< Psalmowo 86 >
1 David ƒe gbedodoɖa. Ɖo tom, O Yehowa, eye nàtɔ nam, elabena meda ahe, eye hiã tum.
Yahweh, listen [IDM] to what I say and answer me, because I am weak and needy.
2 Kpɔ nye agbe ta, elabena metsɔ ɖokuinye na wò. Wòe nye nye Mawu, eya ta ɖe wò dɔla si ɖo dzi ɖe ŋuwò.
Prevent me from dying now, because I (am loyal to/continue to believe in) you; save/rescue me, because I serve you and I trust in you, my God.
3 O! Aƒetɔ, kpɔ nye nublanui, elabena mele yɔwòm ŋkeke blibo la.
Lord, be kind to me, because I cry out to you all during the day.
4 O! Aƒetɔ, tsɔ dzidzɔ vɛ na wò dɔla, elabena wòe medo nye luʋɔ ɖe dzi na.
Lord, cause me to be glad, because I (pray to/worship) [IDM] you.
5 O! Aƒetɔ, ènyo, eye nètsɔna kena, lɔlɔ̃ bɔ ɖe asiwò na ame siwo katã yɔa wò.
Lord, you are good [to us], and you forgive [us]; you faithfully love very much all those who (pray/call out) to you.
6 O! Yehowa, se nye gbedodoɖa, eye nàlé to ɖe nye nublanuiɣli ŋu.
Lord, listen to my prayer; hear me when I cry out to you to help me.
7 Le nye xaxagbe, mayɔ wò elabena àtɔ nam.
When I have troubles, I call out to you, because you answer me.
8 O! Aƒetɔ aɖeke megale mawuawo dome abe wò ene o; nuwɔna aɖeke mesɔ kple tɔwò o.
Lord, among all the gods [whom the heathen nations worship], there is no one like you; not one of them has done [the great things] that you have done.
9 O! Aƒetɔ, dukɔ siwo katã nèwɔ la ava asubɔ le ŋkuwò me, eye woatsɔ ŋutikɔkɔe ana wò ŋkɔ.
Lord, [some day, people from] all the nations that you have established will come and bow down in front of you and they will praise you [MTY].
10 Elabena èlolo, eye nèwɔ nu dzɔatsuwo; wò koe nye Mawu.
You are great, and you do wonderful/marvelous things; only you are God.
11 O! Yehowa, fia wò mɔm, eye mazɔ le wò nyateƒe la me; tsɔ dzi si to mɔ ɖeka la nam, ale be mavɔ̃ wò ŋkɔ.
Yahweh, teach me what you want me to do in order that I may conduct my life according to what you say, which is true. Cause/Teach me to revere you.
12 Makafu wò, O Aƒetɔ, nye Mawu, kple nye dzi blibo. Mado wò ŋkɔ ɖe dzi tegbee,
Lord, my God, I [will] thank you with all my inner being, and I will praise you forever.
13 elabena wò lɔlɔ̃ nam lolo ŋutɔ, eye nèɖem tso keke tsiẽƒe ʋĩi ke. (Sheol )
You faithfully love me very much; you have prevented me from [dying and going to] the place where dead people are. (Sheol )
14 O! Mawu, dadalawo tso ɖe ŋunye, ŋutasẽlawo ƒe ha ti nye agbe yome, eye wonye ŋutsu siwo mebu wò ɖe naneke me o.
But God, proud men are [trying to] attack me; a gang/group of cruel men are wanting to kill me; they are men who do not have any (respect for/interest in) you.
15 O! Aƒetɔ, ke wò la, Mawu si kpɔa nublanui, eye wòvea ame nu lae nènye, mèdoa dɔmedzoe kabakaba o, lɔlɔ̃ bɔ ɖe asiwò, eye nèwɔa nuteƒe.
But Lord, you always are mercifully and kind; you do not become angry quickly, you faithfully love us very much and always do for us what you have promised to do.
16 Trɔ ɖe ŋutinye, eye nàkpɔ nublanui nam; na wò ŋusẽ wò dɔla, eye nàɖe viwò ŋutsu nuteƒewɔla.
Look down toward me and be merciful to me; cause me to be strong and save/rescue me who serves you [faithfully] like my mother did.
17 Ɖe wò nyuiwɔwɔ ƒe dzesi fiam, be nye futɔwo nakpɔe, eye ŋu nakpe wo, elabena o Yehowa, wòe kpe ɖe ŋunye, eye nèfa akɔ nam.
Yahweh, do something to show me that you are being good to me in order that those who hate me will see that you have encouraged me and helped me, and as a result they will be ashamed.
