2 Chroniques 22
1 Or les habitants de Jérusalem établirent roi, en sa place, Ochozias, le plus jeune de ses fils; car tous les aînés qui étaient avant lui, les voleurs Arabes qui avaient fait une irruption dans le camp, les avaient tués: ainsi régna Ochozias, fils de Joram, roi de Juda.
And they made king [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem Ahaziah son his young in place of him for all the former [sons] it had killed the marauding band which came with the Arabs to the camp and he became king Ahaziah [the] son of Jehoram [the] king of Judah.
2 Ochozias avait quarante-deux ans lorsqu’il commença à régner et il ne régna qu’un an à Jérusalem; et le nom de sa mère était Athalie, fille d’Amri.
[was] a son of Forty and two year[s] Ahaziah when became king he and a year one he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Athaliah [the] daughter of Omri.
3 Mais ce prince aussi entra dans les voies de la maison d’Achab; car sa mère le porta à se conduire d’une manière impie.
Also he he walked in [the] ways of [the] house of Ahab for mother his she was [female] counselor his to act wickedly.
4 Il fit donc le mal en la présence du Seigneur, comme la maison d’Achab; car ceux-mêmes qui y appartenaient furent ses conseillers après la mort de son père, pour sa perte.
And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh like [the] house of Ahab for they they were of him counselors after [the] death of father his to destruction of him.
5 Et il marcha selon leurs conseils, et il alla avec Joram, fils d’Achab, roi d’Israël, à la guerre contre Hazaël, roi de Syrie, à Ramoth-Galaad; et les Syriens blessèrent Joram,
Also in counsel their he walked and he went with Jehoram [the] son of Ahab [the] king of Israel to war on Hazael [the] king of Aram at Ramoth Gilead and they wounded the Arameans Joram.
6 Qui revint pour se faire guérir à Jezrahël; car il avait reçu beaucoup de blessures dans le susdit combat. Ainsi Ochozias, fils de Joram, roi de Juda, descendit pour voir Joram, malade à Jezrahël.
And he returned to get himself healed in Jezreel for the wounds which they had wounded him at Ramah when fought he with Hazael [the] king of Aram and Azariah [the] son of Jehoram [the] king of Judah he went down to see Jehoram [the] son of Ahab in Jezreel for [was] being ill he.
7 Car il fut dans la volonté de Dieu contre Ochozias, qu’il vint vers Joram; et, lorsqu’il fut venu, il sortit avec lui contre Jéhu, fils de Namsi, que le Seigneur avait oint pour détruire la maison d’Achab.
And from God it was [the] downfall of Ahaziah by going to Joram and when went he he went out with Jehoram to Jehu [the] son of Nimshi whom he had anointed him Yahweh to cut off [the] house of Ahab.
8 Comme donc Jéhu s’en allait pour détruire la maison d’Achab, il trouva les princes de Juda et les fils des frères d’Ochosias qui le servaient, et il les tua.
And it was when entered into judgment Jehu with [the] house of Ahab and he found [the] officials of Judah and [the] sons of [the] brothers of Ahaziah serving Ahaziah and he killed them.
9 Et cherchant aussi Ochosias lui-même, il le surprit caché dans Samarie; et, après qu’on le lui eut amené, il le tua: or on l’ensevelit, parce qu’il était fils de Josaphat, qui avait cherché le Seigneur en tout son cœur; mais il n’y avait plus d’espérance qu’il régnât quelqu’un de la race d’Ochosias,
And he sought to find Ahaziah and people captured him and he [was] hiding himself in Samaria and they brought him to Jehu and they put to death him and they buried him for they said [was] [the] son of Jehoshaphat he who he sought Yahweh with all heart his and not for [the] house of Ahaziah to retain strength for kingship.
10 Attendu qu’Athalie, sa mère, voyant que son fils était mort, se leva, et tua toute la race royale de la maison de Joram.
And Athaliah [the] mother of Ahaziah she saw that he was dead son her and she arose and she destroyed all [the] offspring of royalty of [the] house of Judah.
11 Mais Josabeth, fille du roi, prit Joas, fils d’Ochosias, et le déroba du milieu des enfants du roi, lorsqu’on les massacrait, et elle le cacha, avec sa nourrice, dans la chambre des lits: or Josabeth, qui l’avait caché, était fille de Joram, femme de Joïada, le pontife, et sœur d’Ochosias; et c’est pour cela qu’Athalie ne fit pas mourir Joas.
And she took Jehoshabeath [the] daughter of the king Joash [the] son of Ahaziah and she stole him from among [the] sons of the king who were being put to death and she put him and suckling-nurse his in [the] chamber of the beds and she hid him Jehoshabeath [the] daughter of the king Jehoram [the] wife of Jehoiada the priest for she she was [the] sister of Ahaziah from before Athaliah and not she killed him.
12 Ce prince fut caché avec eux dans la maison de Dieu, durant les six années que régna Athalie sur la terre de Juda.
And he was with them in [the] house of God hiding six years and Athaliah [was] reigning over the land.
