1 Don mai bi da kaɗe-kaɗe. Ta Dawuda bawan Ubangiji. Akwai magana a cikin zuciyata game da zunubin mugu. Babu tsoron Allah a idanunsa.
“To the chief musician, by the servant of the Lord, by David.” Saith vice itself to the wicked—so I feel it within my heart— that he should have no dread of God before his eyes.
2 Gama a idanunsa yana ganin kansa wani abu ne wanda ya sha ƙarfi a gane ko ya ƙi zunubinsa.
For he flattereth himself in his own eyes [too much] to find out his iniquity to hate it.
3 Kalmomin bakinsa mugaye ne da kuma ruɗu; ya daina zama mai hikima da yin alheri.
The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, to do good.
4 Ko a kan gadonsa ma yana shirya mugunta; yakan sa kansa ga aikata zunubi kuma ba ya ƙin abin da ba shi da kyau.
He deviseth wickedness upon his couch; he placeth himself on a way that is not good; evil he despiseth not.
5 Ƙaunarka, ya Ubangiji, kan kai sammai, amincinka har sararin sammai.
O Lord, into the heavens reacheth thy kindness, thy faithfulness even into the skies.
6 Adalcinka yana kama da manyan duwatsu, hukuncinka kamar zurfi mai girma. Ya Ubangiji, kana lura da mutum da dabba.
Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; thy acts of justice like the great deep: man and beast dost thou ever help, O Lord.
7 Ina misalin ƙaunarka marar ƙarewa! Mutane manya da ƙanana kan sami mafaka cikin inuwar fikafikanka.
How precious is thy kindness, O God! And the children of men that seek shelter under the shadow of thy wings, —
8 Suna biki a yalwar gidanka; kakan ba su sha daga rafin farin cikinka.
These will be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and of the stream of thy delights wilt thou give them to drink.
9 Gama a gare ka akwai maɓulɓular rai cikin haskenka mukan ga haske.
For with thee is the source of life: in thy light shall we see light.
10 Ka ci gaba da ƙaunarka ga waɗanda suka san ka, adalcinka ga masu gaskiyar zuciya.
Draw down continuously thy kindness unto those that acknowledge thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
11 Kada ka bari ƙafar mai girman kai yă fāɗa mini, ko hannun mugu ya kore ni.
Let not come against me the foot of pride, and let not the hand of the wicked chase me off.
12 Dubi yadda masu aikata zunubi suka fāɗi, a zube, ba za su kuwa iya tashi ba!
There are fallen the workers of wickedness: they are thrust down, and shall not be able to rise.
