
And I will pour out my indignation upon Pelusium, the strength of Egypt, and I will kill the multitude of Alexandria.
16 Aga m amụnye ọkụ nʼIjipt, Pelusium ga-anọ nʼoke ihe mgbu. A ga-eji ike tipịa Tibs. Memfis ga-anọgidekwa nʼọnọdụ ọjọọ ụbọchị niile.
And I will send a fire upon Egypt. Pelusium will be in pain, like a woman giving birth. And Alexandria will be utterly destroyed. And in Memphis, there will be anguish every day.
17 Ụmụ okorobịa Heliopolis na Bubasti ga-anwụ site na mma agha. Obodo ndị a niile ga-abụkwa ndị a dọtara nʼagha.
The young men of Heliopolis and Pibeseth will fall by the sword, and the young women will be led into captivity.
18 Ụbọchị ahụ ga-agba ọchịchịrị na Tapanhis mgbe m ga-agbaji yoku Ijipt, nʼebe ahụ ka mpako nke ike ya ga-agwụsị. Igwe ojii ga-ekpuchi ya, a ga-adọtakwa obodo nta ya niile nʼagha.
And in Tahpanhes, the day will grow black, when, in that place, I will break the scepters of Egypt. And the arrogance of her authority will fail within her; a gloom will cover her. Then her daughters will be led into captivity.
19 Aga m eme ka Ijipt taa ahụhụ dị ukwuu, ka ha mata nʼezie na mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị.’”
And I will execute judgments in Egypt. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”
20 O ruo, nʼafọ nke iri na otu ya, nʼụbọchị nke asaa, nʼọnwa nke mbụ, okwu nke Onyenwe anyị ruru m ntị, sị,
And it happened that, in the eleventh year, in the first month, on the seventh of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
21 “Nwa nke mmadụ, agbajiela m ogwe aka Fero, eze Ijipt. Lee, o nwebeghị onye gbara ya ọkpụkpụ, ma ọ bụkwanụ kee ya ihe, ka o sie ike ọzọ ijide mma agha.
“Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. And behold, it has not been wrapped, so that it might be restored to health; it has not been bound with cloths, or bandaged with linen, so that, having recovered strength, it would be able to hold the sword.
22 Nʼihi ya, nke a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị sịrị: Lee, mụ onwe m na-emegide Fero bụ eze Ijipt. Aga m agbaji ogwe aka ya abụọ, ma nke siri ike ma nke gbajiri agbaji na mbụ. Aga m emekwa ka mma agha ya si nʼaka ya dapụ.
Because of this, thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and I will shatter his strong arm, which has already been broken. And I will cast the sword away from his hand.
23 Aga m achụsa ndị Ijipt nʼetiti mba niile tụsaakwa ha nʼobodo niile,
And I will disperse Egypt among the nations, and I will scatter them among the lands.
24 meekwa ka ogwe aka abụọ nke eze Babilọn sie ike. Aga m etinye mma agha m nʼaka ya, ma ogwe aka abụọ nke Fero ka m ga-agbajisi. Mgbe ahụ, Fero ga-asụ ude nʼihu eze Babilọn dịka onye e merụrụ ahụ.
And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon. And I will put my sword into his hand. And I will break the arms of Pharaoh. And they will groan acutely, when they are slain before his face.
25 Aga m eme ka ogwe aka abụọ nke eze Babilọn sie ike; ma ogwe aka Fero ga-akpọnwụ. Mgbe ahụ, ha ga-amatakwa na mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị, mgbe m tinyere mma agha nʼaka eze Babilọn, na mgbe o setịpụrụ ya imegide Ijipt.
And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon. And the arms of Pharaoh will fall. And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I will have given my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and when he will have extended it over the land of Egypt.
26 Aga m achụsa ndị Ijipt nʼetiti mba niile, fesaa ha nʼala niile. Mgbe ahụ, ha ga-amata na mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị.”
And I will disperse Egypt among the nations, and I will scatter them among the lands. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”
