1 Sittekuin kapina lakkasi, kutsui Paavali opetuslapset tykönsä ja tervehti heitä, ja läksi matkaansa Makedoniaan.
After now ceasing the uproar (having summoned [him] *N(k)O*) Paul the disciples and (having encouraged *NO*) having said farewell he departed (to go *N(k)O*) to (*k*) Macedonia.
2 Ja kuin hän ne maakunnat vaelsi, ja oli heitä monilla sanoilla neuvonut, tuli hän Grekan maalle,
Having passed through then the districts those and having exhorted them with talk much he came to Greece;
3 Ja viipyi siellä kolme kuukautta, ja että Juudalaiset väijyivät häntä, kuin hänen piti Syriaan menemään, aikoi hän palata Makedonian kautta.
Having continued then months three, having been made a plot against him by the Jews he being about to sail into Syria, arose (a purpose *N(k)O*) to return through Macedonia.
4 Mutta Sopater Bereasta seurasi häntä Asiaan asti, ja Tessalonikasta Aristarkus ja Sekundus, ja Gajus Derbestä, ja Timoteus; mutta Asiasta Tykikus ja Trophimus.
Was accompanied by then him (until Asia *KO*) Sopater ([son] of Pyrrhus *NO*) a Berean, of the Thessalonians now Aristarchus and Secundus and Gaius of Derbe and Timothy; [the] Asians now Tychicus and Trophimus,
5 Nämät läksivät edellä ja odottivat meitä Troadassa.
These (also *no*) (having gone ahead *NK(o)*) were awaiting us in Troas;
6 Mutta me purjehdimme jälkeen pääsiäisen Philipistä ja tulimme heidän tykönsä Troadaan viitenä päivänä, ja viivyimme siellä seitsemän päivää.
We ourselves then sailed away after the days of the Unleavened Bread from Philippi and we came to them at Troas within days five (where *N(k)O*) we stayed days seven.
7 Mutta ensimmäisenä viikonpäivänä, kuin opetuslapset kokoontuivat leipää taittamaan, saarnasi heille Paavali, ja aikoen toisena päivänä matkustaa, pitensi saarnan puoli-yöhön asti.
In then the first [day] of the week come together (we *N(K)O*) (disciples for the *K*) breaking of bread Paul was talking to them about to depart on the next day he was continuing then the talk until midnight;
8 Ja monta kynttilää oli sytytetty salissa, jossa me olimme koossa.
There were now lamps many in the upper room where (we were *N(K)O*) assembled.
9 Niin nuorukainen, nimeltä Eutykus, istui akkunalla, ja raukesi syvään uneen, ja Paavalin kauvan puhuessa, tuli hän unelta voitetuksi ja putosi alas kolmannesta ullakosta, ja otettiin kuolleena ylös.
(sitting *N(k)O*) then a certain young man named Eutychus by the window, overpowered by sleep deep as is talking Paul on longer, having been overpowered by the sleep he fell from the third story down and was picked up dead.
10 Niin Paavali astui alas, ja laski itsensä hänen päällensä, ja otti syliinsä, ja sanoi: älkäät kapinoitko; sillä hänen sielunsa on vielä hänessä.
Having descended however Paul fell upon him and having embraced [him] said; Not do be alarmed; the for life of him in him is.
11 Niin hän nousi, ja taitti leipää, ja söi, ja puheli kauvan heidän kanssansa, päivän koittamaan asti, niin hän läksi matkaansa.
Having gone up then and having broken (the *no*) bread and having eaten, for long and having talked until daybreak, so he departed.
12 Niin he toivat nuorukaisen elävänä ja tulivat siitä lohdutetuksi.
They brought then the boy alive and were comforted not a little.
13 Mutta me astuimme edellä haahteen ja purhjehdimme Assoon, aikoen siellä ottaa Paavalin sisälle; sillä hän oli niin käskenyt, ja tahtoi itse maata myöten mennä.
We ourselves however (having gone ahead to *NK(o)*) the ship sailed (to *N(k)O*) Assos, there being about to take in Paul; Thus for having arranged himself he was readying himself to go on foot.
14 Kuin hän Assossa meidän kanssamme yhteen tuli, otimme me hänen sisälle ja tulimme Mityleneen.
When now (he was meeting with *N(k)O*) us at Assos, having taken in him we came to Mitylene;
15 Sieltä me purhjehdimme ja tulimme toisena päivänä Kion kohdalle. Ja taas pävää jälkeen tulimme me Samoon, ja viivyimme Trogylliossa. Ja päivää jälkeen tulimme me Miletoon.
And from there And from there having sailed away on the following [day] we arrived (opposite *N(k)O*) Chios, on the then next [day] we arrived at Samos (and await in Trogyllium *K*) on the (and *no*) following [day] we came to Miletus.
16 Sillä Paavali oli päättänyt purjehtia Epheson ohitse, ettei hän Asiassa aikaa kuluttaisi; sillä hän kiiruhti, jos hänelle olis mahdollinen ollut, helluntaiksi Jerusalemiin.
(Had decided *N(k)O*) for Paul to sail by Ephesus, so that not it may happen to him to spend time in Asia; he was hastened for if possible (it would be *N(k)O*) for him on the day of Pentecost to be in Jerusalem.
17 Mutta hän lähetti Miletosta sanan Ephesoon ja kutsutti seurakunnan vanhimmat.
From then Miletus having sent to Ephesus he called for the elders of the church.
