Irmiya 14
1 Ga maganar Ubangiji da ta zo wa Irmiya game da fări cewa,
So much of the word of Yahweh as came unto Jeremiah, concerning the matter of the drought: —
2 “Yahuda tana makoki biranenta suna fama; suna kuka saboda ƙasar, kuka kuma tana tasowa daga Urushalima.
Judah mourneth, And the gates thereof, pine They lie in gloom on the ground, —And, the outcry of Jerusalem, hath ascended;
3 Manyan mutane suna aika bayinsu su ɗebo ruwa a maɓulɓulai amma babu ruwa. Suka dawo da tulunansu haka nan; da kunya da kuma ƙasƙanci, da kawunansu a rufe.
And, their nobles have sent their menials to the waters, —They have been to the pits, They have found no water They have returned, their vessels empty, They are pale and ashamed and have covered their heads.
4 Ƙasa ta tsattsage saboda babu ruwan sama a ƙasar; manoma sun sha kunya suka kuma rufe kawunansu.
Because the ground, is cracked, For there hath been no rain in the land, The plowmen are pale They have covered their heads.
5 Har barewa a kurmi ma ta gudu ta bar’ya’yan da ta haihu sababbi saboda babu ciyawa.
For, even the hind of the field hath calved and forsaken, Because there is no young herbage;
6 Jakan jeji suna tsaye a kan tuddai suna haki kamar diloli; idanunsu sun kāsa gani saboda rashin makiyaya.”
Yea, wild asses stand still on the bare heights, They pant for air like jackals, —Dimmed are their eyes Because there is no grass.
7 Ko da yake zunubanmu suna ba da shaida a kanmu, Ya Ubangiji, ka yi wani abu saboda sunanka. Gama jan bayanmu ya yi yawa; mun yi maka zunubi.
Though, our iniquities, have testified against us, O Yahweh, effectually work thou for the sake of thy Name, —For our apostasies have abounded Against thee, have we sinned.
8 Ya kai, Sa Zuciyar Isra’ila, Mai Cetonsa a lokutan wahala, me ya sa kake yi kamar baƙo a ƙasar, kamar matafiyi wanda yake shirya wuri don yă kwana gari ya waye ya wuce?
Thou Hope of Israel, His Saviour in the time of distress, —Wherefore shouldst thou be as a sojourner in the and? Or as a wayfarer, who hath turned aside to lodge for the night?
9 Me ya sa kake yi kamar mutumin da aka far masa kwasam ba zato, kamar jarumi marar ƙarfin ceto? Kana a cikinmu, ya Ubangiji, da sunanka ake kiranmu; kada ka yashe mu!
Wherefore, shouldst thou be as a man astounded, As a mighty man who cannot save? Yet, thou, art in our midst—O Yahweh And, thy Name, on us, hath been called Do not abandon us!
10 Ga abin da Ubangiji ya ce game da wannan mutane, “Suna son yawace-yawace ƙwarai; ba sa hana ƙafafunsu yawo. Saboda haka Ubangiji bai yarda da su ba; yanzu zai tuna da muguntarsu zai kuma hukunta su saboda zunubansu.”
Thus, saith Yahweh To this people In this way, have they loved to wander, Their feet, have they not restrained, —Yahweh, therefore hath not accepted them, Now, will he call to mind their iniquity, —That he may punish their sins.
11 Sa’an nan Ubangiji ya ce mini, “Kada ka yi addu’a domin zaman lafiyar mutanen nan.
And Yahweh said unto me, —Do not pray for this people for blessing;
12 Ko da yake suna azumi, ba zan saurari kukansu ba, ko da yake suna miƙa hadayun ƙonawa da hadayun gari, ba zan yarda da su ba. A maimako zan hallaka su da takobi, yunwa da annoba.”
Though they fast, I am not going to hearken unto their loud cry, and Though they offer ascending-sacrifice and meal-offering, I am not going to accept them, —For with sword and with famine and with pestilence, am, I, about to consume them.
13 Amma na ce, “A, Ubangiji Mai Iko Duka, annabawa sun riƙa ce musu, ‘Ba za ku ga takobi ko ku yi fama da yunwa ba. A maimako, zan ba ku madawwamiyar salama.’”
