1 Και ελάλησε Κύριος προς τον Μωϋσήν και προς τον Ααρών λέγων προς αυτούς,
And Yahweh spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying unto them:
2 Λαλήσατε προς τους υιούς Ισραήλ, λέγοντες, ταύτα είναι τα ζώα τα οποία θέλετε τρώγει εκ πάντων των κτηνών των επί της γης.
Speak ye unto the sons of Israel saying, —These are the living things which ye may eat, of all the beasts which are upon the earth:
3 Παν δίχηλον μεταξύ των κτηνών έχον τον πόδα εσχισμένον και αναμασσών, τούτο θέλετε τρώγει.
Whatsoever parteth the hoof and is cloven-footed, and cheweth the cud among beasts, that, may ye eat.
4 Ταύτα όμως δεν θέλετε τρώγει εκ των όσα αναμασσώσιν ή εκ των όσα είναι δίχηλα· την κάμηλον, διότι αναμασσά μεν, πλην δεν είναι δίχηλος· είναι ακάθαρτος εις εσάς·
Nevertheless, these, shall ye not eat, of them that chew the cud, and of them that part the hoof, —the camel, because though he, cheweth the cud, yet, the hoof, he parteth not, unclean, he is to you;
5 και τον δασύποδα, διότι αναμασσά μεν, πλην δεν είναι δίχηλος· είναι ακάθαρτος εις εσάς·
And, the coney, because, though he cheweth the cud, yet, the hoof, he parteth not, —unclean, he is to you;
6 και τον λαγωόν, διότι αναμασσά μεν, πλην δεν είναι δίχηλος· είναι ακάθαρτος εις εσάς·
And the hare, because though she cheweth the cud, yet the hoof, she parteth not, —unclean, she is to you;
7 και τον χοίρον, διότι είναι μεν δίχηλος και έχει τον πόδα εσχισμένον, πλην δεν αναμασσά· είναι ακάθαρτος εις εσάς·
And, the swine, because though he parteth the hoof, and is cloven-footed, yet, the cud, he cheweth not, —unclean, he is to you;
8 από του κρέατος αυτών δεν θέλετε τρώγει και το θνησιμαίον αυτών δεν θέλετε εγγίζει είναι ακάθαρτα εις εσάς.
Of their flesh, shall ye not eat, and, their carcase, shall ye not touch, —unclean, they are to you.
9 Ταύτα θέλετε τρώγει εκ πάντων των εν τοις ύδασι πάντα όσα έχουσι πτερά και λέπη, εν τοις ύδασι, εν ταις θαλάσσαις και εν τοις ποταμοίς, ταύτα θέλετε τρώγει.
these, may ye eat, of all that are in the waters, —all that have fins and scales in the waters, in the seas and in the rivers, them, may ye eat.
10 Και πάντα όσα δεν έχουσι πτερά και λέπη, εν ταις θαλάσσαις και εν τοις ποταμοίς, από πάντων όσα κινούνται εν τοις ύδασι και από παντός εμψύχου ζώου το οποίον είναι εν τοις ύδασι, θέλουσιν είσθαι βδελυκτά εις εσάς·
But, all that have not fins and scales, in the seas and in the rivers, of all that swarm in the waters, and of all the living souls that are in the waters, an abomination, they are unto you;
11 ταύτα εξάπαντος θέλουσιν είσθαι βδελυκτά εις εσάς· από του κρέατος αυτών δεν θέλετε τρώγει και το θνησιμαίον αυτών θέλετε βδελύττεσθαι.
and an abomination, shall they remain to you, —of their flesh, ye shall not eat, and their carcases, shall ye abhor.
12 Πάντα όσα εν τοις ύδασι δεν έχουσι πτερά ούτε λέπη, θέλουσιν είσθαι βδελυκτά εις εσάς.
Whatsoever hath not fins and scales in the waters, an abomination, it is unto you.
