1 Tete Hiob yi eƒe nuƒoa dzi be,
Job resumed speaking and he said,
2 “Meta Mawu si gbe afiatsotso nam la ƒe agbe kple Ŋusẽkatãtɔ, ame si do vevesese na nye luʋɔ be,
“As surely as God lives, who has taken away my justice, the Almighty, who made my life bitter,
3 zi ale si agbe le menye, Mawu ƒe gbɔgbɔ le nye ŋɔti me la,
while my life is yet in me, and the breath from God is in my nostrils, this is what I will do.
4 nye nuyi magblɔ nya vɔ̃ɖi o eye nye aɖe magblɔ beblenya aɖeke o.
My lips will not speak wickedness, neither will my tongue speak deceit;
5 Nyemalɔ̃ gbeɖe be tɔwò dzɔ o va se ɖe esi maku la, nyemasẽ nu le nye blibodede ŋu o.
I will never admit that you three are right; until I die I will never deny my integrity.
6 Malé nye dzɔdzɔenyenye me ɖe asi ɖaa eye nyemaɖe asi le eŋu akpɔ o. Zi ale si mele agbe la, nye dzitsinya mado vlom o.
I hold fast to my righteousness and will not let it go; my thoughts will not reproach me so long as I live.
7 “Nye futɔwo nenɔ abe ame vɔ̃ɖiwo ene eye nye ketɔwo abe ame madzɔmadzɔwo ene!
Let my enemy be like a wicked man; let him who rises up against me be like an unrighteous man.
8 Elabena mɔkpɔkpɔ kae le ame vlo si ne wolãe ɖa eye Mawu ɖe eƒe agbe ɖa?
For what is the hope of a godless man when God cuts him off, when God takes away his life?
9 Ɖe Mawu ase eƒe ɣlidodo, ne eɖo xaxa mea?
Will God hear his cry when trouble comes upon him?
10 Ɖe eƒe nu anyo Ŋusẽkatãtɔ la ŋua? Ɖe wòayɔ Mawu ɣe sia ɣia?
Will he delight himself in the Almighty and call upon God at all times?
11 “Mafia nu mi tso Mawu ƒe ŋusẽ ŋuti eye nyemaɣla Ŋusẽkatãtɔ la ƒe mɔwo ɖe mi o.
I will teach you concerning the hand of God; I will not conceal the thoughts of the Almighty.
12 Miawo ŋutɔ miekpɔ esiawo katã. Ekema nu kae nye nuƒo manyatalenu gbogbo siawo?
See, all of you have seen this yourselves; why then have you spoken all this nonsense?
13 “Esia nye gome si Mawu ɖo ɖi na ame vɔ̃ɖiwo kple domenyinyi si ŋutasẽla xɔna tso Ŋusẽkatãtɔ la gbɔ.
This is the portion of a wicked man with God, the heritage of the oppressor that he receives from the Almighty:
14 Aleke ke viawo sɔ gbɔe hã la, woɖo wo ɖi na yi eye eƒe dzidzimeviwo makpɔ nu aɖu aɖi ƒo akpɔ gbeɖe o.
If his children multiply, it is for the sword; his offspring will never have enough food.
15 Dɔvɔ̃ awu ame siwo susɔ nɛ eye woƒe ahosiwo mafa na wo o.
Those who survive him will be buried by plague, and their widows will make no lament for them.
16 Togbɔ be eli kɔ klosalo abe ke ene, wòdo agba avɔ wòkɔ abe to ene hã la,
Though the wicked man heaps up silver like the dust, and heaps up clothing like clay,
17 ame dzɔdzɔewo ado nu siwo wòli kɔe eye ame maɖifɔwo ama eƒe klosalo.
he may heap up clothing, but righteous people will put it on, and innocent people will divide up the silver among themselves.
18 Xɔ si wòtu la anɔ abe gbagblaʋui ƒe azi si wòƒo teti ko la ene eye wòanɔ abe zãɖialawo ƒe agbadɔ si wòwɔ la ene.
He builds his house like a spider, like a hut that a guard makes.
19 Emlɔ anyi abe hotsuitɔ ene gake esusɔ vie maganɔ nɛ nenema o elabena esi wòʋu eƒe ŋkuwo la, naneke megali o.
He lies down in bed rich, but he will not keep doing so; he opens his eyes, and everything is gone.
20 Ŋɔdzi ƒona ɖe edzi abe tɔɖɔɖɔ ene eye ahom kplɔnɛ dzonae le zã me.
Terrors overtake him like waters; a storm takes him away in the night.
21 Ɣedzeƒeya kɔe dzoe eye wòdzo, ale wòkplɔe ɖa le enɔƒe.
The east wind carries him away, and he leaves; it sweeps him out of his place.
22 Etsɔ eɖokui xlã ɖe edzi nublanuimakpɔmakpɔtɔe, esi wòsi le eƒe ŋusẽ nu afɔtsɔtsɔe.
It throws itself at him and does not stop; he tries to flee out of its hand.
23 Esi akpe ɖe eta fewuɖutɔe eye wònyae ɖa le enɔƒe.”
It claps its hands at him in mockery; it hisses him out of his place.
