1 He wode daro derey ba giddon issay issara yedhistana gakanas shiiqi uttidashe Yesussay bena kaallizayta “Farsawista irshofe naagettite, hessikka lo7o qoodheppe qommo hano” gides.
Amongst which things, when the ten thousands of the multitude were gathered together, so that they were treading one upon another, he began to be saying, unto his disciples, first—Be keeping yourselves free from the leaven of the Pharisees, the which is, hypocrisy.
2 Qoncconta kamettidi attizaynne erettonta qotan attannay baa.
But, nothing, hath been, covered up, which shall not be uncovered, and hidden, which shall not be made known.
3 Hessa gish inte geeman haasa7idazi wuri qoncce kezena, qassekka inte qol7an haythan sasukketi haasa7idazi wuri dere sinthan yootettana.
Because, as many things as, in the darkness, ye have said, in the light, shall be heard; and, what to the ear ye spake, in the chambers, shall be proclaimed on the housetops.
4 Ta laggeto ta intes gizay asho xalla wodhanappe attin hara aykkokka oothanas dandda7ontaytas babbofite.
And I say unto you, my friends—Do not be put in fear of them who kill the body, and, after these things, have nothing more uncommon which they can do.
5 Gido attin inte babbaanas bessizay oonakkoone ta intes bessana asho wodhidape guye ashonne shemponne issife gathi gaanname taman yegganas danda7izaysa babitte. Ee izas babbite gays. (Geenna g1067)
But I will suggest to you, whom ye should fear—Fear him who, after killing, hath authority to cast into gehenna, —Yea, I say unto you—Him, fear ye. (Geenna g1067)
6 Gaashe kafo ichachchati nam77u santes bayzettettees, gido attin istafe issiniyokka Xoossi dogenna.
Are not, five sparrows, sold for two farthings? and, not one from among them, hath been forgotten before God.
7 Inte hu7e ithikey kumeth taybboon dees. hessa gish babbofite, daro gaashe kafotappe inte aadhdhista.
But, even the hairs of your head, have all been numbered: Be not afraid: many sparrows, ye excel.
8 T intes yooays “ta gish asa sinthan markatiza asa wursos asa nay qassekka Xoossa kiitancha sinthan iza gish markkttana.
And I say unto you—Whosoever shall confess me before men, even the Son of Man, will confess him, before the messengers of God;
9 Gido attin asa sinthan tana kadida uray Xoossa kiitancha sinthan izi kaddistana.
But, he who denied me before men, shall be denied before the messengers of God.
10 Asa na bolla kawisha qaala haasa7iza uras naggaray wuri maaristana shin xillo ayanan cayiza uray maaretenna.
And, whosoever shall say a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but, unto him who, against the Holy Spirit, speaketh profanely, it shall not be forgiven.
11 Asay intena oykkidi dere haarizaytakkonne Godatizaytako mukurabe oykki efikko ay zarino ay giino gidi hirgofite.
But, whensoever they shall be bringing you in before the synagogues, and the rulers, and the authorities, do not be anxious how, [or what] ye shall answer, or what ye shall say;
12 Ays giiko inte haasa7ana koshizaysa xillo ayaanaay he wode intena tamaarsana.”
For, the Holy Spirit, shall teach you, in that very hour, what ye ought to say.
13 Daro asa garsafe issi uray “tamaarisizayso ta ishay nu aawa lata miishshafe tana gakkizaysa taas immana mala izas yoota” gides.
And one from amongst the multitude said unto him—Teacher! bid my brother divide with me the inheritance.
14 Yesussaykka “hayso tana inte bolla pirdiza daanna oothiday oonee?” gides.
But, he, said unto him—Man! who hath appointed me a judge or divider over you?
15 Qassekka istas “asas daro miish deyikkokka shemppoy he duretethan deyonta gish naagetite, yiiqqetethafe intena keehi naagite” gides.
And he said unto them—Mind and be guarding yourselves from all covetousness; for not, in one’s abundance, doth his life spring out of his possessions.
16 Zarethidikka qasse istas leemuso hiz gidi yottidees “lo7ethi kath immiza gade Goda gidida issi dure asi dees.
And he spake a parable unto them, saying—A certain rich man’s estate, bare well.
17 He addezzika ba wozinan (ta kaththa shishshada wothizassoy bayndda gish ay oothoo?) gidi qoppides.
And he began to deliberate within himself, saying—What shall I do? because I have not where I can gather my fruits.
18 Addezzika (taas diza gootarata lalada hara aakkizaaz keexada kaththanne taas dizaz ubbaa izan shishshanna.
And he said—This, will I do, —I will pull down my barns, and, greater ones, build, and gather, there, all my wheat and good things;
19 Ta shempiyokka ta shemppoye daro wodes gidiza kath shiishshida gish shemppa uttada ma, uya ufa7ista) gaana gides.
and will say to my soul—Soul! thou hast many good things [lying by for many years: be taking thy rest, eat, drink, ] be making merry!