13 Ταύτα δε θέλετε βδελύττεσθαι μεταξύ των πτηνών· δεν θέλουσι τρώγεσθαι είναι βδελυκτά· ο αετός, και ο γρυπαετός, και ο μελαναετός,
And, these, shall ye abhor of birds, they shall not be eaten, an abomination, they are, —the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the osprey;
14 και ο γυψ, και ο ίκτινος κατά το είδος αυτού·
and the vulture, and the falcon, after its kind;
15 πας κόραξ κατά το είδος αυτού·
every raven, after its kind;
16 και η στρουθοκάμηλος, και η γλαύξ, και ο ίβις, και ο ιέραξ κατά το είδος αυτού,
and the female ostrich, and the male ostrich, and the sea-gull, —and the hawk after its kind;
17 και ο νυκτικόραξ, και η αίθυια, και η μεγάλη γλαύξ,
and the pelican and the gannet, and the bittern;
18 και ο κύκνος, και ο πελεκάν, και η κίσσα,
and the swan and the vomiting pelican and the little vulture;
19 και ο πελαργός, και ο ερωδιός κατά το είδος αυτού, και ο έποψ, και η νυκτερίς.
and the stork, and the parrot, after its kind, —and the mountain-cock and the bat.
20 Πάντα τα πετώμενα ερπετά, τα οποία περιπατούσιν επί τέσσαρας πόδας, θέλουσιν είσθαι βδελυκτά εις εσάς.
Every creeping thing that flieth, that goeth on all-fours, an abomination, it is unto you.
21 Ταύτα όμως δύνασθε να τρώγητε από παντός πετωμένου ερπετού, περιπατούντος επί τέσσαρας πόδας, τα οποία έχουσι σκέλη όπισθεν των ποδών αυτών, διά να πηδώσι δι' αυτών επί της γής·
Nevertheless, these, may ye eat, of all creeping things that fly, that go on all-fours, —such as have legs above their feet, to leap therewith, upon the earth—
22 ταύτα θέλετε τρώγει εξ αυτών· τον βρούχον κατά το είδος αυτού και τον αττάκην κατά το είδος αυτού και τον οφιομάχον κατά το είδος αυτού και την ακρίδα κατά το είδος αυτής.
these of them, may ye eat: the swarming-locust after its kind, and the devouring locust after its kind, —and the chargol-locust after its kind, and the chagab-locust after its kind.
23 Πάντα δε τα πετώμενα ερπετά, έχοντα τέσσαρας πόδας, θέλουσιν είσθαι βδελυκτά εις εσάς.
But every [other] creeping thing that flieth, which hath four feet, an abomination, it is unto you;
24 Και εις ταύτα θέλετε είσθαι ακάθαρτοι· πας ο εγγίζων το θνησιμαίον αυτών θέλει είσθαι ακάθαρτος έως εσπέρας.
and, for these, shall ye count yourselves unclean—whosoever toucheth the carcase of them shall be unclean until the evening;
25 Και πας όστις βαστάση από του θνησιμαίον αυτών, θέλει πλύνει τα ιμάτια αυτού και θέλει είσθαι ακάθαρτος έως εσπέρας.
and whosoever beareth away aught of the carcase of them, shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening.
26 Εκ πάντων των κτηνών, όσα είναι δίχηλα, πλην δεν είναι ο πους αυτών εσχισμένος ουδέ αναμασσώσι, θέλουσιν είσθαι ακάθαρτα εις εσάς· πας ο εγγίζων αυτά θέλει είσθαι ακάθαρτος.
As for every kind of beast which, though it parteth the hoof, yet is not cloven-footed nor cheweth the cud, unclean, they are unto you, —every one who toucheth them shall be unclean.
27 Και όσα περιπατούσιν επί τας παλάμας αυτών, μεταξύ πάντων των ζώων των περιπατούντων επί τέσσαρας πόδας, θέλουσιν είσθαι ακάθαρτα εις εσάς· πας ο εγγίζων το θνησιμαίον αυτών θέλει είσθαι ακάθαρτος έως εσπέρας.
