1 Louwe SENYÈ a! A la beni nonm ki krent SENYÈ a beni! (Sila) ki pran gwo plezi nan kòmandman Li yo.
Praise Yahweh! (Happy are/He is pleased with) those who revere him, those who happily obey his commands.
2 Desandan li yo va pwisan sou latè. Jenerasyon ladwati a va beni.
Their children will prosper in their land; and their descendants will be blessed [by God].
3 Anpil byen ak gwo richès rete lakay li. Ladwati li dire pou tout tan.
Their families [MTY] will be very wealthy [DOU], and [the results of] their righteous deeds will endure forever.
4 Limyè vin leve nan tenèb pou moun ladwati a; Li plen gras ak mizerikòd, ak jistis.
Godly/Righteous people are [like] lights [SIM] that shine in the darkness on those who are kind, merciful and righteous.
5 L ale byen pou nonm nan ki gen mizerikòd e ki prete; Li va prezève koz li a nan jijman an.
Things [will] go well for those who generously lend money to others and who conduct their businesses honestly.
6 Paske li p ap janm ebranle. Moun dwat la va sonje jis pou tout tan.
Righteous people will not be overwhelmed/worried/distressed [because of their troubles], and they will never be forgotten [by other people].
7 Li p ap krent move nouvèl. Kè Li fèm ak konfyans nan SENYÈ a.
They are not afraid of [receiving] bad news; they confidently/completely trust in Yahweh.
8 Kè li kanpe janm. Li pa pè anyen, jiskaske denyè moman an lè li gade ak kè kontan advèsè li yo.
They are confident and not afraid, because they know that they will see [God defeat] their enemies.
9 Li te bay ak jenewozite a pòv yo. Ladwati li dire jis pou tout tan. Kòn li va egzalte nan lonè.
They give things generously to poor/needy [people]; [the results of] their kind deeds will endure forever, and they [will] be exalted and honored.
10 Mechan an va wè l e l ap vekse nèt. Li va manje dan l e vin fonn pou l disparèt. Dezi a mechan an va peri.
Wicked people see those things and are angry; they gnash their teeth [angrily], but they [will] disappear [and die]. The [wicked] things that they want to do [will] never happen.
