1 Nʼafọ nke iri, nʼọnwa nke iri, nʼụbọchị nke iri na abụọ, okwu nke Onyenwe anyị ruru m ntị, sị,
In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the eleventh day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
2 “Nwa nke mmadụ, chee ihu gị nʼIjipt buo amụma megide Fero bụ eze Ijipt, na ala Ijipt niile.
“Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and you shall prophesy about him and about all of Egypt.
3 Gwa ya okwu, sị, ‘Otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị sịrị: “‘Lee, mụ onwe m na-emegide gị, Fero eze Ijipt, gị onye bụ ogologo anụ ọjọọ ahụ na-amakpu nʼetiti mmiri iyi. Nʼihi na ị sịrị, “Ọ bụ m nwe Naịl, ọ bụkwa mụ onwe m mere ya nye onwe m.”
Speak, and you shall say: Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh, king of Egypt, you great dragon, who rests in the midst of your rivers. And you say: ‘Mine is the river, and I have made myself.’
4 Ma aga m etinye nko nʼagba gị, mee ka azụ niile nke iyi gị niile rapara nʼakpịrịkpa gị. Aga m adọpụta gị site nʼetiti iyi gị niile, mee ka azụ niile rapara nʼakpịrịkpa gị.
But I will place a bridle in your jaws. And I will adhere the fish of your rivers to your scales. And I will draw you out of the midst of your rivers, and all your fish will adhere to your scales.
5 Aga m ahapụ gị na azụ niile nke osimiri iyi gị nʼọzara, ebe ahụ ka unu ga-anọ nwụọ nʼala ubi, a gaghị eli unu eli maọbụ tụtụọ unu, nʼihi na emeela m ka unu bụrụ nri nye anụ ọhịa niile, na nnụnụ niile.
And I will cast you into the desert, with all the fish of your river. You will fall upon the surface of the earth; you will not be taken up, nor gathered together. I have given you to the beasts of the earth and to the birds of the air, to be devoured.
6 Mgbe ahụ, ndị niile bi nʼIjipt ga-amata na mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị. “‘Ị dịrịla ka mkpanaka achara nʼebe ụlọ Izrel nọ.
And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the Lord. For you have been a staff made of reed to the house of Israel.
7 Mgbe ha jidere gị nʼaka, ị nyajiri dọwaa ha ubu ha. Mgbe ha dabeere na gị, ị gbajiri mee ka ha ghara inwekwa ike iguzosi ike nʼụkwụ ha.
When they took hold of you with the hand, you broke, and so you wounded all of their shoulders. And when they leaned on you, you shattered, and so you injured all of their lower backs.
8 “‘Nʼihi ya, otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwuru: Lee, aga m eme ka mma agha bịakwasị gị, aga m ebipụkwa mmadụ na anụmanụ niile dị nʼime gị.
Because of this, thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will lead the sword over you, and I will destroy both man and beast from among you.
9 Ala Ijipt ga-aghọ ebe tọgbọrọ nʼefu; ha ga-amatakwa na mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị. “‘Nʼihi na ị sịrị, “Osimiri Naịl bụ nke m. Ọ bụ m kere ya.”
And the land of Egypt will be a desert and a wilderness. And they shall know that I am the Lord. For you have said, ‘The river is mine, and I have made it.’
10 Nʼihi ya, aga m edo onwe m megide gị, megidekwa osimiri gị. Aga m ala Ijipt niile nʼiyi site na Migdol ruo Aswan, ruokwa nʼoke ala ha na ndị Kush.
Therefore, behold, I am against you and against your rivers. And I will make the land of Egypt into a wilderness, destroyed by the sword from the tower of Syene all the way to the borders of Ethiopia.
11 Ọ dịghị ụkwụ anụmanụ maọbụ mmadụ ga-agafe nʼime ya, agaghị ebikwa nʼime ya ruo mgbe iri afọ anọ gasịrị.
The foot of man will not pass through it, and the foot of cattle will not walk in it. And it will be uninhabited for forty years.
