1 He wode Philaxoossay ista suuthi ista yarshora gathi walakida Galila asata gish Yesussas yoottida asati heen iza ollan deetes.
Now there were present some, in that very season, bringing tidings to him, concerning the Galilaeans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 Izikka zaaridi histtini hessamala waayey ista bolla gakkida asati hankko waayey gakkonta attida Galila asa wursotappe aadhdhida nagarancha gidida gish giidi qoppetii? gides.
And, answering, he said unto them—Suppose ye, that, these Galilaeans, had become, sinners beyond all the Galilaeans, because, these things, they have suffered?
3 Gideena ta intes yootays inte maaretonta ixxikko inte wurikka he asata mala dhayana.
Nay! I tell you, but, except ye repent, ye, all, in like manner, shall perish.
4 Woykko Salhomen gimbey ista bolla wodhdhin hayqqida, tammanne osppun asati Yerusalemen diza asa wursofe nagarancha gididagish giidi qoppetii?
Or, those eighteen, upon whom fell the tower in Siloam, and slew them, suppose ye that, they, had become, debtors, beyond all the men who were dwelling in Jerusalem?
5 Gideenna ta intes yootays inte maaretonta ixxikko inte wurikka he asata mala dhayanan.
Nay! I tell you, but, except ye repent, ye, all, in the same way, shall perish.
6 Qassekka istas issi uray woyne tookkizasson tokkettida issi balase giza mith daysu, he balase miththaykko ayfe koshshu yiidi issi ayfekka demmibeynna.
And he went on to speak this parable: —A certain man had, a fig-tree, planted in his vineyard, and he canto seeking fruit therein, and found none.
7 Woyne akakkiltte oothizaysas “hekko tani ayfe demmna gaada hachchra heezzu layth ha balaseykko simerista yaada issi ayfekka demabeykke, hessa gish izo qanxxa diga, aazas coo biitta xunxazee?” giidi leemuso yootides.
And he said unto the vine-dresser—Lo! three years, I come, seeking fruit in this fig-tree, and find none. Cut it down! Why doth it make, even the round useless?
8 Izika zaaridi Godo tani izi xaphon osha yeggada oothetha xeellana mala halaythas agaggarkkii.
And, he, answering, saith unto him—Sir! let it alone this year also, until such time as I dig about it, and throw in manure, —
9 Yiza laythas iza ayfikko lo7o, ayfonta ixxikko qanxxanddasa gides.
and if it may bear fruit for the future; …but, otherwise, certainly, thou shalt cut it down.
10 Yesussay sanbbata gallas issi mukuraben tamaarisishin
And he was teaching in one of the synagogues, on the Sabbath.
11 tammanne osppun layth kumeth iita ayaanaay oykkidi asatetha pacisida issi maccashya heen daysu, izakka zokkoy kuunnida gish mulekka dhoqqu gaanas dandda7ukku
And lo! a woman, having a spirit of weakness eighteen years, —and was bowed together, and unable to lift herself up, at all.
12 Yesussay izo beyidinne xeeygidi hanne maccashaye neni nena sakkiza hargezappe paxaddasakko gides.
And, seeing her, Jesus called her and said to her—Woman! thou art loosed from thy weakness, —
13 Izi ba kushe izi bolla wothini iza heeraka sit gaada eqqadus, Xoossakka galatadus.
and laid on her his hands; and, instantly, she was made straight again, and began glorifying God.
14 Mukurabe halaqqazikka sanbbata gallas pathidaysas Yesussa bolla hanqqettidi izakko yiza dereza “oothos bessiza usuppun gallasati diza gish he ootho galassatan yiidi paxite attin sanbbata gallas yooppite” gides.
But the synagogue-ruler, answering, being greatly displeased that, on the Sabbath, Jesus had healed, began saying unto the multitude—Six days, there are, in which men ought to get their work done; On them, therefore, come and be healed, and, not on the day of rest.
15 Godaykka zaaridi inteno qoodheppe qommon haasa7izayto inte garsafe issi uray ba boora woykko ba hare sanbbata gallas beson qachchettidasooppe birshiddi haathe ushanaas efi erennee?
The Lord answered him, and said—Hypocrites! Doth not, each one of you, on the Sabbath, loose his ox or ass from the manger, and, leading it away, give it drink?
16 Histtin hanna maccashiya Abrame na gidada tammanne osppun layth kumeth xalla7ey qachchin diza sooppe sanbbata gallas birshettanas izis besennee? gides
But, this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, lo! eighteen years, was there not a needs-be that she should be loosed from this bond, on the day of rest?
17 Yesussay hizgi oychchida wode izara eqqettizayti wurikka yelattida, gido attin derey wurikka izi oychchida malalisiza oychcho wurson ufa7ettides.
And, as he was saying, these, things, all who had been setting themselves against him were being put to shame; and, all the multitude, were rejoicing over all the glorious things which were being brought to pass by him.