18 Kuin he tulivat hänen tykönsä, sanoi hän heille: te tiedätte, kuinka minä olen ollut kaiken ajan teidän tykönänne ensimmäisestä päivästä, jona minä Asiaan tulin,
When then they had come to him he said to them; You yourselves know from [the] first day on which I arrived in Asia how with you the whole time I was
19 Palvellen Herraa kaikella sydämen nöyryydellä, ja monilla kyyneleillä, ja kiusauksilla, jotka minulle Juudalaisten väijymisistä tapahtuivat:
serving the Lord with all humility and (many *K*) tears and trials that were happening to me in the plots of the Jews;
20 Etten minä ole mitään tarpeellista teiltä salannut, jota en minä ole teille ilmoittanut, ja olen teille opettanut julkisesti ja huone huoneelta,
how no [thing] I did shrink back of that being profitable not to declare to you and to teach you publicly and from house to house,
21 Todistain sekä Juudalaisille että Grekiläisille sitä kääntymystä, joka Jumalan tykö on, ja sitä uskoa, joka meidän Herran Jesuksen Kristuksen päälle on.
earnestly testifying to Jews both and to Greeks in (*k*) God repentance and faith (*k*) in the Lord of us Jesus (Christ. *KO*)
22 Ja nyt katso, minä sidottuna hengessä matkustan Jerusalemiin, enkä tiedä, mitä minulle siellä tapahtuman pitää:
And now behold bound I myself in the Spirit go to Jerusalem what in it will happen to me not knowing,
23 Vaan että Pyhä Henki jokaisessa kaupungissa tunnustaa ja sanoo siteet ja murheet minun edessäni olevan.
except that the Spirit Holy in every city fully testifies (to me *NO*) saying that chains and tribulations me await.
24 Mutta en minä siitä lukua pidä, enkä tottele paljon hengestäni: että minä juoksuni päättäisin ilolla ja sen viran, jonka minä olen Herralta Jesukselta saanut, todistaakseni evankeliumia Jumalan armosta.
But not of any (account *N(k)O*) I make (nor I have *K*) the life (of mine *k*) dear to myself, so as (to finish *NK(o)*) the course of mine (with joy *K*) and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify fully the gospel of the grace of God.
25 Ja nyt katso, minä tiedän, ettette silleen saa nähdä minun kasvojani, kaikki te, joiden kautta minä olen vaeltanut ja Jumalan valtakuntaa saarnannut.
And now behold I myself know that no longer no longer you will behold the face of me you yourselves all among whom I have gone about proclaiming the kingdom (of the God. *K*)
26 Sentähden minä todistan teille tänäpänä, että minä olen viatoin kaikkein verestä.
(therefore *N(k)O*) I testify to you in this day that innocent (I am *N(k)O*) of the blood of all;
27 Sillä en minä ole estänyt itsiäni ilmoittamasta teille kaikkea Jumalan neuvoa.
not for I shrunk back not [from] declaring all the counsel of God to you.
28 Niin ottakaat siis itsestänne vaari ja kaikesta laumasta, johon Pyhä Henki on teidät piispoiksi pannut, kaitsemaan Jumalan seurakuntaa, jonka hän omalla verellänsä ansainnut on.
do take heed (therefore *K*) to yourselves and to all the flock among which you the Spirit Holy has set overseers, to shepherd the church of the (Lord and *O*) God, which He purchased with blood the own.
29 Sillä minä tiedän minun lähtemiseni jälkeen tulevan teidän sekaanne hirmuiset sudet, jotka ei laumaa säästä.
I myself (for *k*) know (this *k*) that will come in after the departure of mine wolves grievous among you not sparing the flock,
30 Ja itse teistänne nousevat miehet, jotka vääryyttä puhuvat, vetääksensä pois opetuslapsia peräänsä.
and out from your own selves will rise up men speaking perverted [things] such that to draw away disciples after (them. *NK(o)*)
31 Sentähden valvokaat, muistain etten minä kolmena ajastaikana ole lakannut yöllä ja päivällä teitä kyyneleillä neuvomasta itsekutakin.
Therefore do watch remembering that three years night and day not I ceased with tears admonishing one each.
32 Ja nyt, rakkaat veljet, minä annan teidät Jumalan ja hänen armonsa sanan haltuun, joka väkevä on teitä rakentamaan ja antamaan teille perinnön kaikkein pyhitettyin seassa.
And now I commit you (brothers *K*) (to God *NK(O)*) and to the word of the grace of Him, who is being able (to build [it] *N(k)O*) and to give (to you *k*) (the *no*) inheritance among those sanctified all.
33 En minä ole yhdenkään hopiaa eikä kultaa eikä vaatteita pyytänyt.
Silver or gold or clothing of no [one] I coveted;
34 Vaan te itse tiedätte, että nämät kädet ovat minua tarpeissani ja niitä, jotka minun kanssani olivat, palvelleet.
You yourselves (now *k*) know that to the needs of me and to that [of those] being with me ministered to hands these.
35 Kaikki olen minä teille osoittanut, että niin pitää työtä tehtämän: heikkoja korjattaman ja muistettaman Herran Jesuksen sanoja, jotka hän sanoi: autuaampi on antaa kuin ottaa.
In everything I showed you that by thus straining it behooves [us] to aid those being weak, to remember and also the words of the Lord Jesus, how He Himself said; Blessed it is more to give than to receive.
36 Ja kuin hän nämät sanonut oli, lankesi hän polvillensa ja rukoili kaikkein heidän kanssansa.
And these things having said having bowed the knee of him with all them he prayed.
37 Ja suuri itku tuli heille kaikille ja lankesivat Paavalin kaulaan ja suuta antoivat hänen,
Much then weeping there was among all, and having fallen upon the neck of Paul they were kissing him,
38 Murehtien suuresti sen sanan tähden, jonka hän oli sanonut, ettei heidän pitänyt enempi hänen kasvojansa näkemän. Ja he saattivat häntä haahteen.
sorrowing especially over the word that he had spoken that no longer no longer they are about the face of him to see. They were accompanying then him to the ship.
