2 કાળવ્રત્તાંત 30
1 ૧ હિઝકિયાએ આખા ઇઝરાયલ અને યહૂદિયાને સંદેશો મોકલ્યો અને એફ્રાઇમ અને મનાશ્શાના લોકોને પત્રો લખ્યા. “તેઓએ ઇઝરાયલના ઈશ્વરનું પાસ્ખાપર્વ પાળવા માટે યરુશાલેમમાં ઈશ્વરના ઘરમાં આવવું.”
And Ezechie sente to al Israel and to Juda, and he wroot pistlis to Effraym and to Manasses, that thei schulden come in to the hous of the Lord in Jerusalem, and make paske to the Lord God of Israel.
2 ૨ કેમ કે રાજાએ, તેના અધિકારીઓએ અને યરુશાલેમમાં આખી સભાએ ભેગા થઈને નિર્ણય કર્યો હતો કે વર્ષના બીજા મહિનામાં પાસ્ખાપર્વ ઊજવવું.
Therfor whanne counseil was takun of the kyng, and of princes, and of al the cumpeny of Jerusalem, thei demyden to make paske in the secounde moneth.
3 ૩ તે સમયે તેઓ તે ઊજવી શક્યા નહોતા કેમ કે પૂરતી સંખ્યામાં યાજકો પવિત્ર થયા ન હતા અને યરુશાલેમમાં સર્વ લોકો એકત્ર થયા નહોતા.
For thei demyden not to do in his tyme; for the preestis that myyten suffice weren not halewid, and the puple was not yit gaderid in to Jerusalem.
And the word pleside the king, and al the multitude.
5 ૫ તેથી એવું નક્કી કરવામાં આવ્યું કે દાનથી તે બેરશેબા સુધી સમગ્ર ઇઝરાયલમાં એવી જાહેરાત કરવી કે, બધા લોકોએ ઇઝરાયલના ઈશ્વરનું પાસ્ખાપર્વ પાળવા માટે યરુશાલેમ આવવું, કેમ કે નિયમશાસ્ત્રમાં લખેલી રીત મુજબ તેઓએ લાંબા સમય સુધી પાળ્યું નહોતું.
And thei demyden to sende messangeris in to al Israel, fro Bersabee `til to Dan, that thei schulden come, and make pask to the Lord God of Israel in Jerusalem; for many men hadden not do, as it is bifor writun in the lawe.
6 ૬ તેથી રાજાના હુકમથી રાજાના અને તેના આગેવાનોના પત્રો લઈને સંદેશાવાહકો સમગ્ર ઇઝરાયલમાં અને યહૂદિયામાં ગયા. તેઓએ કહ્યું, “ઇઝરાયલના લોકો, તમે ઇબ્રાહિમ, ઇસહાક અને ઇઝરાયલના ઈશ્વર તરફ પાછા ફરો, જેથી આશ્શૂરના રાજાઓના હાથમાંથી તમારામાંના જે બચી ગયા છે, તેઓના પર ઈશ્વર કૃપાદ્રષ્ટિ કરે.
And corouris yeden forth with pistlis, bi comaundement of the kyng and of hise princis, in to al Israel and Juda, and prechiden bi that, that the kyng hadde comaundid, Sones of Israel, turne ye ayen to the Lord God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Israel; and he schal turne ayen to the residue men, that ascapiden the hondis of the kyng of Assiriens.
7 ૭ તમે તમારા પિતૃઓ કે ભાઈઓ જેવા થશો નહિ; તેઓએ તો પોતાના પિતૃઓના ઈશ્વરની વિરુદ્ધ પાપ કર્યાં હતાં. તેથી ઈશ્વરે તેઓનો નાશ કર્યો, તે તમે જોયું છે.
Nyle ye be maad as youre fadris and britheren, that yeden awei fro the Lord God of her fadris; and he yaue hem in to perischyng, as ye seen.
8 ૮ હવે તમે તમારા પિતૃઓના જેવા હઠીલા થશો નહિ. ઈશ્વરને આધીન થાઓ. સદાને માટે જેને તેમણે પવિત્ર કર્યું છે તે પવિત્રસ્થાનમાં આવો, તમારા ઈશ્વરની આરાધના કરો, કે જેથી તેનો રોષ તમારા પરથી દૂર થઈ જાય.
Nyle ye make hard youre nollis, as youre fadris diden; yyue ye hondis to the Lord, and come ye to his seyntuarie, which he halewide withouten ende; serue ye the Lord God of youre fadris, and the ire of his strong veniaunce schal `be turned awey fro you.