12 Aga m emekwa ka ala Ijipt bụrụ ebe tọgbọrọ nʼefu nʼetiti mkpọmkpọ ala niile, obodo ya niile ga-atọgbọrọ nʼefu iri afọ anọ nʼetiti obodo ndị e mere ka ha laa nʼiyi. Aga m achụsasị ndị Ijipt nʼetiti mba niile, fesaa ha nʼala niile.
And I will set the land of Egypt in desolation, in the midst of desolate lands, and its cities in the midst of overturned cites. And they will be desolate for forty years. And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and I will disperse them among the lands.
13 “‘Ọzọkwa, Otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị sịrị, nʼọgwụgwụ iri afọ anọ ahụ, aga m achịkọtakwa ndị Ijipt site nʼebe niile ha gbasara.
For thus says the Lord God: After the end of forty years, I will gather the Egyptians from the peoples among whom they had been scattered.
14 Aga m emekwa ka ndị ya niile laghachi nʼala Patros, ala ebe a mụrụ ha. Ma Ijipt agaghị abụkwa alaeze a maara nke ọma ọzọ.
And I will lead back the captivity of Egypt, and I will collect them in the land of Pathros, in the land of their nativity. And in that place, they will be a lowly kingdom.
15 Ọ ga-abụ alaeze dị nnọọ ala karịa alaeze niile. Ọ dịkwaghị mgbe ọzọ ọ ga-eweli onwe ya elu karịa mba ọzọ niile. Aga m emekwa ka ha dị nta, nke ha agaghị inwe ike achịkwa mba niile ọzọ.
It will be the lowest among the other kingdoms, and it will no longer be exalted above the nations. And I will diminish them, lest they rule over the Gentiles.
16 Ijipt agaghị abụkwara ụlọ Izrel ihe ntụkwasị obi, kama ọ ga-abụrụ ha ihe iji cheta mmehie ha mere mgbe ha lere anya enyemaka site nʼaka ya. Mgbe ahụ, ha ga-amata na mụ onwe m bụ Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụOnyenwe anyị.’”
And they will no longer be the confidence of the house of Israel, teaching iniquity, so that they may flee and follow them. And they shall know that I am the Lord God.”
17 Ọ ruo, nʼiri afọ abụọ na asaa, nʼọnwa mbụ, nʼụbọchị nke mbụ, ka okwu nke Onyenwe anyị ruru m ntị, sị,
And it happened that, in the twenty-seventh year, in the first month, on the first of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
18 “Nwa nke mmadụ, Nebukadneza bụ eze Babilọn mere ka ndị agha ya lụsoo Taịa ọgụ nʼebe ọ dị ukwuu. Isi niile ọbụla ka e mere ka ọ kwọchasịa, ubu niile kwa echihịara echihịa. Ma ya na ndị agha ya anataghị ụgwọ ọrụ ọbụla, nʼagha ahụ o buru megide Taịa.
“Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, has caused his army to serve with great servility against Tyre. Every head was shaven, and every shoulder was stripped of hair. And wages have not been paid to him, nor to his army, for Tyre, for the service by which he served for me against it.
19 Nʼihi nke a, Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị na-ekwu sị: Lee, ana m aga inye Nebukadneza eze Babilọn ala Ijipt. Ọ ga-akwakọrọ akụnụba ya, ọ ga-azacha ma bukọrọkwa ihe niile nke dị nʼala ahụ. Ha ga-abụkwa ụgwọ ọrụ nke ndị agha ya.
Because of this, thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will station Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, in the land of Egypt. And he will take its multitude, and he will prey upon its profits, and he will plunder its spoils. And this shall be the wages for his army
20 Enyefeela m ala Ijipt nʼaka ya, ka ọ bụrụ ụgwọ ọrụ nʼihi ọrụ ya, nʼihi na ya na ndị agha ya rụụrụ m ya. Otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.”
and for the work by which he has served against it. I have given to him the land of Egypt, because he has labored for me, says the Lord God.
In that day, a horn will spring forth for the house of Israel, and I will give to you an open mouth in their midst. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”
