Psaumes 116
1 J'aime l'Eternel, car il a exaucé ma voix, [et] mes supplications.
It is lovely to me that the Lord heareth my voice, my supplications.
2 Car il a incliné son oreille vers moi, c'est pourquoi je l'invoquerai durant mes jours.
For he hath inclined his ear unto me: therefore throughout all my days will I call on him.
3 Les cordeaux de la mort m'avaient environné, et les détresses du sépulcre m'avaient rencontré; j'avais rencontré la détresse et l'ennui. (Sheol h7585)
The bands of death had compassed me, and the pangs of the nether world had overtaken me; I had met with distress and sorrow: (Sheol h7585)
4 Mais j'invoquai le Nom de l’Eternel, [en disant]: je te prie, ô Eternel! délivre mon âme.
I then called on the name of the Lord, I beseech thee, O Lord, release my soul.
5 L'Eternel est pitoyable et juste, et notre Dieu fait miséricorde.
Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; and our God is merciful.
6 L'Eternel garde les simples; j'étais devenu misérable, et il m'a sauvé.
The Lord preserveth the simple: I was in misery, and he helped me.
7 Mon âme, retourne en ton repos; car l'Eternel t'a fait du bien.
Return, O my soul, unto thy rest; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.
8 Parce que tu as mis à couvert mon âme de la mort, mes yeux de pleurs, [et] mes pieds de chute.
For thou hast delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from falling.
9 Je marcherai en la présence de l'Eternel dans la terre des vivants.
I will walk before the Lord in the land of life.
10 J'ai cru, c'est pourquoi j'ai parlé; j'ai été fort affligé.
I believe, therefore will I speak: I was greatly afflicted;
11 Je disais en ma précipitation: tout homme est menteur.
I indeed said in my despondency, Every man is a liar.
12 Que rendrai-je à l'Eternel? tous ses bienfaits sont sur moi.
What shall I give in return unto the Lord for all his bounties toward me?
13 Je prendrai la coupe des délivrances, et j'invoquerai le Nom de l’Eternel.
The cup of salvation will I lift up, and on the name of the Lord will I call.
14 Je rendrai maintenant mes vœux à l'Eternel, devant tout son peuple.
My vows will I pay unto the Lord, yea, in the presence of all his people.
15 [Toute sorte] de mort des bien-aimés de l'Eternel est précieuse devant ses yeux.
Grievous in the eyes of the Lord is the death of his pious ones.
16 Ouï, ô Eternel! car je suis ton serviteur, je suis ton serviteur, fils de ta servante, tu as délié mes liens.
O Lord, truly am I thy servant, I am thy servant, —the son of thy handmaid: thou hast loosened my fetters.
17 Je te sacrifierai des sacrifices d'actions de grâces, et j'invoquerai le Nom de l’Eternel.
Unto thee will I offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and on the name of the Lord will I call.
18 Je rendrai maintenant mes vœux à l'Eternel, devant tout son peuple;
My vows will I pay unto the Lord, yea, in the presence of all his people,
19 Dans les parvis de la maison de l'Eternel, au milieu de toi, Jérusalem. Louez l'Eternel.
In the courts of the house of the Lord, in thy midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah.