And, all that go upon their paws, among all the living things that go on all-fours, unclean, they are unto you, —whoso toucheth the carcase of them, shall be unclean until the evening.
28 Και όστις βαστάση το θνησιμαίον αυτών, θέλει πλύνει τα ιμάτια αυτού και θέλει είσθαι ακάθαρτος έως εσπέρας· ταύτα θέλουσιν είσθαι ακάθαρτα εις εσάς.
And, he that beareth away the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and shall be unclean until the evening, —unclean, they are unto you.
29 Και ταύτα θέλουσιν είσθαι ακάθαρτα εις εσάς μεταξύ των ερπετών των ερπόντων επί της γής· η γαλή και ο ποντικός, και η χελώνη κατά το είδος αυτής·
And, these, unto you, shall be unclean, among the creeping things that creep upon the earth, —the weasel and the mouse, and the lizard after its kind;
30 και ο ακανθόχοιρος, και ο χαμαιλέων, και η σαύρα, και ο σαμιάμιθος, και ο ασπάλαξ.
and the ferret and the chameleon and the wall-lizard, —and the winding lizard, and the mole.
31 Ταύτα είναι ακάθαρτα εις εσάς μεταξύ πάντων των ερπετών· πας ο εγγίζων αυτά τεθνεώτα, θέλει είσθαι ακάθαρτος έως εσπέρας.
These, are they which are unclean to you among all that creep, —whosoever toucheth them when they are dead shall be unclean until the evening;
32 Και παν πράγμα επί του οποίου ήθελε πέσει τι εκ τούτων τεθνεώτων θέλει είσθαι ακάθαρτον· παν αγγείον ξύλινον ή ιμάτιον ή δέρμα ή σάκκος ή οποιονδήποτε αγγείον, εις το οποίον γίνεται εργασία, θέλει εμβληθή εις ύδωρ και θέλει είσθαι ακάθαρτον έως εσπέρας· τότε θέλει είσθαι καθαρόν·
and, everything whereon any of them shall fall when they are dead shall be unclean—of any articles of wood, or cloth, or skin, or sackcloth, any article wherewith any work is done, —shall be put in water and shall be unclean until the evening, and then be clean,
33 και παν αγγείον πήλινον, εις το οποίον εμπέση τι εκ τούτων, παν ό, τι είναι εντός αυτού θέλει είσθαι ακάθαρτον· αυτό δε θέλετε συντρίψει·
And, as for any earthen vessel whereinto any of them may fall, everything therein shall be unclean, and, the vessel itself, shall ye break in pieces.
34 από παντός φαγητού εσθιωμένου, εις το οποίον εμβαίνει ύδωρ, θέλει είσθαι ακάθαρτον· και παν ποτόν πινόμενον εν οποιωδήποτε αγγείω, θέλει είσθαι ακάθαρτον.
Of all the food that may be eaten, that whereon shall come water, shall be unclean, —and, all drink which might be drunk in any [such] vessel, shall be unclean.
35 Και παν πράγμα επί το οποίον πέση από του θνησιμαίου αυτών, θέλει είσθαι ακάθαρτον· κλίβανος είτε εστία θέλουσι κρημνισθή· είναι ακάθαρτα και ακάθαρτα θέλουσιν είσθαι εις εσάς.
And, everything whereon shall fall any part of the carcase of them shall be unclean, oven or fire-range, it shall be destroyed, unclean, they are, —and, unclean, Shall they remain to you.
36 Πηγή όμως ή λάκκος, σύναξις υδάτων, θέλει είσθαι καθαρόν· πλην ό, τι εγγίση το θνησιμαίον αυτών, θέλει είσθαι ακάθαρτον.
Notwithstanding, a fountain or cistern wherein is a gathering of waters shall be clean, —but, he that toucheth the carcase of them shall be unclean.
