Psaumes 25
1 De David. Vers toi, ô Éternel, j'élève mon âme.
A Psalme of David. Unto thee, O Lord, lift I vp my soule.
2 Mon Dieu, en toi je me confie: que je ne sois pas confondu! que je ne donne pas de la joie à mes ennemis!
My God, I trust in thee: let me not be confounded: let not mine enemies reioyce ouer mee.
3 Quiconque espère en toi, n'est point confondu; la confusion est pour ceux qui trahissent sans cause.
So all that hope in thee, shall not be ashamed: but let them be confounded, that transgresse without cause.
4 Éternel, indique-moi tes voies, enseigne-moi quels sont tes sentiers!
Shew me thy waies, O Lord, and teache me thy paths.
5 guide mes pas dans ta vérité, et instruis-moi! car tu es mon Dieu sauveur, c'est en toi que je mets toujours mon espoir.
Leade me foorth in thy trueth, and teache me: for thou art the God of my saluation: in thee doe I trust all the day.
6 Souviens-toi de tes compassions, Éternel, et de ta bonté, car elle remonte à l'éternité!
Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies, and thy louing kindnesse: for they haue beene for euer.
7 Oublie les péchés de mon jeune âge, et mes rebellions! En ta grâce souviens-toi de moi, au nom de ta bonté, Éternel!
Remember not the sinnes of my youth, nor my rebellions, but according to thy kindenesse remember thou me, euen for thy goodnesse sake, O Lord.
8 L'Éternel est bon et équitable: aussi montre-t-Il aux pécheurs la voie,
Gracious and righteous is the Lord: therefore will he teache sinners in the way.
9 faisant marcher les pauvres dans sa justice, et enseignant aux pauvres sa voie.
Them that be meeke, will hee guide in iudgement, and teach the humble his way.
10 Toutes les voies de l'Éternel sont grâce et fidélité pour ceux qui gardent son alliance et ses lois.
All the pathes of the Lord are mercie and trueth vnto such as keepe his couenant and his testimonies.
11 Pour l'amour de ton nom, Éternel, tu pardonneras ma faute, car elle est grande.
For thy Names sake, O Lord, be merciful vnto mine iniquitie, for it is great.
12 A l'homme qui craint l'Éternel, Il montre la voie qu'il doit choisir:
What man is he that feareth the Lord? him wil he teache the way that hee shall chuse.
13 son âme reposera au sein du bonheur, et sa postérité possédera le pays.
His soule shall dwell at ease, and his seede shall inherite the land.
14 L'Éternel se communique à ceux qui le craignent, Il leur donne son alliance pour les instruire.
The secrete of the Lord is reueiled to them, that feare him: and his couenant to giue them vnderstanding.
15 Mes yeux sont toujours fixés sur l'Éternel; car Il dégagera mes pieds du filet.
Mine eyes are euer towarde the Lord: for he will bring my feete out of the net.
16 Tourne tes regards vers moi, Éternel, et prends pitié de moi! car je suis dans l'abandon et dans la misère.
Turne thy face vnto mee, and haue mercie vpon me: for I am desolate and poore.
17 Les angoisses m'ont ouvert le cœur; délivre-moi donc de mes perplexités!
The sorowes of mine heart are enlarged: drawe me out of my troubles.
18 Vois ma misère et ma peine, et pardonne tous mes péchés!
Looke vpon mine affliction and my trauel, and forgiue all my sinnes.
19 Vois le nombre de mes ennemis, et la haine violente qui les anime!
Beholde mine enemies, for they are manie, and they hate me with cruell hatred.
20 Garde mon âme, et sauve-moi! que je ne sois pas confondu! car j'ai recours à toi.
Keepe my soule, and deliuer me: let me not be confounded, for I trust in thee.
21 Que l'intégrité et la droiture me soient un appui! car je mets en toi mon espoir.
Let mine vprightnes and equitie preserue me: for mine hope is in thee.
22 O Dieu, délivre Israël de toutes ses détresses!
Deliuer Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