18 Qassekka Yesussay zaaridi Xoossa kawotethi ay milatizee? Izo aazara leemusoo?
He went on to say, therefore—Whereunto, is the kingdom of God, like? And, whereunto, shall I liken it?
19 Issi uray etha ayfe ba gadeni tookkini mokada diccada gita gidiin kafoti izi hangge giddon duusasso giigissana gakanas dicida etha mith milataysu gides.
It is, like, unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and cast into his own garden; and it grew, and became a tree, and, the birds of heaven, lodged amongst its branches.
20 Qassekka Xoossa kawotethi aazara leemusoo?
And, again, he said—Whereunto, shall I liken the kingdom of God?
21 Issi maccash munuqa caallisanas daro dhiillera walakkida guutha irsho malaataysu gides.
It is, like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, until, the whole, was leavened.
22 Hessafe guye Yesussay Yerusaleme bishe kanthi biza katamanne gutatan asa tamaarisishe aadhdhishin,
And he was journeying on, city by city and village by village, and making, progress, unto Jerusalem.
23 issi uray izakko shiiqidi “Godo firdappe guutha asati xalla atannee?” giidi oychchides. Izikka zaaridi xuntha pengeyra gelanaas baxxettite, daroti gelanaas koyetes shin istas hanena.
And one said unto him—Lord! are they, few, who are being saved? And, he, said unto them—
Be striving to enter through the narrow door; for, many, I say unto you, will seek to enter, and will not be able, —
25 Keetha Goday denddidi ba kare gordi gidiin inte karen eqqidi Godo kare doyarkki giidi pengge qoxana shin izi zaaridi inte oonakkone awappe yidakkone ta intena erikke gaana gides.
when once the householder shall rouse himself, and lock the door, and ye begin to stand, outside, and to knock at the door, saying—Lord! open to us; and he shall answer and say unto you—I know you not, whence ye are.
26 Intenikka izas zaaridi nuni nenara issife midosinne issife uydos nu dubbushan nuna ne tamaarsadasa gaana.
Then, will ye begin to say—We did eat and drink in thy presence, and, in our broadways, thou didst, teach;
27 Izika zaaridi intena inte oonakkone inte awappe yidakko ta intena erikke inte makkal7ati wurikka tappe haakkite gaana gides.
And he will speak, saying unto you—I know not whence ye are; Depart from me, all workers of unrighteous—
28 Inte Abramenne Yisaqqane Yaqobe nabeta wursota Xoossa kawotethan beyiza wode inte karen yegetti attizza wode he wode intes yeehonne achche garcethi gidana.
There, will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, as soon as ye see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and, yourselves, being thrust forth outside.
29 Asay away mokiza baggafenne wiliza baggafe pude baggafenne duge baggafe yiidi Xoossa kawotetha maaddan uttana.
And they shall have come from east and west, and from north and south, and be made recline in the kingdom of God.
30 Hekko guyyen dizaytappe bagaz sinthe aadhdhanna sinthan dizaytappe baggati guye aadhdhannayti deetes.
And lo! there are, last, who shall be, first, and there are, first, who shall be, last;
31 He wode Farsawistappe issi issi assi yiidi “Herdoossay nena wodhanas koyiza gish hayssafe dendda kichcha” gida.
In that very hour, came near certain Pharisees, saying unto him, Go forth, and be journeying hence, because, Herod, desireth to slay thee.
32 Yesussay istas “tani buro hachchine wontoone dayiddanthata asappe kessana harggizaytakka pathana heezantho gallas ta ammoso ta gathanna gides gidi he worikkenas yootite” gides.
And he said unto them—Go and tell this fox, Lo! I am casting out demons, and, cures, am I finishing, to-day, and to-morrow, —
33 Gido attin nabey Yerusalemeppe karen hayqqanas besontta gish hachchine wonto wontofeinikka ta hamuth sinth gujjana gides.
and, on the third, I am to be made perfect. Nevertheless, I must needs, to-day, and tomorrow, and the following, be journeying on, because it is impossible that a prophet perish, outside Jerusalem.
34 Hanne Yerusaleme nabeta wodhizare neekko kitettiddayta shuuchchara caddizare kuttoy ba ciyista ba qefe gars shiishiza mala ne nayta shishanas aappun wode koyadinashin inte gakkides akkay gidista.
Jerusalem! Jerusalem! she that slayeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! How often, have I desired to gather together thy children, like as a hen, her own brood, under her wings, —and ye did not desire!
35 Hekko inte keethay kayzides ta intes yootays Goda sunthan yiza uray anjjettides inte gaana wodey gakanashe nam77antho tana beyekista.
Lo! your house is left to you. [And] I say unto you—In nowise shall ye see me, until ye say, —Blessed, is he that cometh in the name of the Lord!