37 Και εάν πέση από του θνησιμαίου αυτών επί τι σπέρμα σπόριμον, το οποίον μέλλει να σπαρθή, καθαρόν θέλει είσθαι.
And when any part of the carcase of them shall fall upon seed for sowing, which is to be sown, the same is, clean.
38 Εάν δε επιχυθή ύδωρ επί του σπέρματος και πέση από του θνησιμαίου αυτών επ' αυτό, ακάθαρτον θέλει είσθαι εις εσάς.
But, when water shall be put upon seed, and there shall fall thereon any part of the carcase of them, unclean, it is to you.
39 Και εάν αποθάνη τι εκ των κτηνών τα οποία δύνασθε να τρώγητε, όστις εγγίση το θνησιμαίον αυτού, θέλει είσθαι ακάθαρτος έως εσπέρας.
And, when any of the beasts which are yours for food shall die, he that toucheth the carcase of it shall be unclean until the evening.
40 Και όστις φάγη από του θνησιμαίου αυτού, θέλει πλύνει τα ιμάτια αυτού και θέλει είσθαι ακάθαρτος έως εσπέρας· και όστις βαστάση το θνησιμαίον αυτού, θέλει πλύνει τα ιμάτια αυτού και θέλει είσθαι ακάθαρτος έως εσπέρας.
And, he that eateth of the carcase of it, shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening, —he also that carrieth away the carcase thereof shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.
41 Και παν ερπετόν, έρπον επί της γης, θέλει είσθαι βδέλυγμα· δεν θέλει τρώγεσθαι.
And, any creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, an abomination, it is—it shall not be eaten.
42 Παν ό, τι περιπατεί επί της κοιλίας και παν ό, τι περιπατεί επί τέσσαρας πόδας ή παν το έχον πολλούς πόδας, μεταξύ πάντων των ερπετών των ερπόντων επί της γης, ταύτα δεν θέλετε τρώγει, διότι είναι βδέλυγμα.
Everything that goeth upon the belly, and everything that goeth upon all-fours, even to everything having many feet, as regardeth any creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, ye shall not eat them for, an abomination, they are.
43 Δεν θέλετε κάμει βδελυκτάς τας ψυχάς σας δι' ουδενός ερπετού έρποντος ουδέ θέλετε μιανθή δι' αυτών, ώστε να γείνητε ακάθαρτοι δι' αυτών.
Do not make your persons abominable, with any creeping thing that creepeth, —neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should become unclean thereby.
44 Διότι εγώ είμαι Κύριος ο Θεός σας· θέλετε λοιπόν αγιασθή και θέλετε είσθαι άγιοι, διότι άγιος είμαι εγώ· και δεν θέλετε μιάνει τας ψυχάς σας δι' ουδενός ερπετού έρποντος επί της γης.
For, I—Yahweh, am your God, therefore shall ye hallow yourselves and remain holy; for, holy, am, I,—therefore shall ye not make your persons unclean, with any creeping thing that crawleth upon the earth;
45 Διότι εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος, όστις σας ανεβίβασα εκ γης Αιγύπτου, διά να ήμαι Θεός σας· θέλετε λοιπόν είσθαι άγιοι, διότι άγιος είμαι εγώ.
for, I—Yahweh, am he that brought you up out of the land of Egypt, that I might become your God, —therefore shall ye be holy, for, holy, am, I.
46 Ούτος είναι ο νόμος περί των κτηνών και περί των πτηνών και περί παντός εμψύχου όντος κινουμένου εν τοις ύδασι και περί παντός όντος έρποντος επί της γής·
This, is the law of beast and of bird, and of every living soul that moveth in the waters, —and as to every soul that creepeth upon the earth:
47 διά να διακρίνητε μεταξύ του ακαθάρτου και του καθαρού και μεταξύ των ζώων τα οποία τρώγονται των ζώων και οποία δεν τρώγονται.
That ye may make a difference—between the unclean and the clean, —and between the living thing that may be eaten, and the living thing which may not be eaten.
