Josuo 14

1 Kaj jen estas, kion la Izraelidoj ekposedis en la lando Kanaana, kaj kion posedigis al ili la pastro Eleazar, kaj Josuo, filo de Nun, kaj la familiestroj de la triboj de Izrael.

4 ĉar la idoj de Jozef estis du triboj, Manase kaj Efraim; kaj al la Levidoj oni ne donis parton en la lando, sed nur urbojn por loĝado, kune kun iliaj antaŭurboj por iliaj brutoj kaj por ilia havo.

but the sones of Joseph weren departid in to twei lynagis, of Manasses and of Effraym, and `weren eiris in to the place of hem. And `the Leuytis token noon other part in the lond, no but citees to dwelle, and the subarbis of tho to werke beestis and her scheep to be fed.

5 Kiel la Eternulo ordonis al Moseo, tiel faris la Izraelidoj kaj dividis la teron.

As the Lord comaundide to Moises, so the sones of Israel diden, and departiden the lond.

6 Kaj aliris la idoj de Jehuda al Josuo en Gilgal, kaj diris al li Kaleb, filo de Jefune, Kenizido: Vi scias tion, kion la Eternulo diris al Moseo, la homo de Dio, pri mi kaj pri vi en Kadeŝ-Barnea.

And so the sones of Juda neiyiden to Josue in Galgalis; and Caleph, the sone of Jephone, of Ceneth, spak to him, Thou knowist, what the Lord spak to Moises, the man of God, of me and of thee in Cades Barne.

7 Mi havis la aĝon de kvardek jaroj, kiam Moseo, servanto de la Eternulo, sendis min el Kadeŝ-Barnea, por esplorrigardi la landon; kaj mi alportis al li raporton laŭ mia konscienco.

Y was of fourti yeer, whanne Moises, `seruaunt of the Lord, sente me fro Cades Barne, that Y schulde biholde the lond, and Y teelde to hym that, that semyde soth to me.

8 Kaj miaj fratoj, kiuj iris kun mi, malkuraĝigis la koron de la popolo; sed mi obeis la Eternulon, mian Dion.

Forsothe my britheren, thats tieden with me, discoumfortiden the herte of the puple, and neuertheles Y suede my Lord God.

9 Kaj Moseo ĵuris en tiu tago, dirante: La tero, sur kiu paŝis via piedo, estos posedaĵo por vi kaj por viaj filoj eterne, ĉar vi obeis la Eternulon, mian Dion.

And Moises swoor in that dai, and seide, The lond, which thi foot trad, schal be thi possessioun, and of thi sones withouten ende; for thou suedist thi Lord God.

10 Kaj nun jen la Eternulo konservis min viva, kiel Li diris. Nun pasis kvardek kvin jaroj de tiu tempo, kiam la Eternulo diris tion al Moseo, dum Izrael iradis en la dezerto; kaj nun jen mi havas la aĝon de okdek kvin jaroj.

11 Ankoraŭ hodiaŭ mi estas tiel forta, kiel en la tago, kiam Moseo min sendis; kiom da forto mi tiam havis, tiom mi nun havas por la milito, por eliri kaj eniri.

and Y am as myyti, as Y was myyti in that time, whanne Y was sent to aspie; the strengthe `of that tyme dwellith stabli in me `til to dai, as wel to fiyte, as to go.

12 Donu do al mi nun ĉi tiun monton, pri kiu la Eternulo parolis en tiu tago; ĉar vi aŭdis en tiu tago, ke tie estas Anakidoj kaj grandaj kaj fortikigitaj urboj; eble la Eternulo estos kun mi kaj mi forpelos ilin, kiel diris la Eternulo.

Therfor yyue thou to me this hil, which the Lord bihiyte to me, while also thou herdist, in which hil ben Enachym, and grete `citees, and strengthid; if in hap the Lord is with me, and Y mai do hem awei, as he bihiyte to me.

13 Tiam Josuo benis lin, kaj donis Ĥebronon al Kaleb, filo de Jefune, kiel posedaĵon.

And Josue blesside hym, and yaf to hym Ebron in to possessioun.

14 Tial Ĥebron fariĝis posedaĵo de Kaleb, filo de Jefune, la Kenizido, ĝis la nuna tago; pro tio, ke li obeis la Eternulon, Dion de Izrael.

And fro that tyme Ebron was to Caleph, sone of Jephone, of Cenez, `til in to present dai; for he suede the Lord God of Israel.

15 Kaj la nomo de Ĥebron antaŭe estis urbo de Arba, granda homo inter la Anakidoj. Kaj la tero trankviliĝis de milito.

The name of Ebron was clepid bifore Cariatharbe. Adam, the gretteste, was set there in the lond of Enachym; and the lond ceesside fro batels.
