< Psalmowo 39 >

1 David ƒe ha na hɛnɔ Yedutun. Megblɔ be, “Malé ŋku ɖe nye mɔwo ŋu, akpɔ nye aɖe dzi be mawɔ nu vɔ̃ o, eye zi ale si ame vɔ̃ɖi la gale ŋkunye me la, made ga nye nu.”
For the Chief Musician. For Jeduthun. A Psalm by David. I said, “I will watch my ways, so that I don’t sin with my tongue. I will keep my mouth with a bridle while the wicked is before me.”
2 Gake esi mezi ɖoɖoe li kpoo, eye nyemele nya nyui aɖeke gblɔm o hã la, nye vevesese do ga ɖe edzi.
I was mute with silence. I held my peace, even from good. My sorrow was stirred.
3 Nye dzi xɔ dzo ɖe dɔ me nam; esi mele ŋugble dem la, exɔ dzo ɖe edzi; tete meƒo nu kple nye aɖe.
My heart was hot within me. While I meditated, the fire burned. I spoke with my tongue:
4 “O! Yehowa, fia nye agbe ƒe nuwuwu kple ŋkeke ale si manɔ agbee lam; eye na manya ale si nye agbe le du dzii.
“LORD, show me my end, what is the measure of my days. Let me know how frail I am.
5 Èwɔ nye ŋkekewo wole abe asi ƒe kekeme ko ene, eye nye agbenɔɣi menye naneke le ŋkuwò me o. Amegbetɔ ɖe sia ɖe ƒe agbe le abe ƒuƒu ko ene. (Sela)
Behold, you have made my days hand widths. My lifetime is as nothing before you. Surely every man stands as a breath.” (Selah)
6 “Amegbetɔ le yiyim, le gbɔgbɔm, ke vɔvɔli ko wònye. Ele agbagba dzem, gake wo katã nye nu dzodzro Eli kɔ kesinɔnuwo gleglegle, gake menya ame si ƒe asi me woayi ɖo o.
“Surely every man walks like a shadow. Surely they busy themselves in vain. He heaps up, and doesn’t know who shall gather.
7 “Aƒetɔ, ke azɔ la, nu ka makpɔ mɔ na? Nye mɔkpɔkpɔ le mewò.
Now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in you.
8 Ɖem tso nye vodadawo katã me, eye mègawɔm mazu alɔmeɖenu na yakamewo o.
Deliver me from all my transgressions. Don’t make me the reproach of the foolish.
9 Mezi ɖoɖoe, nyemake nu o, elabena wòe wɔ esia.
I was mute. I didn’t open my mouth, because you did it.
10 Ɖe wò tohehe si le dzinye la ɖa; wò asi va dzinye kple ŋusẽ ale metsi anyigba.
Remove your scourge away from me. I am overcome by the blow of your hand.
(Sela)
When you rebuke and correct man for iniquity, you consume his wealth like a moth. Surely every man is but a breath.” (Selah)
12 “O! Yehowa, se nye gbedodoɖa, nye ɣlidodo hena kpekpeɖeŋu nede to me na wò; mègado toku nye avifafa o. Amedzro kple mɔzɔla menye le gbɔwò abe ale si fofonyewo katã nɔ ene.
“Hear my prayer, LORD, and give ear to my cry. Don’t be silent at my tears. For I am a stranger with you, a foreigner, as all my fathers were.
13 Ɖe ŋku ɖa le ŋunye, ale be magakpɔ dzidzɔ hafi mayi, eye nyemaganɔ anyi o.”
Oh spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go away and exist no more.”
