Luc 20
1 Et il arriva, l’un de ces jours, comme il enseignait le peuple dans le temple et évangélisait, que les principaux sacrificateurs et les scribes survinrent avec les anciens.
And it came to pass on one of the days (of those *k*) when is teaching He the people in the temple and evangelising came up the (chief priests *NK(o)*) and the scribes with the elders
2 Et ils lui parlèrent, disant: Dis-nous par quelle autorité tu fais ces choses, ou qui est celui qui t’a donné cette autorité?
and spoke saying to Him: do tell us by what authority these things You do or who is the [one] having given to You authority this?
3 Et répondant, il leur dit: Je vous demanderai, moi aussi, une chose, et dites-moi:
Answering now He said to them; Will ask you I myself also I myself also (one *k*) thing, and do tell Me:
4 Le baptême de Jean était-il du ciel, ou des hommes?
The baptism of John from heaven was it or from men?
5 Et ils raisonnèrent entre eux, disant: Si nous disons: Du ciel, il dira: Pourquoi ne l’avez-vous pas cru?
And they reasoned among themselves saying that If we shall say: From heaven, He will say; Because of why (therefore *K*) not did you believe in him?
6 Et si nous disons: Des hommes, tout le peuple nous lapidera, car il est persuadé que Jean était un prophète.
If however we shall say; From men, the people (all *N(k)O*) will stone us; persuaded for they are John a prophet to be.
7 Et ils répondirent qu’ils ne savaient pas d’où [il était].
And they answered not to know from where.
8 Et Jésus leur dit: Moi non plus, je ne vous dis pas par quelle autorité je fais ces choses.
And Jesus said to them; Neither I myself tell you by what authority these things I am doing.
9 Et il se mit à dire au peuple cette parabole: Un homme planta une vigne, et la loua à des cultivateurs, et s’en alla hors du pays pour longtemps.
He began then to the people to speak parable this: A man (certain *NK*) planted a vineyard and rented it to farmers and went abroad a time long.
10 Et en la saison, il envoya un esclave aux cultivateurs, afin qu’ils lui donnent du fruit de la vigne; mais les cultivateurs, l’ayant battu, le renvoyèrent à vide.
And (in *k*) [in the] season he sent to the farmers a servant that from the fruit of the vineyard (they will give *N(k)O*) to him; But the farmers sent away him having beaten [him] empty-handed.
11 Et il envoya encore un autre esclave; mais l’ayant battu lui aussi, et l’ayant traité ignominieusement, ils le renvoyèrent à vide.
And he proceeded another to send a servant; but him him having beaten and having dishonored they sent away empty-handed.
12 Et il en envoya encore un troisième; mais ils blessèrent aussi celui-ci, et le jetèrent dehors.
And he proceeded a third to send; They then also him having wounded they cast out.
13 Et le maître de la vigne dit: Que ferai-je? J’enverrai mon fils bien-aimé; peut-être que, quand ils verront celui-ci, ils le respecteront.
Said then the master of the vineyard; What shall I do? I will send the son of mine the beloved; perhaps him (having seen *K*) they will respect.
14 Mais quand les cultivateurs le virent, ils raisonnèrent entre eux, disant: Celui-ci est l’héritier, tuons-le, afin que l’héritage soit à nous.
Having seen now him the farmers were reasoning among (one another *N(k)O*) saying; This is the heir; (come *K*) let us kill him so that ours may become the inheritance.
15 Et l’ayant jeté hors de la vigne, ils le tuèrent. Que leur fera donc le maître de la vigne?
And having cast forth him outside the vineyard they killed [him]. What therefore will do to them the master of the vineyard?
16 Il viendra et fera périr ces cultivateurs, et donnera la vigne à d’autres. Et l’ayant entendu, ils dirent: Qu’ainsi n’advienne!
He will come and he will destroy farmers these and will give the vineyard to others. Having heard [it] then they said; Never would it be!
17 Et lui, les regardant, dit: Qu’est-ce donc que ceci qui est écrit: « La pierre que ceux qui bâtissaient ont rejetée, celle-là est devenue la maîtresse pierre du coin »?
But having looked at them He said; What then is that written this: [The] stone which rejected those building, this has become into [the] head of [the] corner’?
18 Quiconque tombera sur cette pierre, sera brisé; mais celui sur qui elle tombera, elle le broiera.
Everyone falling on that [very] stone will be broken; on whomever but maybe it may fall, it will grind into powder him.
19 Et les principaux sacrificateurs et les scribes cherchèrent, en cette heure même, à mettre les mains sur lui; et ils craignaient le peuple, car ils connurent qu’il avait dit cette parabole contre eux.
And sought the scribes and the chief priests to lay on Him hands in that hour and they feared the people; they perceived for that against them He was speaking parable this.
20 Et l’observant, ils envoyèrent des agents secrets, qui feignaient d’être justes, pour le surprendre en [quelque] parole, de manière à le livrer au magistrat et au pouvoir du gouverneur.
And having watched [Him] they sent spies feigning themselves righteous to be, that they may catch Him in talk, (in order *N(k)O*) to deliver Him to the rule and to the authority of the governor.
21 Et ils l’interrogèrent, disant: Maître, nous savons que tu dis et que tu enseignes justement, et que tu n’as point égard à l’apparence des personnes, mais que tu enseignes la voie de Dieu avec vérité.
And they questioned Him saying; Teacher, we know that rightly You speak and You teach and not You receive [any] person but on the basis of truth the way of God teach.
