< Sòm 121 >

1 Yon Sòm pou monte vè tanp lan Mwen leve zye m vè mòn yo. Se kibò sekou mwen va sòti?
A song of degrees. I will lift mine eyes vnto the mountaines, from whence mine helpe shall come.
2 Sekou m sòti nan SENYÈ a, ki te fè syèl la ak tè a.
Mine helpe commeth from the Lord, which hath made the heauen and the earth.
3 Li p ap kite pye ou chape. (Sila) ki kenbe ou a p ap kabicha, ni dòmi.
He wil not suffer thy foote to slippe: for he that keepeth thee, will not slumber.
4 Gade byen, (Sila) ki kenbe Israël p ap kabicha, ni Li p ap dòmi.
Beholde, he that keepeth Israel, wil neither slumber nor sleepe.
5 SENYÈ a se gadyen ou. SENYÈ a se lonbraj a men dwat ou.
The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shadow at thy right hand.
6 Solèy p ap frape ou lajounen, ni lalin pandan lannwit.
The sunne shall not smite thee by day, nor the moone by night.
7 SENYÈ a va pwoteje ou de tout mal. Li va kenbe nanm ou.
The Lord shall preserue thee from all euil: he shall keepe thy soule.
8 Li va pwoteje ou lè ou sòti ak lè ou antre, depi nan moman sa a e jis rive pou tout tan.
The Lord shall preserue thy going out, and thy comming in from henceforth and for euer.
