Psaumes 65
1 Pour le chef musicien. Un psaume de David. Une chanson. La louange t'attend, Dieu, dans Sion. Les vœux seront exécutés pour vous.
To the chief Musician, A Psalm [and] Song of David. Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Zion: and to thee shall the vow be performed.
2 Toi qui entends la prière, tous les hommes viendront à toi.
O thou that hearest prayer, to thee shall all flesh come.
3 péchés m'ont submergé, mais tu as expié nos transgressions.
Iniquities prevail against me: [as for] our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.
4 Béni est celui que tu choisis et que tu fais approcher, pour qu'il puisse vivre dans vos cours. Nous serons remplis de la bonté de ta maison, votre temple sacré.
Blessed [is the man whom] thou choosest, and causest to approach [to thee], [that] he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, [even] of thy holy temple.
5 Par des actes de justice impressionnants, tu nous réponds, Dieu de notre salut. Toi qui es l'espoir de toutes les extrémités de la terre, de ceux qui sont au loin sur la mer.
[By] terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; [who art] the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off [upon] the sea:
6 Par ta puissance, tu formes les montagnes, en vous armant de force.
Who by his strength setteth fast the mountains; [being] girded with power:
7 Tu fais taire le grondement des mers, le rugissement de leurs vagues, et l'agitation des nations.
Who stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.
8 Ceux qui habitent dans des lieux lointains sont effrayés par tes merveilles. Vous appelez l'aube du matin et le soir avec des chants de joie.
They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.
9 Tu visites la terre, et tu l'arroses. Vous l'enrichissez grandement. Le fleuve de Dieu est plein d'eau. Vous leur fournissez du grain, car c'est ainsi que vous l'avez ordonné.
Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, [which] is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.
10 Tu arroses ses sillons. Vous nivelez ses crêtes. Vous l'adoucissez avec des douches. Vous le bénissez avec une récolte.
Thou waterest the ridges of it abundantly: thou settlest the furrows of it: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing of it.
11 Tu couronnes l'année de ta générosité. Vos chariots débordent d'abondance.
Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.
12 Les prairies sauvages débordent. Les collines sont revêtues d'allégresse.
They drop [upon] the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.
13 Les pâturages sont couverts de troupeaux. Les vallées sont également couvertes de céréales. Ils crient de joie! Ils chantent aussi.
The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.
