1 Korantien 10
1 N buakaaba, bandi mani ke o twalgbangu n bo legni ti yanjanba po ki bi fidi ki puodi o kpencianmu.
And I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea,
2 Moyis n bo wuli'b li mɔglni yeni li ŋunlni.
and all to Moses were baptized in the cloud, and in the sea;
3 K bi jeni ke gɔ ñuni bi jaandikaaba jiema.
and all the same spiritual food did eat,
4 Kelima bi ñuni li tangbaogun ñuma, ke li tangbaogu n den tie bi jesu.
and all the same spiritual drink did drink, for they were drinking of a spiritual rock following them, and the rock was the Christ;
5 Ama u tienu pali den ki mangi tɔba po, ke bi kpe ki bili i tinkuongan,
but in the most of them God was not well pleased, for they were strewn in the wilderness,
6 Mɔla, li bona tie binbigu ti pok lan fidi ke tin da pia ti gbannandi buama nani bani yeni.
and those things became types of us, for our not passionately desiring evil things, as also these did desire.
7 Da tiendi mani nan yabi ki jaandi yeni, i diani po li maadi ki bi niba, di, ki ñu, ki jelni yeni ti gbannandi buama.
Neither become ye idolaters, as certain of them, as it hath been written, 'The people sat down to eat and to drink, and stood up to play;'
8 Ki tiendi mi conconma boncianli, yeni ki nib trubaam kpenl li po.
neither may we commit whoredom, as certain of them did commit whoredom, and there fell in one day twenty-three thousand;
9 Da bigindi mani jesu, li po i ki wee den juni ki kpa boncianla.
neither may we tempt the Christ, as also certain of them did tempt, and by the serpents did perish;
10 Da sɔnmni mani ki bulnbulni nani mi kuuma maleki n kpa yabi yeni.
neither murmur ye, as also some of them did murmur, and did perish by the destroyer.
11 Li bona ba ki bua waani'ti binbigu, ke gɔa diani ki bili yua ba mali ŋanduna juog yogu. (aiōn g165)
And all these things as types did happen to those persons, and they were written for our admonition, to whom the end of the ages did come, (aiōn g165)
12 Li ya po, yua mali ko ŋani ki gbeni n ya cegi ki ji da ba,
so that he who is thinking to stand — let him observe, lest he fall.
13 Biginli kan ji cua'i ke li ya ki tie bi niba bigina ka, ama ti yonbidaano se ki li paa, o kan ŋaa ke lan cie i paalu, o ba luodi ya ganli ki ba sedi ki guudi.
No temptation hath taken you — except human; and God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able, but He will make, with the temptation, also the outlet, for your being able to bear [it].
14 Li ya po, n buakaaba, sani mani ya bontitiedi n paadi'ti yeni u tienu.
Wherefore, my beloved, flee from the idolatry;
15 N maadi nani bi nimɔnba yeni, yeni, yi ba fidi ki mali m maama ne po.
as to wise men I speak — judge ye what I say:
16 Ya dama ke ti yi yadi mi yediŋanma yeni ki tie jesu sɔm ka aa? ya kpanu ke ti yi bogidi yeni, k tie jesu gbannandi ka aa?
The cup of the blessing that we bless — is it not the fellowship of the blood of the Christ? the bread that we break — is it not the fellowship of the body of the Christ?
17 Kelima kpanu yenga n ye, ke tinba kuli n taani ki tie li kpanu.
because one bread, one body, are we the many — for we all of the one bread do partake.
18 Diidi mani Isahel buolu, bani ka dini li jaandbinbindli po jiema aa?
See Israel according to the flesh! are not those eating the sacrifices in the fellowship of the altar?
19 N ba tienb ledi? padili ki tie pu? ki buali jiema tie padijiema.
what then do I say? that an idol is anything? or that a sacrifice offered to an idol is anything? —
20 Ama n maadi, bi paditieba pada tie sitaan yaali, u tienu yaali ka, n bo ki bua'i yeni sitaan.
[no, ] but that the things that the nations sacrifice — they sacrifice to demons and not to God; and I do not wish you to come into the fellowship of the demons.
21 I kan fidi ki di yeni u tienu ke bia di yeni sitaani, i kan fidi ki ya bua canbanba bonblie,
Ye are not able the cup of the Lord to drink, and the cup of demons; ye are not able of the table of the Lord to partake, and of the table of demons;
22 Bii t bua bigini u tienu uu? ti pala pa ki pundi lani kani ii?
do we arouse the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than He?
23 Li kuli cabi ama li kuli ki pia ñuadi, “li kuli cabi ama li kuli ki ŋani”
All things to me are lawful, but all things are not profitable; all things to me are lawful, but all things do not build up;
24 Oba n da kpaani o yuli po ñuadi, ama ya ñuadi n tie o liebi yaali.
let no one seek his own — but each another's.
25 I ba fidi ki je jiekuadikaali kuli, ke da tiendi buali.
Whatever in the meat-market is sold eat ye, not inquiring, because of the conscience,
26 Kelima ŋanduna tie u tienu yaali, yaali n ye kuli mɔ tie o yaali.
for the Lord's [is] the earth, and its fulness;
27 Yua ki bani u tienu ya yin'a, k a tuo ki jeni, ŋan da buali buali.
and if any one of the unbelieving do call you, and ye wish to go, all that is set before you eat, nothing inquiring, because of the conscience;
28 Ama, nil ya maadi,” ne tie padijiema” da di mani ki dugini ban waani ki bani niiman nni yeni ya po.
and if any one may say to you, 'This is a thing sacrificed to an idol,' — do not eat, because of that one who shewed [it], and of the conscience, for the Lord's [is] the earth and its fulness:
29 N ke maadi i yanjagli ka, ama i lielo yanjagli po. Be tieni o tiani ya po n cedi m la li mabili?
and conscience, I say, not of thyself, but of the other, for why [is it] that my liberty is judged by another's conscience?
30 Li ya sua k n jaandi ki di, be ba cua yeni li mabili n po i?
and if I thankfully do partake, why am I evil spoken of, for that for which I give thanks?
31 Mɔla po, yin di bii yin ñu yooo, ya tiendi mani li kuli ki kpiagidi u tienu yeli.
Whether, then, ye eat, or drink, or do anything, do all to the glory of God;
32 Da biidi mani jufnba, greknba bii u tienu jaandidieli.
become offenceless, both to Jews and Greeks, and to the assembly of God;
33 Nani min bua ke min mangi yua kuli pali bonli kulin, ke k kpaani n yuli po ñuadi ka ama boncianli yali ke min fidi ki faabiba.
as I also in all things do please all, not seeking my own profit, but that of many — that they may be saved.