20 Gido attin (Xoossi haysso eeyazo ne shemppiyo hach omars neppe ekkana koyetes, hessa gish ne nees shiishshidays oonas gidanee?) gides.
But God said unto him—Simple one! on this very night, they are asking, thy soul, from thee; The things, then, which thou hast prepared, whose shall they be?
21 Hessa gish Xoossa achchan dure gidonta bees miishshe shiishshiza asa wursethikka hessa mala.”
[So, is he that is laying up treasure for himself, and is not rich, towards God.]
22 Hessafe guye Yesussay bena kaallizaytas “intes ta yootays inte duusas ay maanakkonne, woykko inte bollas ay mayanaakkonne daro qoppofite.
And he said unto his disciples—For this cause, I say unto you, —Be not anxious for the life, what ye shall eat, nor yet for [your] body, what ye shall put on;
23 Ays giiko shemppoy kaththafe asatethi qasse mayoppe aadhdhees.
For, the life, is more, than the food, and, the body, than, the clothing.
24 Quurota xellite zeretenna maaxetenna, kath shiishshiza gootaray istas baa shin Xoossi ista muzees. histtikko inte istafe keehi adhdheketii?
Consider well the ravens—That they sow nor, neither do they reap, which have neither chamber nor barn, —and, God, feedeth, them! By how much do, ye, excel, the birds?
25 Gido attin intefe darsi qoppidi ba laytha bolla issi gallas gujjana dandda7izay oonee?
And, who from among you, though anxious, can, unto his stature, add a cubit?
26 Histtikko guutha miish oothooy intes dandda7etontashshe ays hara miishshas keehi qoppetii?
If then, not even the least thing, ye can do, why, concerning the rest, are ye anxious?
27 Ciishshati waanidi diccizaakkonne ane xellite, waayyettenna, suqettenna gido attin ta intes yootays Solomoneykka giita asa shin istafe issineytho maybeynna.
Consider well the lilies, how they grow: they toil not, neither do they spin, and yet I say unto you—Not even Solomon, in all his glory, was arrayed like one of these.
28 Histtikko Xoossi hach beettiddi wonto taman wodhana maata hayssatho mayziza gidikko inteno amannoy paccidayto intena wosit aathi mayizanee?
But, if God thus adorneth, the grass, which is, in a field, to-day, and, to-morrow, into an oven, is cast, how much rather you, O little-of-faith?
29 Hessa gish ay minoo ay maynoo giidi inte wozinay darsi qoppofo.
Ye, therefore, be not seeking what ye shall eat and what ye shall drink, and be not held in suspense;
30 Biitta bollan diza asi wuri hayssa koyees, gido attin hayssi wuri intes koshizayyssa inte salo aaway eres.
For, after all these things, do, the nations of the world, seek, —but, your Father, knoweth that ye need these things.
31 Wursofekka koyrothidi Xoossa kawotethi koyite hayssi wuri intes gujjeti imettanna.
Notwithstanding, be seeking his kingdom, —and, these things, shall be added unto you.
32 Inteno guutha mehe wude mala gididayto kawotethi intes immanas inte aawa lo7o qofa gidida gish babbofite.
Be not afraid, the dear little flock! for your Father delighteth to give you, the kingdom.
33 Intes dizayssa bayziddi manqotas immite, kaysoy ekkonta son, bil77ay montason, cimonta korojjon wuronta miish salon shiishshite.
Sell your possessions, and give alms, make for yourselves purses that wax not old, —treasure unfailing, in the heavens, where, thief, doth not draw near, and, moth, doth not spoil.
34 Inte wozinay inte miish dizason daana.
For, where your treasure is, there, will your heart he also.
35 qaqnthan gixxidi giigetite, inte poo7oykka poo77o,
Let your loins be girded, and your lamps burning,
36 Ista Goday bulachcha diggisappe simmidi yaanashe naagetizaytanne izi yiidi pengge qoxishin elle doyanas giigi uttida asata milatite.
And, ye yourselves, like unto men awaiting their own lord, once he may break up out of the marriage-feast, —that, when he cometh and knocketh, straightway, they may open unto him.
37 Ista Goday yiza wode dhiskonta naagidi uttida ashshkarati isti anjjettidayta, ta intes tumu gays ista Goday bees qaanthan gixxi eqqidi ista maaddan utisidi muzana.
Happy those servants, whom the lord, when he cometh, shall find watching! Verily, I say unto you—he will gird himself, and make them recline, and, coming near, will minister unto them.
38 Omars woykko gidi giddoth yiidi isti dhiskkonta dishin demmikko he ashshkarati anjjettidayta.
And, if, in the second, or if, in the third, watch, he come and find, thus, happy, are, they!
39 Kaysoy ay wode yaanakkon eriza gididakko keeththa Goday kaysoy bookkishin co7u giidi besoonttayssa erite.
But, of this, be taking note—Had the householder known, in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched, and not suffered his house, to be digged through.
40 Asa nay inte qopponta woden yanayisa eridi intekka giigetidi naagite.”
Ye, therefore, be getting ready, because, in what hour ye are not thinking, The Son of Man cometh!