9 ૯ જો તમે ખરા અંત: કરણથી ઈશ્વર તરફ પાછા વળશો તો તમારા ભાઈઓ અને તમારા પુત્રો તેમને પકડીને લઈ જનારાની નજરમાં કૃપા પામશે. તેઓ પાછા આ દેશમાં આવી શકશે, કારણ, તમારો ઈશ્વર કૃપાળુ અને દયાળુ છે. તમે જો તેના તરફ પાછા ફરશો તો તેઓ તમારાથી કદી મુખ નહિ ફેરવે.”
For if ye turnen ayen to the Lord, youre britheren and youre sones schulen haue mercy, bifor her lordis that ledden hem prisoneris; and thei schulen turne ayen in to this lond. For `oure Lord God is pitouse, `ethir benygne, and merciful; and he schal not turne awey his face fro you, if ye turne ayen to hym.
10 ૧૦ સંદેશાવાહકો એફ્રાઇમ અને મનાશ્શા તેમ જ છેક ઝબુલોન સુધી નગરેનગર ફરી વળ્યા, પણ લોકોએ તેઓની હાંસી ઉડાવી તેમ જ તેઓને હસી કાઢ્યાં.
Therfor the corours yeden swiftli fro cytee in to citee thorou the lond of Effraym and of Manasses `til to Zabulon, while thei scorniden and bimowiden hem.
Netheles sum men of Aser, and of Manasses, and of Zabulon, assentiden to the counsel, and camen in to Jerusalem.
12 ૧૨ ઈશ્વરના વચન દ્વારા રાજાની તથા આગેવાનોની આજ્ઞા પ્રમાણે કરવાને ઈશ્વરે યહૂદિયાના લોકોને એક હૃદયના કર્યા હતા.
Forsothe the hond of the Lord was maad in Juda, that he yaf to hem oon herte, and that thei diden the word of the Lord, bi the comaundement of the kyng and of the princes.
And many puplis weren gaderid in to Jerusalem, for to make the solempnyte of therf looues in the secounde monethe.
14 ૧૪ તેઓએ યરુશાલેમમાં આવેલી અન્ય દેવોની વેદીઓનો નાશ કર્યો, સર્વ ધૂપવેદીઓ તોડી નાખી અને તેઓને કિદ્રોન નાળાંમાં નાખી દીધી.
And thei risiden, and destrieden the auteris, that weren in Jerusalem; and `thei destriynge alle thingis in whiche encense was brent to idols, castiden forth in to the stronde of Cedron.
15 ૧૫ પછી તેઓએ બીજા મહિનાના ચૌદમા દિવસે પાસ્ખાનું હલવાન કાપ્યું. યાજકો અને લેવીઓ શરમિંદા થઈ ગયા અને તેઓએ પોતાને પવિત્ર કરીને ઈશ્વરના ઘરમાં દહનીયાર્પણો કર્યા.
Forsothe thei offriden pask in the fourtenthe dai of the secounde monethe; also the preestis and the dekenes weren halewid at the laste, and offriden brent sacrifices in the hows of the Lord.
16 ૧૬ તેઓ ઈશ્વરભક્ત મૂસાના નિયમ મુજબ પોતાના દરજ્જા પ્રમાણે પોતપોતાની જગ્યાએ ઊભા રહ્યા; યાજકોએ લેવીઓ પાસેથી લોહી લઈને વેદી પર છાંટ્યું.
And thei stoden in her ordre, bi the ordynaunce and lawe of Moises, the man of God. Sothely the preestis token of the hondis of dekenes the blood to be sched out,
17 ૧૭ જે લોકો ભેગા થયા હતા તેઓમાંના ઘણાએ પોતાને શુદ્ધ કર્યા નહોતા, એટલે એ લોકો રિવાજ પ્રમાણે પાસ્ખાના હલવાન ચઢાવી શકે તેમ નહોતા. તેથી તેઓના વતી ઈશ્વર માટે હલવાનો પવિત્ર કરીને, પાસ્ખા કાપવાનું કામ લેવીઓને સોંપવામાં આવ્યું.
for myche cumpeny was not halewid; and therfor the dekenes offriden pask for hem, that myyten not be halewid to the Lord.
18 ૧૮ કેમ કે એફ્રાઇમ, મનાશ્શા, ઇસ્સાખાર અને ઝબુલોનના ઘણાં લોકો શુદ્ધ થયા નહોતા, છતાં તેમણે વિધિપૂર્વક નિયમો પાળ્યા વગર જ પાસ્ખાનું ભોજન લીધું હતું. પણ હિઝકિયાએ તેઓને માટે પ્રાર્થના કરી કે, “દરેકને ઈશ્વર માફ કરો;
Also a greet part of the puple of Effraym, and Manasses, and of Ysachar, and of Zabulon, that was not halewid, eet pask not bi that that is writun. And Ezechie preyde for hem, and seide, The good Lord schal do mercy to alle men,
19 ૧૯ કે જેઓએ પોતાના પિતૃઓના ઈશ્વરની શોધ ખરા અંત: કરણથી કરી છે - પછી ભલે તેઓ પવિત્રસ્થાનના શુદ્ધિકરણના નિયમ પ્રમાણે પવિત્ર ના થયા હોય.”
that seken in al the herte the Lord God of her fadris; and it schal not be arettid to hem, that thei ben not halewid.