Then said I, Ah, My Lord Yahweh! Lo! the prophets, are saying to them—Ye shall not see the sword And famine, shall ye not have, —For prosperity in truth, will I give you, in this place.
14 Sai Ubangiji ya ce mini, “Annabawa suna ta annabcin ƙarya da sunana. Ban aike su ba, ban kuma naɗa su ba, ban yi musu magana ba. Suna muku annabci wahayin ƙarya, suna muku duba marar amfani, suna bautar gumaka suna kuma bayyana tunanin kansu ne.
So then Yahweh said unto me, Falsehood, are the prophets prophesying in my name, I have not sent them Neither have I commanded them, Neither have I spoken unto them, —A vision of falsehood, and A divination of worthlessness and A fraud of their own hearts, They, are prophesying unto you.
15 Saboda haka, ga abin da Ubangiji ya ce game da annabawan da suke annabci da sunana. Ban aike su ba, duk da haka suna cewa, ‘Babu takobi ko yunwar da zai taɓa wannan ƙasa.’ Waɗannan annabawa takobi da yunwa za su hallaka su.
Therefore, Thus, saith Yahweh concerning the prophets who are prophesying in my Name though, I, sent them not, and yet, they have been, saying, Neither sword nor famine, shall there be in this land, —By sword or by famine, shall, those prophets, be consumed;
16 Mutanen da suke musu annabcin kuwa za a kore su zuwa titunan Urushalima saboda yunwa da kuma takobi. Babu wanda zai binne su, ko ya binne matansu, ko’ya’yansu maza da mata. Zan aukar musu da masifar da ya dace da su.
And the people to whom they have been prophesying shall be getting cast out into the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword, and of there being none to give burial unto them, them, their wives, nor their sons nor their daughters, —So will I pour out upon them their own wickedness.
17 “Ka yi musu wannan magana, “‘Bari idanuna su yi ta zub da hawaye dare da rana kada su daina; saboda’yata budurwa, mutanena, sun sha wahalar babban rauni, an yi musu bugu mai ragargazawa.
Therefore shalt thou say unto them this word, Let mine eyes, run down with tears night and day, And let them not rest, —For with a grievous injury, hath been injured the virgin the daughter of my people, With a wound, severe indeed!
18 In na shiga cikin ƙasar, na ga waɗanda takobi ya kashe; in na shiga cikin birni, na ga waɗanda suke fama da yunwa. Da Annabi da firist duk sun tafi ƙasar da ba su sani ba.’”
If I have gone out into the field, Then lo! the slain of the sword! And, if I have entered the city, Then lo! the diseases of famine! For, both prophet and priest, have trafficked against the land unnoticed.
19 Ka ƙi Yahuda ɗungum ke nan? Kana ƙyamar Sihiyona ne? Me ya sa ka buge mu don kada mu warke? Mun sa zuciya ga salama babu abin alherin da ya zo, mun sa rai ga lokacin warkarwa amma sai ga razana.
Hast thou, utterly rejected, Judah? Zion itself, hath thy soul loathed? Why, hast thou smitten us so that there is for us no healing? A waiting For prosperity, but no welfare, and For a time of healing, but lo! terror!
20 Ya Ubangiji, mun gane da muguntarmu da kuma laifin kakanninmu; tabbatacce mun yi maka zunubi.
We acknowledge O Yahweh Our own lawlessness The iniquity of our fathers, —For we have sinned against thee.
21 Saboda sunanka kada ka ƙi mu; kada ka ƙasƙantar da kursiyoyinka mai ɗaukaka. Ka tuna da alkawarinka da mu kada ka tā da shi.
Do not despise—for the sake of thy Name, Do not treat with contempt—the throne of thy glory, —Remember!—do not break thy covenant with us.
22 Akwai wani daga cikin gumaka marasa amfani na al’ummai da ya kawo ruwan sama? Sararin sama kansu sukan yi yayyafi? A’a, kai ne, ya Ubangiji Allahnmu. Saboda haka sa zuciyarmu tana a kanka, gama kai ne kake yi wannan duka.
Are there, among the vanities of the nations senders of rain? Or can, the heavens themselves, give myriad drops? Art not, thou, he, O Yahweh our God? Therefore will we wait for thee, For, thou, hast made all these.
