1 Jean 5
1 Quiconque croit que Jésus est le Christ est né de Dieu. Et quiconque aime celui qui a engendré aime aussi celui qui est né de lui.
Ech man that bileueth that Jhesus is Crist, is borun of God; and ech man that loueth hym that gendride, loueth hym that is borun of hym.
2 Nous connaissons que nous aimons les enfants de Dieu lorsque nous aimons Dieu et que nous gardons ses commandements.
In this thing we knowen, that we louen the children of God, whanne we louen God, and don his maundementis.
3 Car l’amour de Dieu, c’est que nous gardions ses commandements: et ses commandements ne sont pas pénibles.
For this is the charite of God, that we kepe hise maundementis; and his maundementis ben not heuy.
4 Parce que tous ceux qui sont nés de Dieu triomphent du monde; et la victoire qui triomphe du monde, c’est notre foi.
For al thing that is borun of God, ouercometh the world; and this is the victorie that ouercometh the world, oure feith.
5 Quel est celui qui triomphe du monde, sinon celui qui croit que Jésus est le Fils de Dieu?
And who is he that ouercometh the world, but he that bileueth that Jhesus is the sone of God?
6 C’est celui qui est venu avec l’eau et le sang, Jésus-Christ; non pas avec l’eau seulement, mais avec l’eau et le sang. Et c’est l’Esprit qui rend témoignage que le Christ est la vérité.
This is Jhesus Crist, that cam bi watir and blood; not in water oonli, but in watir and blood. And the spirit is he that witnessith, that Crist is treuthe.
7 Car ils sont trois qui rendent témoignage dans le ciel: le Père, le Verbe et l’Esprit-Saint; et ces trois sont une seule chose.
For thre ben, that yyuen witnessing in heuene, the Fadir, the Sone, and the Hooli Goost; and these thre ben oon.
8 Et ils sont trois qui rendent témoignage sur la terre, l’esprit, l’eau et le sang: et ces trois sont une seule chose.
`And thre ben, that yyuen witnessing in erthe, the spirit, water, and blood; and these thre ben oon.
9 Si nous recevons le témoignage des hommes, le témoignage de Dieu est plus grand; or ce témoignage de Dieu, qui est plus grand, est celui qu’il a rendu de son Fils.
If we resseyuen the witnessing of men, the witnessing of God is more; for this is the witnessing of God, that is more, for he witnesside of his sone.
10 Qui croit au Fils de Dieu a le témoignage de Dieu en soi. Qui ne croit pas au Fils fait Dieu menteur, parce qu’il ne croit pas au témoignage que Dieu a rendu de son Fils.
He that bileueth in the sone of God, hath the witnessing of God in hym. He that bileueth not to the sone, makith hym a liere; for he bileueth not in the witnessing, that God witnesside of his sone.
11 Et ce témoignage est que Dieu nous a donné la vie éternelle. Or cette vie est dans son Fils. (aiōnios g166)
And this is the witnessyng, for God yaf to you euerlastinge lijf, and this lijf is in his sone. (aiōnios g166)
12 Celui qui a le Fils a la vie; celui qui n’a point le Fils n’a point la vie.
He that hath the sone of God, hath also lijf; he that hath not the sone of God, hath not lijf.
13 Je vous écris ces choses afin que vous sachiez que vous avez la vie éternelle, vous qui croyez au nom du Fils de Dieu. (aiōnios g166)
I write to you these thingis, that ye wite, that ye han euerlastynge lijf, which bileuen in the name of Goddis sone. (aiōnios g166)
14 Et nous avons cette confiance en lui, que quelque chose que nous demandions selon sa volonté, il nous écoute.
And this is the trist which we han to God, that what euer thing we axen aftir his wille, he schal here vs.
15 Et nous savons qu’il nous écoute dans tout ce que nous demandons: nous le savons, parce que nous obtenons les demandes que nous lui faisons.
And we witen, that he herith vs, what euer thing we axen; we witen, that we han the axyngis, which we axen of hym.
16 Si quelqu’un sait que son frère a commis un péché qui ne va pas à la mort, qu’il prie, et la vie sera accordée à celui dont le péché ne va pas à la mort. Il y a un péché qui va à la mort; ce n’est pas pour celui-là que je dis que quelqu’un doive prier.
He that woot that his brother synneth a synne not to deth, axe he, and lijf schal be youun to hym that synneth not to deth. Ther is a synne to deth; `not for it Y seie, that ony man preie.
17 Toute iniquité est péché, et il y a un péché qui va à la mort.
Ech wickidnesse is synne, and ther is synne to deth.
18 Nous savons que quiconque est né de Dieu ne pèche point; mais la génération divine le conserve, et le malin ne le touche pas.
We witen, that ech man that is borun of God, synneth not; but the generacioun of God kepith hym, and the wickid touchith hym not.
19 Nous savons que nous sommes de Dieu; et le monde est tout entier sous l’empire du malin.
We witen, that we ben of God, and al the world is set in yuel.
20 Nous savons encore que le Fils de Dieu est venu, et nous a donné l’intelligence, pour que nous connaissions le vrai Dieu, et que nous soyons en son vrai Fils. C’est lui qui est le vrai Dieu et la vie éternelle. (aiōnios g166)
And we witen, that the sone of God cam in fleisch, and yaf to vs wit, that we know veri God, and be in the veri sone of hym. This is veri God, and euerlastynge lijf. (aiōnios g166)
21 Mes petits enfants, gardez-vous des idoles. Amen.
My litle sones, kepe ye you fro maumetis.
