रोमियों 12

1 प्रिय भाई बहिनो, परमेश्वर की बड़ी दया के प्रकाश में तुम सबसे मेरी विनती है कि तुम अपने शरीर को परमेश्वर के लिए परमेश्वर को भानेवाला जीवन तथा पवित्र बलि के रूप में भेंट करो. यही तुम्हारी आत्मिक आराधना की विधि है.

I entreat you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies to Him as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. This is your reasonable service of worship.

2 इस संसार के स्वरूप में न ढलो, परंतु मन के नए हो जाने के द्वारा तुममें जड़ से परिवर्तन हो जाए कि तुम परमेश्वर की इच्छा को, जो उत्तम, ग्रहण करने योग्य तथा त्रुटिहीन है, सत्यापित कर सको. (aiōn g165)

And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (aiōn g165)

3 मुझे दिए गए बड़े अनुग्रह के द्वारा मैं तुममें से हर एक को संबोधित करते हुए कहता हूं कि कोई भी स्वयं को अधिक न समझे, परंतु स्वयं के विषय में तुम्हारा आंकलन परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए विश्वास के परिमाण के अनुसार हो.

For, through the grace that was given to me, I tell every man among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but so to think, as to think soberly, according to the measure of faith which God has given him.

4 यह इसलिये कि जिस प्रकार हमारे शरीर में अनेक अंग होते हैं और सब अंग एक ही काम नहीं करते;

For even as we have many members in one body, and not all members have the same function;

5 उसी प्रकार हम, जो अनेक हैं, मसीह में एक शरीर तथा व्यक्तिगत रूप से सभी एक दूसरे के अंग हैं.

so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and we are severally members of one another.

6 इसलिये कि हमें दिए गए अनुग्रह के अनुसार हममें पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा दी गई भिन्‍न-भिन्‍न क्षमताएं हैं. जिसे भविष्यवाणी की क्षमता प्राप्‍त है, वह उसका उपयोग अपने विश्वास के अनुसार करे;

But we have gifts differing according to the grace which was given to us. He that has the gift of prophecy, let him prophesy according to the proportion of his faith.

7 यदि सेवकाई की, तो सेवकाई में; सिखाने की, तो सिखाने में;

If it is the gift of administration, let us give ourselves to our service.

8 उपदेशक की, तो उपदेश देने में; सहायता की, तो बिना दिखावे के उदारतापूर्वक देने में; जिसे अगुवाई की, वह मेहनत के साथ अगुवाई करे तथा जिसे करुणाभाव की, वह इसका प्रयोग सहर्ष करे.

Let the teacher give himself to his teaching; and he who exhorts others to his exhortation. He who gives, let him do it in singleness of mind. He who rules, let him rule with diligence; and he who shows mercy must be cheerful.

9 प्रेम निष्कपट हो; बुराई से घृणा करो; आदर्श के प्रति आसक्त रहो;

Let love be without insincerity. Abhor what is evil; wed yourselves to what is good.

10 आपसी प्रेम में समर्पित रहो; अन्यों को ऊंचा सम्मान दो;

As for brotherly love, be tenderly affectionate one to another, in honor preferring one another.

11 तुम्हारा उत्साह कभी कम न हो; आत्मिक उत्साह बना रहे; प्रभु की सेवा करते रहो;

In your diligence be free from sloth. Be glowing in spirit. Slave for the master.

12 आशा में आनंद, क्लेशों में धीरज तथा प्रार्थना में नियमितता बनाए रखो;

Rejoice in hope; be patient under affliction; continue stedfast in prayer.

13 पवित्र संतों की सहायता के लिए तत्पर रहो, आतिथ्य सत्कार करते रहो.

Be liberal to needy saints. Practise hospitality.

14 अपने सतानेवालों के लिए तुम्हारे मुख से आशीष ही निकले—आशीष—न कि शाप;

Bless your persecutors, bless, and curse not.

15 जो आनंदित हैं, उनके साथ आनंद मनाओ तथा जो शोकित हैं, उनके साथ शोक;

Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.

16 तुममें आपस में मेल भाव हो; तुम्हारी सोच में अहंकार न हो परंतु उनसे मिलने-जुलने के लिए तत्पर रहो, जो समाज की दृष्टि में छोटे हैं; स्वयं को ज्ञानवान न समझो.

Have full sympathy with one another. Set not your minds on high affairs, but associate with lowly folk. Do not be wise in your own conceits.

17 किसी के प्रति भी दुष्टता का बदला दुष्टता न हो; तुम्हारा स्वभाव सब की दृष्टि में सुहावना हो;

Do not pay back evil for evil. Aim to do what is honorable in the eyes of all.

18 यदि संभव हो तो यथाशक्ति सभी के साथ मेल बनाए रखो.

If it be possible, so far as it lies with you, be at peace with all men.

19 प्रियजन, तुम स्वयं बदला न लो—इसे परमेश्वर के क्रोध के लिए छोड़ दो, क्योंकि शास्त्र का लेख है: बदला लेना मेरा काम है, प्रतिफल मैं दूंगा. प्रभु का कथन यह भी है:

Never revenge yourself, beloved, but leave the field clear for God’s wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay," says the Lord.

20 यदि तुम्हारा शत्रु भूखा है, उसे भोजन कराओ, यदि वह प्यासा है, उसे पानी दो; ऐसा करके तुम उसके सिर पर अंगारों का ढेर लगा दोगे.

On the contrary, therefore, If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for by so doing you will be heaping burning coals on his head.

21 बुराई से न हारकर बुराई को भलाई के द्वारा हरा दो.

Do not be overcome by evil, but be overcoming evil with good.
