Kolosser 2
1 Ich lasse euch aber wissen, welch einen Kampf ich habe um euch und um die zu Laodicea und alle, die meine Person im Fleisch nicht gesehen haben,
For I would have you know what a great conflict I have for you, and for those in Laodicea, and as many as have not seen me in person:
2 auf daß ihre Herzen ermahnet und zusammengefasset werden in der Liebe zu allem Reichtum des gewissen Verstandes, zu erkennen das Geheimnis Gottes und des Vaters und Christi,
that their hearts may be comforted, being knit together in love, and to all the riches of a full assurance of understanding in these things, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of our God and Father, and of Christ:
3 in welchem verborgen liegen alle Schätze der Weisheit und der Erkenntnis.
in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
4 Ich sage aber davon, daß euch niemand betrüge mit vernünftigen Reden.
And this I say, least any one should deceive you with fine speeches.
5 Denn ob ich wohl nach dem Fleisch nicht da bin, so bin ich aber im Geist bei euch, freue mich und sehe eure Ordnung und euren festen Glauben an Christum.
For though I be absent in body, yet am I with you in spirit, rejoicing and beholding your regularity, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
6 Wie ihr nun angenommen habt den HERRN Christum Jesum, so wandelt in ihm
Therefore as ye have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in Him;
7 und seid gewurzelt und erbauet in ihm und seid fest im Glauben, wie ihr gelehret seid, und seid in demselbigen reichlich dankbar.
rooted and built up in Him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught it, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8 Sehet zu, daß euch niemand beraube durch die Philosophie und lose Verführung nach der Menschen Lehre und nach der Welt Satzungen und nicht nach Christo.
Take heed least any one make a prey of you by philosophy and vain deceit, according to the tradition of men, after the elements of the world, and not after Christ:
9 Denn in ihm wohnet die ganze Fülle der Gottheit leibhaftig.
for all the fulness of the deity dwelleth personally in Him.
10 Und ihr seid vollkommen in ihm, welcher ist das Haupt aller Fürstentümer und Obrigkeit,
And ye are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
11 in welchem ihr auch beschnitten seid mit der Beschneidung ohne Hände, durch Ablegung des sündlichen Leibes im Fleisch, nämlich mit der Beschneidung Christi,
In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision not performed by hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision which is of Christ:
12 in dem, daß ihr mit ihm begraben seid durch die Taufe; in welchem ihr auch seid auferstanden durch den Glauben, den Gott wirket, welcher ihn auferweckt hat von den Toten
being buried with Him in baptism, wherein also ye are raised together with Him, through faith in the power of God, who raised Him from the dead.
13 und hat euch auch mit ihm lebendig gemacht, da ihr tot waret in den Sünden und in der Vorhaut eures Fleisches, und hat uns geschenket alle Sünden
And when ye were dead in trespasses, and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses,
14 und ausgetilget die Handschrift, so wider uns war, welche durch Satzungen entstund und uns entgegen war, und hat sie aus dem Mittel getan und an das Kreuz geheftet.
and cancelled the obligation we were under by ritual decrees, which was grievous to us, and hath taken it quite away, even nailing it to his cross.
15 Und hat ausgezogen die Fürstentümer und die Gewaltigen und sie Schau getragen öffentlich und einen Triumph aus ihnen gemacht durch sich selbst.
And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made them an open spectacle, triumphing over them by it.
16 So lasset nun niemand euch Gewissen machen über Speise oder über Trank oder über bestimmte Feiertage oder Neumonde oder Sabbate,
Let no one therefore judge you on account of meat, or drink, or in respect of a feast, or a new-moon, or sabbaths;
17 welches ist der Schatten von dem, was zukünftig war; aber der Körper selbst ist in Christo.
which are a shadow of good things to come, but the body is of Christ.
18 Lasset euch niemand das Ziel verrücken, der nach eigener Wahl einhergehet in Demut und Geistlichkeit der Engel, des er nie keines gesehen hat, und ist ohne Sache aufgeblasen in seinem fleischlichen Sinn
Let no one deprive you of your reward by an affected humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into what he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his carnal mind;
19 und hält sich nicht an dem Haupt, aus welchem der ganze Leib durch Gelenk und Fugen Handreichung empfänget, und aneinander sich enthält und also wächset zur göttlichen Größe.
and not adhering to the head, from which all the body, being supplied and held together as by joints and bands, increaseth with the increase of God.
20 So ihr denn nun abgestorben seid mit Christo den Satzungen der Welt, was lasset ihr euch denn fangen mit Satzungen, als lebetet ihr noch in der Welt?
If therefore ye be dead with Christ from the elements of the world; why, as if living in the world, are ye subject to ceremonial ordinances,
21 Die da sagen: Du sollst das nicht angreifen, du sollst das nicht kosten, du sollst das nicht anrühren,
(such as "touch not, taste not,
22 welches sich doch alles, unter Händen verzehret, und ist Menschengebot und - lehre;
handle not," which all tend to corruption in the using, ) according to the commandments and doctrines of men?
23 welche haben einen Schein der Weisheit durch selbsterwählte Geistlichkeit und Demut und dadurch, daß sie des Leibes nicht verschonen und dem Fleisch nicht seine Ehre tun zu seiner Notdurft.
which things indeed have a pretence to wisdom in voluntary worship, and humiliation, and bodily penance, as having no regard to the satisfying of the flesh.
