Ecclésiaste 8
1 Qui est tel que le sage? et qui connaît la solution de la parole? La sagesse de l’homme luit sur son visage, et le tout-puissant changera sa face.
Who? [is] like the wise [person] and who? [is] knowing [the] interpretation of a matter [the] wisdom of anyone it makes shine face his and [the] strength of face his it is changed.
2 Pour moi j’observe la bouche du roi, et les préceptes du serment de Dieu.
I [the] mouth of a king keep and on [the] cause of [the] oath of God.
3 Ne te hâte pas de te retirer de devant sa face, et ne persévère pas dans une œuvre mauvaise; parce que tout ce qu’il voudra, il le fera;
May not you be hasty from before him you will go may not you stand in a matter evil for all that he will desire he will do.
4 Et sa parole est pleine de puissance; et nul ne peut lui dire: Pourquoi faites-vous ainsi?
In that a word of a king [is] mastery and who? will he say to him what? are you doing.
5 Celui qui garde le précepte n’éprouvera rien de mal. Le temps et la réponse, le cœur du sage les comprend.
[one who] keeps A command not he will know a thing evil and an appropriate time and custom it will know a heart wise.
6 À toute chose est son temps et son opportunité, et grande est l’affliction de l’homme,
For for every matter there [is] an appropriate time and a custom for [the] trouble of humankind [is] great on him.
7 Parce qu’il ignore les choses passées, et que les futures, il ne peut les savoir par aucun messager.
For not he [is] knowing what? that will it be that just as it will be who? will he tell to him.
8 Il n’est pas au pouvoir de l’homme de retenir le souffle de la vie; et il n’a pas de pouvoir au jour de la mort; il ne lui est pas permis de se reposer, la guerre éclatant: et l’impiété ne sauvera pas l’impie.
There not [is] anyone having mastery over the wind to restrain the wind and there not [is] mastery over [the] day of death and there not [is] discharge in the battle and not it will rescue wickedness owners its.
9 J’ai considéré toutes ces choses, et j’ai appliqué mon cœur à toutes les œuvres qui se font sous le soleil Quelquefois l’homme domine un homme pour son propre malheur.
All this I have seen and I have given heart my to every deed which it is done under the sun a time when he domineers person over a person for evil of him.
10 J’ai vu des impies ensevelis, qui, lors même qu’ils vivaient, étaient dans le lieu saint et étaient loués dans la cité, comme si leurs œuvres eussent été justes; mais cela aussi est vanité.
And in such I have seen wicked [people] being buried and they came and from a place of holy they went and they may be forgotten in the city where right they had done also this [is] futility.
11 Car, parce que la sentence n’est pas portée promptement contre les méchants, les fils des hommes, sans aucune crainte, commettent le mal.
That not it is done [the] sentence of [the] deed of the evil quickly there-fore it is full [the] heart of [the] children of humankind in them to do evil.
12 Et cependant, parce que le pécheur, cent fois, fait le mal et qu’avec patience il est supporté, j’ai connu, moi, que le bien sera pour ceux qui craignent Dieu, qui révèrent sa face.
That a sinner [is] doing evil a hundred [times] and [he is] prolonging for himself for also [am] knowing I that it will belong good to [those] fearing God that they fear from to before him.
13 Que le bien ne soit pas pour l’impie; que ses jours ne soient pas prolongés; mais que, comme l’ombre, ils passent, ceux qui ne craignent pas la face du Seigneur.
And good not it will belong to the wicked and not he will prolong days like shadow that not he he has feared from to before God.
14 Il est une autre vanité qui a lieu sur la terre; il y a des justes à qui les maux arrivent, comme s’ils avaient fait les œuvres des impies, et il y a des impies qui vivent dans la sécurité, comme s’ils avaient pour eux les actions des justes; mais cela aussi je le juge très vain.
There [is] futility which it is done on the earth that - there [are] righteous [people] whom [it is] happening to them according to [the] deed[s] of wicked [people] and there [are] wicked [people] [to] whom [it is] happening to them according to [the] deed[s] of righteous [people] I said that also this [is] futility.
15 J’ai donc loué la joie, parce qu’il n’était, pour l’homme, de bien sous le soleil que de manger, de boire et de se réjouir; et que c’était cela seul qu’il emportait avec lui de son travail durant les jours de sa vie, que lui a donnés Dieu, sous le soleil.
And I commend I gladness that not good [belongs] to humankind under the sun that except to eat and to drink and to be happy and that it will accompany him in toil his [the] days of life his which he has given to him God under the sun.
16 Et j’ai appliqué mon cœur à connaître la sagesse, et à comprendre la tension d’esprit qui règne sur la terre. Il est tel homme qui, les jours et les nuits, ne prend pas de sommeil pour ses yeux.
When I gave heart my to know wisdom and to see the task which it is done on the earth for also in day and in night sleep in view his not he [is] seeing.
17 Et j’ai compris que l’homme ne peut trouver aucune raison de toutes les œuvres de Dieu, qui se font sous le soleil, et que plus il travaille pour chercher, moins il trouve. Quand même le sage dirait qu’il sait, il ne pourra rien trouver.
And I saw all [the] work of God that not he is able humankind to find out the work which it is done under the sun in that that he toils humankind to seek and not he will find out and also if he will say the wise [person] to know not he will be able to find out.
