1 Table généalogique de Jésus-Christ, fils de David, fils d'Abraham
The book of the generation of Yahushua the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
2 Abraham engendra Isaac; Isaac engendra Jacob; Jacob engendra Juda et ses frères;
Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
3 Juda engendra Pharès et Zara qu’il eut de Thamar; Pharès engendra Esrôm; Esrôm engendra Aram;
And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;
4 Aram engendra Aminadab; Aminadab engendra Naasson; Naasson engendra Salmon;
And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;
5 Salmon engendra Boès, qu'il eut de Rachab; Boès engendra Jobed, qu'il eut de Ruth; Jobed engendra Jessaï;
And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;
6 Jessaï engendra David, le roi David engendra Salomon, qu’il eut de la femme d'Urie;
And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;
7 Salomon engendra Roboam; Roboam engendra Abia; Abia engendra Asaph;
And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;
8 Asaph engendra Josaphat; Josaphat engendra Joram; Joram engendra Ozeia;
And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias;
9 Ozeia engendra Joatham; Joatham engendra Achaz; Achaz engendra Ezéchias;
And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias;
10 Ezéchias engendra Manassé; Manassé engendra Amon; Amon engendra Josias;
And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias;
11 Josias engendra Jéchonias et ses frères (c'était au temps de la déportation à Babylone).
And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:
12 Après la déportation à Babylone: Jéchonias engendra Salathiel; Salathiel engendra Zorobabel;
And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel;
13 Zorobabel engendra Abioud; Abioud engendra Eliakeïm; Eliakeïm engendra Azôr;
And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;
14 Azôr engendra Sadok; Sadok engendra Acheïm; Acheïm engendra Elioud;
And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;
15 Elioud engendra Eléazar; Eléazar engendra Matthan; Matthan engendra Jacob;
And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;
16 Jacob engendra Joseph, l'époux de Marie, de laquelle est né Jésus, dit le Christ.
And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Yahushua, who is called the Messiah.
17 En tout donc, d'Abraham jusqu'à David: quatorze générations. — De David jusqu'à la déportation à Babylone: quatorze générations. — De la déportation à Babylone jusqu'au Christ: quatorze générations.
So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto the Messiah are fourteen generations.
18 Voici comment Jésus-Christ vint au monde: Marie, sa mère, après avoir été fiancée à Joseph et avant qu'ils eussent vécu ensemble, se trouva enceinte par l'Esprit saint.
Now the birth of Yahushua the Messiah was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.
19 Or Joseph, son mari, était un juste. Ne voulant pas lui faire affront, il résolut de rompre avec elle sans bruits.
Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
20 Comme il était en cette pensée, un ange du Seigneur lui apparut en songe et lui dit: «Joseph, fils de David, n'hésite pas à recevoir chez toi, ta femme, Marie, car ce qu'elle a conçu est de l'Esprit saint.
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of YHWH appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
21 Elle mettra un fils au monde et tu lui donneras le nom de Jésus; c'est lui, en effet, qui sauvera son peuple de ses péchés.»
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Yahushua: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22 (Or tout cela arriva afin que fût accompli ce que le Seigneur avait dit par le prophète en ces mots:
Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of YHWH by the prophet, saying,
23 «Voici la vierge sera enceinte; elle mettra un fils au monde; Et on lui donnera le nom d'Emmanuel» ce qui signifie: Dieu avec nous.)
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, Elohim with us.
24 Joseph, à son réveil, agit d'après les ordres de l'ange du Seigneur: il reçut sa femme chez lui;
Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of YHWH had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
25 et il ne la connut point avant qu'elle eût mis au monde un fils auquel il donna le nom de Jésus.
And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Yahushua.