41 Phexirosaykka “Godo hayssa leemuso ne yootizay nuus xallaye wurso asasara yootizayii?” gides.
But Peter said—Lord! unto us, this parable, speakest thou? or, even unto all?
42 Godaykka “histtikko beso asas koshshiza woden quma immana mala keethaddey keeththa asa bolla wothiza amanettidda wozinama asi oonee?” giidi zaarides.
And the Lord said—Who then is the faithful steward, the prudent one, whom the lord will appoint over his body of attendants, to be giving, in due season, the measured allowance of wheat?
43 Goday simmiishni hessaththo oothishe beettizaddey izi anjjettidadde.
Happy, that servant, whom the lord, when he cometh shall find doing, thus!
44 Ta intes tumu gays bees diza miish wurso bolla he ura goddasna.
Of a truth, I say unto you—Over all his possessions, will he appoint him.
45 Gido attin he uray ta Goday elle yeena gam7ana giidi qoppidi addenne macca ashshkarata bukkikko, qassekka koyida mala miidi uyidi mathotikko
But, if that servant should say in his heart—My lord delayeth to come! and should begin to be striking the youths and the maidens, —to be eating also, and drinking, and making himself drunk,
46 he ura Goday izi qopponta gallassan yaana giidi sidhonta saatten yana. yiidikka iza qanxerethidi iza exa amanonttaytara issife oothanna.
The lord of that servant, will have come—on a day when he is not expecting, and in an hour when he is not taking note, —and will cut him asunder, and, his part, with the unfaithful, will appoint.
47 Be Goda qofa eridi giigetontaynne Goda shene oothonta ashshkaray iita shoch shocettana.
And, that servant, who had come to know the will of his lord, and neither prepared, nor wrought unto his will, shall be beaten with many stripes;
48 Gido attin eronta dishe shochas bessiza mooro oothida ashshkaray guuthara shocistana. Daro imetida asa wursofe daroy koyetes, daro haddara ekkida urappe daroy koyetes.
Whereas, he who had not come to know, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. And, every one to whom was given much, much, shall be sought from him; and, he to whom they committed much, for more than common, will they ask him.
49 Tani yiday biitta bollan tama eethanassa. He tamay ha7i eexxi kezidakko tana daro ufaysanashin.
Fire, came I to cast upon the earth, —and what can I wish, if, already, it hath been, kindled?
50 Gido attin tani xamaqistana xinqatay dees, he xinqatay polistanashe tani keeha metotettadis.
But, an immersion, have I, to be immersed with, and how am I distressed, until it be ended!
51 Intes tani biitta bolla saro ehanna yida milatizee? Gideenna, ta intes yootays tani yiday issa issafe shaakanassa.
Suppose ye, that, peace, I am come to give in the earth? Nay, I tell you, but rather division.
52 Haysafe sinthan issi keeththan ba giddon shaakettida ichachu asati daana. Nam77ati heezata bolla heezati nam77ata bolla denddidi ba garssan shaakistanna.
For there shall be, henceforth, five in one house, divided, —three against two, and two against three:
53 Aaway ba attumma na bolla, attumma naykka ba aawa bolla, aaya ba macca nay bolla maca nayakka ba aayeyi bolla, bolota ba na machchey bolla, na machaka ba boloti bolla denddidi ba garsan shaakistana.
There shall be divided—Father against son, and son against father, mother against daughter, and daughter against the mother, —mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against the mother-in-law.
54 Qassekka derezas “inte awa arshey mokiza bagara shaaray kezishin beyidi elleraka iray yana gees geista inte gida malaka hanes.
And he went on to say, even unto the multitudes, —Whensoever ye see a cloud springing up from the west, straightway, ye are saying—A thunderstorm is coming! and it happeneth thus.
55 Duge baggara pude carkishshin gallassay ho7o gidana geista, inte gida malaka hanes.
And, whensoever a south wind, blowing, ye say—A scorching heat, will there be! and it cometh to pass.
56 Inteno lo7o milatiza iitato saloysanne sa7a medha beyidi hananayisa ereista shin histini ha wodeza eroy intena waani xoonizee?
Hypocrites! the face of the earth and of the heaven, ye know how to scan; but, this season, how know ye not to scan;
57 Histikko inte ays tuma firdeketii?
Why, moreover, even from yourselves, judge ye not what is just?
58 Ne morkera daana sinthan eqqana bishin buro oge bollan dashe izara giigana oge maqqa, ne histonta agikko nena gochchidi daana sinth efana, daannaykka nena aathiddi halaqas immana, halaqaykka nena woynen yeggana.
For, as thou art going along with thine adversary unto a ruler, on the way, take pains to get a release from him; lest once he drag thee along unto the judge, and, the judge, deliver thee up to the punisher, —and, the punisher, cast thee into prison:
59 Ta nees yootays daannay firdida wursetha santime qanxa wursana gakanas heepe kezaka.”
I tell thee—In nowise shalt thou come out from thence, until, even the last fraction, thou pay!
