1 Waƙar haurawa. Ta Dawuda. Na yi farin ciki tare da waɗanda suka ce da ni, “Bari mu tafi gidan Ubangiji.”

I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of Yhwh.

2 Ƙafafunmu suna tsaye a ƙofofinki, ya Urushalima.

Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

3 An gina Urushalima kamar birnin da aka yi a harhaɗe wuri guda.

Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:

4 A can ne kabilu suke haurawa, kabilan Ubangiji, don su yabi sunan Ubangiji bisa ga farillan da aka ba wa Isra’ila.

Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of Yah, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of Yhwh.

5 A can kursiyoyin shari’a yake tsaye, kursiyoyin gidan Dawuda.

For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

6 Ku yi addu’a don salamar Urushalima, “Bari waɗanda suke ƙaunarki su zauna lafiya.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

7 Bari salama ta kasance a katangarki zaman lafiya kuma a fadodinki.”

Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.

8 Saboda’yan’uwana da kuma abokaina, zan ce, “Salama tă kasance tare da ke.”

For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.

9 Saboda gidan Ubangiji Allahnmu, zan nemi wadatarki.

Because of the house of Yhwh our God I will seek thy good.
