उत्पत्ति 15
1 इन बातों के बाद अब्राम को एक दर्शन में याहवेह का यह संदेश मिला: “अब्राम, भयभीत न हो, मैं तुम्हारी ढाल, और तुम्हारा सबसे बड़ा प्रतिफल हूं.”
After - the things these it came [the] word of Yahweh to Abram in the vision saying may not you fear O Abram I [am] a shield of you reward your [will be] great very.
2 अब्राम ने उत्तर दिया, “हे प्रभु याहवेह, आप मुझे क्या दे सकते हैं, क्योंकि मेरी कोई संतान नहीं है, और मेरा वारिस दमेशेक का एलिएज़र होगा?”
And he said Abram O Lord Yahweh what? will you give to me and I [am] going childless and [the] son of [the] acquisition of household my he [is] Damascus Eliezer.
3 अब्राम ने यह भी कहा, “आपकी ओर से तो मुझे कोई संतान नहीं मिली; इसलिये मेरे घर में एक सेवक मेरा वारिस होगा.”
And he said Abram here! to me not you have given offspring and there! [the] son of household my [is] inheriting me.
4 तब अब्राम के पास याहवेह का यह वचन आया, “तुम्हारा वारिस यह दास नहीं, परंतु एक पुत्र जो तुम्हारा ही मांस और खून है, तुम्हारा वारिस होगा.”
And there! [the] word of Yahweh [was] to him saying not he will inherit you this [one] that except [one] who he will come out from inward parts your he he will inherit you.
5 याहवेह अब्राम को बाहर ले गए और अब्राम से कहने लगे, “आकाश की ओर देखो. और तारों की गिनती करो.” याहवेह ने अब्राम से कहा, “ऐसे ही तुम्हारा वंश होगा, जिनको कोई गिन नहीं पायेगा.”
And he brought out him the outside towards and he said look please the heavens towards and count the stars if you are able to count them and he said to him thus it will be offspring your.
6 अब्राम ने याहवेह पर विश्वास किया; याहवेह ने इस बात को उसकी धार्मिकता मानी.
And he believed in Yahweh and he credited it to him righteousness.
7 याहवेह ने अब्राम को आश्वासन दिया “मैं वही याहवेह हूं, जिसने तुम्हें कसदियों के ऊर नगर से बाहर निकाला, ताकि तुम्हें यह देश मिले और तुम इस देश पर अधिकार करे.”
And he said to him I [am] Yahweh who I brought out you from Ur of [the] Chaldeans to give to you the land this to take possession of it.
8 अब्राम ने कहा, “हे प्रभु याहवेह, मैं कैसे जानूं कि आप मुझे यह देश देंगे?”
And he said O Lord Yahweh how? will I know that I will take possession of it.
9 इसलिये परमेश्वर ने अब्राम से कहा, “मेरे लिए तीन वर्ष की एक कलोर, तीन वर्ष की एक बकरी, तीन वर्ष का एक मेढ़ा, एक पिण्डुक तथा एक कबूतर का बच्चा ले आओ.”
And he said to him bring! to me a heifer three years old and a goat three years old and a ram three years old and a turtle-dove and a young pigeon.
10 अब्राम याहवेह के लिए ये सब ले आए, इन सभी चीज़ों को काटकर दो-दो टुकड़े किए तथा हर एक टुकड़े को आमने-सामने रख दिये, पर उन्होंने पक्षियों के टुकड़े नहीं किए.
And he brought to him all these and he cut in pieces them in the middle and he set each piece its to meet neighbor its and the bird[s] not he cut in two.
11 इन टुकड़ों को देख गिद्ध नीचे उतर आए, किंतु अब्राम ने उन्हें भगा दिया.
And it came down the bird[s] of prey on the carcasses and he drove away them Abram.
12 जब सूरज डूब रहा था, तब अब्राम गहरी नींद में सो गए और पूरा अंधेरा हो गया.
And it was the sun [about] to go and a deep sleep it fell on Abram and there! dread darkness great [was] falling on him.
13 तब याहवेह ने अब्राम से कहा, “यह सच है तुम्हारे वंश के लोग पराए देश में परदेशी होकर रहेंगे, जहां उन्हें दास बना लिया जाएगा, और वे उन्हें चार सौ वर्ष तक दुःख देंगे.
And he said to Abram certainly you will know that a sojourner - it will be offspring your in a land [which] not [belongs] to them and they will serve them and they will afflict them four hundred year[s].
14 फिर जिस देश के वे दास होंगे, उस देश के लोगों को मैं दंड दूंगा, फिर तुम्हारे वंश के लोग वहां से बहुत धन लेकर निकलेंगे.
And also the nation which they will serve [will be] judging I and after thus they will come out with possession[s] great.
15 पर तुम्हारा अंत बहुत शांति से होगा और तुम अपनी पूरे बुढ़ापे की आयु में अपने पुरखों के पास दफनाए जाओगे.
And you you will go to ancestors your in peace you will be buried in old age good.
16 तुम्हारा वंश, चौथी पीढ़ी में यहां फिर लौट आयेगा, क्योंकि अमोरियों का अधर्म अब तक पूरा नहीं हुआ.”
And [the] generation fourth they will return hither for not [is] complete [the] iniquity of the Amorite[s] until now.
17 शाम ढलकर रात बहुत हो गई थी तब एक अंगीठी जिससे धुआं निकल रहा था और उसमें से एक जलता हुआ पतीला उन टुकड़ों के बीच में से गुजरा.
And it was the sun it had gone and darkness it was and there! a fire pot of smoke and a torch of fire which it passed between the pieces these.
18 और उसी दिन याहवेह ने अब्राम से एक वाचा बांधी और कहा, “मैं तुम्हारे वंश को मिस्र के नदी से लेकर फरात महानदी तक दूंगा,
On the day that he made Yahweh with Abram a covenant saying to offspring your I give the land this from [the] river of Egypt to the river great [the] river of Euphrates.
19 जो कि केनी, कनिज्ज़ी, कदमोनी,
The Kenite[s] and the Kenizzite[s] and the Kadmonite[s].
20 हित्ती, परिज्ज़ी, रेफाइम,
And the Hittite[s] and the Perizzite[s] and the Rephaites.
21 अमोरी, कनानी, गिर्गाशी तथा यबूसियों का देश है.”
And the Amorite[s] and the Canaanite[s] and the Girgashite[s] and the Jebusite[s].