22 Nous est-il permis de payer le tribut à César, ou non?
Is it lawful (for us *N(k)O*) to Caesar tribute to give or not?
23 Et s’apercevant de leur perfidie, il leur dit: Pourquoi me tentez-vous?
having perceived however of them the craftiness He said to them (why *KO*) (me do you test; *K*)
24 Montrez-moi un denier; de qui a-t-il l’image et l’inscription? Et répondant, ils dirent: De César.
(do show *N(k)O*) Me a denarius; Of whom has it [the] image and inscription? (Those *N(K)O*) And they said; Caesar’s.
25 Et il leur dit: Rendez donc les choses de César à César, et les choses de Dieu à Dieu.
And He said (to *no*) (them; *N(k)O*) Therefore do give back the [things] of Caesar to Caesar and the [things] of God to God.
26 Et ils ne pouvaient le surprendre dans ses paroles devant le peuple; et étonnés de sa réponse, ils se turent.
And not they were able to catch Him in (His *NK(o)*) declaration before the people, and having marveled at the answer of Him they became silent.
27 Et quelques-uns des sadducéens, qui nient qu’il y ait une résurrection, s’approchèrent, et l’interrogèrent,
Having approached then some of the Sadducees, the ones (denying *NK(o)*) a resurrection not being, they questioned Him
28 disant: Maître, Moïse nous a écrit, que si le frère de quelqu’un meurt, ayant une femme, et qu’il meure sans enfants, son frère prenne la femme et suscite de la postérité à son frère.
saying; Teacher, Moses wrote to us: if anyone’s brother shall die having a wife and he childless (shall be, *N(K)O*) that shall take the brother of him the wife and shall raise up seed to the brother of him.
29 Il y avait donc sept frères; et le premier, ayant pris une femme, mourut sans enfants;
Seven therefore brothers there were; and the first having taken a wife died childless,
30 et le second [prit la femme, et celui-ci aussi mourut sans enfants];
and (took *K*) the second (wife and this died childless *K*)
31 et le troisième la prit, et de même aussi les sept: ils ne laissèrent pas d’enfants et moururent;
and the third took her (likewise *o*) likewise then also the seven not did leave children and died.
32 et après eux tous la femme aussi mourut.
Finally (now of all *K*) also the woman died.
33 Dans la résurrection donc, duquel d’entre eux sera-t-elle la femme, car les sept l’ont eue pour femme?
(The woman *no*) therefore in the resurrection, of which of them does she become wife? For the seven had her as wife.
And (answering *k*) said to them Jesus; The sons of the age this marry and (are given in marriage, *N(k)O*) (aiōn g165)
35 mais ceux qui seront estimés dignes d’avoir part à ce siècle-là et à la résurrection d’entre les morts, ne se marient ni ne sont donnés en mariage, (aiōn g165)
those however having been considered worthy of the age that [one] to obtain and of the resurrection from [the] dead neither marry nor (are given in marriage; *N(k)(o)*) (aiōn g165)
36 car aussi ils ne peuvent plus mourir; car ils sont semblables aux anges, et ils sont fils de Dieu, étant fils de la résurrection.
(neither *N(k)O*) for to die any more are they able, like [the] angels for they are, and sons they are (*k*) of God of the resurrection sons being.
37 Or que les morts ressuscitent, Moïse même l’a montré, au [titre]: “Du buisson”, quand il appelle le Seigneur: le Dieu d’Abraham, et le Dieu d’Isaac, et le Dieu de Jacob.
for however are raised the dead, even Moses showed at the bush when he names [the] Lord the God of Abraham and (the *k*) God of Isaac and (the *k*) God of Jacob.’
38 Or il n’est pas le Dieu des morts, mais des vivants; car pour lui tous vivent.
God now not He is of [the] dead but of [the] living; all for to Him live.
39 Et quelques-uns des scribes, répondant, dirent: Maître, tu as bien dit.
Answering now some of the scribes said; Teacher, well you have spoken.
40 Et ils n’osèrent plus l’interroger sur rien.
no longer no longer (then *N(k)O*) were they daring to ask Him no [thing].
41 Et il leur dit: Comment dit-on que le Christ est fils de David?
He said then to them; How do they declare the Christ to be David's Son
42 Et David lui-même dit, dans le livre des Psaumes: « Le Seigneur a dit à mon seigneur: Assieds-toi à ma droite,
(and *ko*) Himself (for *no*) David says in [the] book of Psalms: Said (the *ko*) Lord to the Lord of me; do sit at [the] right hand of Me
43 jusqu’à ce que je mette tes ennemis pour marchepied de tes pieds ».
until when I may place the enemies of You [as] a footstool of the feet of You.
44 David donc l’appelle seigneur; et comment est-il son fils?
David therefore Lord Him calls, and how of him son is He?
45 Et comme tout le peuple écoutait, il dit à ses disciples:
When are listening now all the people He said to the disciples of Him;
46 Soyez en garde contre les scribes, qui se plaisent à se promener en longues robes, et qui aiment les salutations dans les places publiques, et les premiers sièges dans les synagogues, et les premières places dans les repas;
do beware of the scribes who are desiring to walk in long robes and loving greetings in the marketplaces and first seats in the synagogues and first places in the banquets,
47 qui dévorent les maisons des veuves, et pour prétexte font de longues prières; – ceux-ci recevront une sentence plus sévère.
who devour the houses of widows and as a pretext at great length pray; These will receive more excessive condemnation.
