< Ahibirania 7 >
1 Atĩrĩrĩ, Melikisedeki ũcio aarĩ mũthamaki wa Salemu na mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai, o Ngai-Ũrĩa-ũrĩ-Igũrũ-Mũno. Nĩwe watũngire Iburahĩmu akĩinũka aarĩkia kũhoota athamaki, na akĩmũrathima,
This for Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, (who *N(k)O*) having met with Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and having blessed him,
2 nake Iburahĩmu akĩmũhe gĩcunjĩ gĩa ikũmi kĩa indo ciothe. Rĩĩtwa rĩake rĩgĩtaũrwo mbere nĩ kuuga “mũthamaki wa ũthingu”; ningĩ “mũthamaki wa Salemu” nĩ kuuga “mũthamaki wa thayũ”.
to whom also a tenth of all apportioned Abraham, first indeed being translated king of righteousness then however also king of Salem, which is king of peace,
Without father, without mother, without genealogy, neither beginning of days nor of life end having, made like however as the Son of God he remains a priest unto all time.
4 Ta mwĩciirie ũrĩa aarĩ mũnene: Atĩ o na ithe witũ Iburahĩmu nĩamũgaĩire gĩcunjĩ gĩa ikũmi kĩa indo iria aatahĩte!
do consider now how great this one [was], to whom even a tenth Abraham gave out of the best spoils the patriarch.
5 Na rĩrĩ, watho uugĩte atĩ andũ a rũciaro rwa Lawi arĩa matuĩkaga athĩnjĩri-Ngai metagie gĩcunjĩ gĩa ikũmi kuuma kũrĩ andũ, ũguo nĩ kuuga ariũ a ithe wao, o na gwatuĩka ariũ a ithe wao nĩ a rũciaro rwa Iburahĩmu.
And those indeed out from the sons of Levi the priestly office receiving a commandment have to take a tenth from the people according to the law, That is from the brothers of them, though having come out of the loin of Abraham.
6 No mũndũ ũcio ndaarĩ wa rũciaro rwa Lawi, no nĩamũkĩrire gĩcunjĩ gĩa ikũmi kuuma kũrĩ Iburahĩmu, na akĩrathima ũcio werĩirwo ciĩranĩro.
The [one] however not tracing his ancestry from them he has collected a tenth (*k*) from Abraham; and the [one who] is having the promises He has blessed.
7 Na hatirĩ nganja atĩ mũndũ ũrĩa mũnini nĩwe ũrathimagwo nĩ ũrĩa mũnene.
Apart from now all dispute; the inferior by the superior is blessed.
8 Tũgakĩona atĩ, mwena ũmwe gĩcunjĩ kĩu gĩa ikũmi kĩũnganagio nĩ andũ arĩa macookaga gũkua, na nĩo Alawii; naguo mwena ũcio ũngĩ, kĩrutagĩrwo mũndũ ũrĩa uumbũrĩtwo ũhoro wake atĩ atũũraga o muoyo.
And here indeed tithes dying men receive in that place however it is testified that he lives on.
9 O na mũndũ no oige atĩ Lawi, ũcio ũrutagĩrwo gĩcunjĩ kĩu gĩa ikũmi, we mwene nĩarutire gĩcunjĩ kĩu na njĩra ya Iburahĩmu,
And so a word to speak; through Abraham also Levi the [one] tithes receiving has paid the tithe.
Still for in the loin of [his] father he was when he met with him (*k*) Melchizedek.
If indeed then perfection through the Levitical priesthood were — the people for upon (it has received [the] Law — *N(k)O*) what still need [was there] according to the order of Melchizedek [for] another to arise priest and not according to the order of Aaron to be named?
12 Nĩgũkorwo ũhoro wa ũthĩnjĩri-Ngai ũngĩgarũrĩrwo-rĩ, o naguo watho no nginya ũgarũrĩrwo.
When is being changed for the priesthood from necessity also of law a change takes place.
13 Nake mũndũ ũrĩa maũndũ maya maarĩtio nĩ ũndũ wake oimĩte mũhĩrĩga-inĩ ũngĩ, ũrĩa gũtarĩ mũndũ waguo ũrĩ watungatĩra Ngai kĩgongona-inĩ.
[He] concerning whom for are spoken these things to a tribe another has belonged to, from which no [one] has served at the altar.
[It is] evident for that out of Judah has sprung the Lord of us as to which a tribe concerning (priests *N(K)O*) no [thing] Moses spoke.