And the Lord herde hym, and was plesid to the puple.
21 ૨૧ આ રીતે ઇઝરાયલના લોકો જેઓ યરુશાલેમમાં હતા તેઓએ સાત દિવસ સુધી બહુ આનંદ સાથે બેખમીરી રોટલીના પર્વની ઊજવણી કરી. તે દરમિયાન લેવીઓ અને યાજકો દરરોજ ગીતો અને વાજિંત્રો સાથે ઈશ્વરની સ્તુતિ કરતા હતા.
And the sones of Israel, that weren founden in Jerusalem, maden solempnyte of therf looues seuene daies in greet gladnesse, and herieden the Lord bi ech dai; and dekenes and preestis `preisiden the Lord bi orguns, that acordiden to her offices.
22 ૨૨ ઈશ્વરની સેવામાં ઊભા રહેનારા તમામ લેવીઓને હિઝકિયા રાજાએ ઘણું ઉત્તેજન આપ્યું. આમ તેઓએ સાત દિવસ સુધી તહેવારમાં શાંત્યર્પણો કરીને ઈશ્વર આગળ પસ્તાવો કરીને લોકોએ તેઓના પિતૃઓના ઈશ્વરની સ્તુતિ કરી.
And Ezechie spak to the herte of alle the dekenes, that hadden good vndurstondyng of the Lord; and thei eeten bi seuene daies of the solempnyte, offrynge sacrifices of pesible thingis, and heriynge the Lord God of her fadris.
23 ૨૩ આખી સભાએ બીજા સાત દિવસ સુધી ઉત્સવ ઊજવવાનો નિર્ણય કર્યો. અને તેમણે બીજા સાત દિવસ સુધી આનંદોત્સવ કર્યો.
And it pleside al the multitude to halewe also othere seuene daies; which thing also thei diden with greet ioye.
24 ૨૪ કારણ કે, યહૂદાના રાજા હિઝકિયાએ પ્રજાને એક હજાર બળદો અને સાત હજાર ઘેટાં અર્પણ માટે આપ્યાં હતાં અને તેના અધિકારીઓએ તે ઉપરાંત બીજા એક હજાર બળદો અને દસ હજાર ઘેટાં આપ્યાં હતા. મોટી સંખ્યામાં યાજકોએ પોતાને પવિત્ર કર્યા હતા.
Forsothe Ezechie, kyng of Juda, yaf to the multitude a thousynde bolis, and seuene thousynde of scheep; sotheli the princes yauen to the puple a thousynde bolis, and ten thousynde scheep. Therfor ful greet multitude of preestis was halewid;
25 ૨૫ યાજકો અને લેવીઓ સહિત યહૂદિયાની આખી સભાએ તેમ જ ઇઝરાયલથી આવેલા સમગ્ર લોકોની સભાએ તથા જે વિદેશીઓ ઇઝરાયલથી આવ્યા હતા તેમ જ જેઓ યહૂદામાં વસતાં હતા એ બધાએ આનંદોત્સવ કર્યો.
and al the cumpany of Juda was fillid with gladnesse, as wel of preestis and dekenes, as of al the multitude, that camen fro Israel, and `of conuersis of the lond of Israel, and of dwelleris in Juda.
26 ૨૬ યરુશાલેમમાં ઘણો મોટો આનંદ ઉત્સવ ઊજવાયો; ઇઝરાયલના રાજા દાઉદના પુત્ર સુલેમાનના સમય પછી યરુશાલેમમાં આવો ઉત્સવ કદી ઊજવાયો નહોતો.
And greet solempnytee was maad in Jerusalem, which maner solempnyte was not in that citee fro the daies of Salomon, sone of Dauid, kyng of Israel.
27 ૨૭ ત્યાર બાદ યાજકો અને લેવીઓએ ઊભા થઈને આશીર્વાદ આપ્યાં. તેઓનો અવાજ અને તેઓની પ્રાર્થના ઈશ્વરના પવિત્ર નિવાસમાં-સ્વર્ગમાં સાંભળવામાં આવી.
Sotheli preestis and dekenes rysyden, and blessiden the puple; and the vois of hem was herd, and the preier cam in to the hooli dwelling place of heuene.