15 Na rĩrĩ, ũhoro ũrĩa twarĩtie no ũmenyeke wega makĩria angĩkorwo mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai ũngĩ ũtariĩ ta Melikisedeki nĩonekanĩte,
And more excessive yet evident it is, if according to the likeness of Melchizedek arises a priest another,
who not according to a law of a commandment (fleshly *N(k)O*) has been constituted but according to [the] power of a life indestructible;
17 Nĩgũkorwo nĩkuumbũrĩtwo atĩrĩ: “Wee ũrĩ mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai nginya tene, o ta ũrĩa Melikisedeki aatariĩ.” (aiōn )
(It is testified *N(k)O*) for that You [are] a priest to the age according to the order of Melchizedek.
A putting away indeed for there is while is preceding [the] commandment because of its weakness and uselessness —
19 (nĩgũkorwo watho ndũrĩ ũndũ watũmire wagĩrĩre kũna), no nĩtũheetwo kĩĩrĩgĩrĩro kĩega makĩria kĩrĩa gĩtũhotithagia gũkuhĩrĩria Ngai.
no [thing] for perfected the law — [the] introduction then of a better hope through which we draw near to God.
20 Na ũndũ ũyũ ndwekirwo hatarĩ mwĩhĩtwa! Andũ acio angĩ nĩmatuĩkaga athĩnjĩri-Ngai hatarĩ mwĩhĩtwa,
And to as much as not apart from an oath.
21 nowe aatuĩkire mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai na mwĩhĩtwa, rĩrĩa Ngai aamwĩrire atĩrĩ: “Jehova nĩehĩtĩte, na ndangĩĩricũkwo, akoiga atĩrĩ: ‘Wee ũrĩ mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai nginya tene.’” (aiōn )
those ones truly for without an oath are priests having become, [He] however with an oath through the [One] who is saying to Him: Has sworn [the] Lord and not will change His mind; You [are] a priest to the age (according to the order of Melchizedek; *K*) (aiōn )
22 Nĩ ũndũ wa mwĩhĩtwa ũyũ, Jesũ nĩatuĩkĩte mũrũgamĩrĩri wa kĩrĩkanĩro kĩrĩa kĩega makĩria.
By so much (also *no*) of a better covenant has become [the] guarantee Jesus.
23 Ningĩ-rĩ, nĩgũkoretwo na athĩnjĩri-Ngai aingĩ ta acio hau mbere, nĩgũkorwo nĩmakuaga magakĩgirio gũthiĩ na mbere na ũtungata ũcio.
And those indeed many are having become priests because of by death being prevented from continuing;
24 No tondũ Jesũ atũũraga muoyo nginya tene-rĩ, ũthĩnjĩri-Ngai wake nĩ wa gũtũũra nginya tene. (aiōn )
However because of the abiding of Him to the age a permanent He holds priesthood; (aiōn )
25 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio nĩahotaga kũhonokia kũna arĩa othe mokaga kũrĩ Ngai magereire harĩ we, nĩgũkorwo egũtũũra amathaithanagĩrĩra.
wherefore also to save to the uttermost He is able those drawing near through Him to God always living for to intercede for them.
26 Tondũ nĩ kwagĩrĩire tũgĩe na mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai mũnene ta ũcio, atũhingagĩrie bata witũ, na akorwo arĩ mũtheru, na atarĩ ũcuuke, kana rĩhia, na aamũranĩtio na ehia, o na agatũũgĩrio igũrũ rĩa igũrũ.
Such indeed for us (also *no*) was fitting a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and higher than the heavens having become;
27 We ndekũbatara kũruta magongona mũthenya o mũthenya ta ũrĩa athĩnjĩri-Ngai anene acio angĩ meekaga, mbere nĩ ũndũ wa mehia make mwene, na thuutha ũcio nĩ ũndũ wa mehia ma kĩrĩndĩ. We nĩarutire igongona nĩ ũndũ wa mehia mao ihinda o rĩmwe rĩa kũigana hĩndĩ ĩrĩa eerutire we mwene.
who not has every day need as the high priests first for [their] own sins sacrifices to offer up then for those of the people; this for He did once for all Himself having offered up.
28 Nĩgũkorwo watho ũtuaga andũ matarĩ hinya athĩnjĩri Ngai anene; no mwĩhĩtwa, ũrĩa wokire thuutha wa watho, nĩwaamũrire Mũriũ, ũrĩa ũtuĩkĩte mwagĩrĩru kũna nginya tene. (aiōn )
The law for men appoints as high priests having weakness, the word however of the oath which [is] after the law a Son to the age perfected. (aiōn )
