1 La trian tagon okazis edziĝo en Kana Galilea, kaj la patrino de Jesuo ĉeestis tie;
And on the third day there was a feast in Cana, a city of Galilee: and the mother of Jesus was there.
2 ankaŭ Jesuo kaj liaj disĉiploj estis invititaj al la edziĝo.
And also Jesus and his disciples were invited to the feast.
3 Kaj kiam mankis vino, la patrino de Jesuo diris al li: Ili ne havas vinon.
And the wine fell short: and his mother said to Jesus: They have no wine.
4 Kaj Jesuo diris al ŝi: Kio estas inter mi kaj vi, virino? mia horo ankoraŭ ne venis.
Jesus said to her: What is in common to me and thee? Not yet hath my hour come.
5 Lia patrino diris al la servantoj: Kion ajn li diros al vi, tion faru.
His mother said to the waiters: Whatever he saith to you, do it.
6 Kaj estis tie ses akvokuvoj ŝtonaj, metitaj laŭ la purigo de la Judoj, enhavantaj po du ĝis tri metretoj.
And there were there six waterpots of stone, set for the purification of Jews, containing each two or three quadrantalia.
7 Jesuo diris al ili: Plenigu la akvokuvojn per akvo. Kaj oni plenigis ilin ĝis la rando.
Jesus said to them: Fill those water-pots with water. And they filled them to the top.
8 Kaj li diris al ili: Ĉerpu nun, kaj alportu al la festenestro. Kaj oni alportis.
He said to them: Draw now, and carry to the master of the feast. And they carried.
9 Kiam la festenestro gustumis la akvon, nun fariĝintan vino, kaj ne sciis, de kie ĝi estas (sciis tamen la servantoj, kiuj ĉerpis la akvon), la festenestro alvokis la fianĉon,
And when the master of the feast tasted the water that had become wine, and did not know whence it came, (although the waiters knew, as they had filled the pots with water, ) the master of the feast called the bridegroom,
10 kaj diris al li: Ĉiu homo prezentas unue la bonan vinon, kaj kiam oni jam drinkis, tiam la malpli bonan; sed vi rezervis la bonan vinon ĝis nun.
and said to him: Every man first bringeth forward the good wine, and when they are satiated, then that which is inferior; but thou hast kept the good wine till now.
11 Ĉi tiun komencon de signoj Jesuo faris en Kana Galilea, kaj elmontris sian gloron, kaj liaj disĉiploj kredis al li.
This is the first sign, which Jesus wrought at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory: and his disciples believed on him.
12 Post tio li malsupreniris al Kapernaum, kaj kun li lia patrino kaj liaj fratoj kaj liaj disĉiploj; kaj tie ili restis ne multajn tagojn.
Afterwards he went down to Capernaum, he and his mother and his brothers and his disciples; and they were there a few days.
13 Kaj la Pasko de la Judoj alproksimiĝis, kaj Jesuo supreniris al Jerusalem.
And the pass over of the Jews drew near; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 Kaj li trovis en la templo vendistojn de bovoj kaj ŝafoj kaj kolomboj, kaj la monŝanĝistojn sidantajn;
And he found in the temple those who sold beeves and sheep and doves, and the money-changers sitting there.
15 kaj farinte skurĝon el ŝnuretoj, li elpelis ĉiujn el la templo, ŝafojn kaj bovojn; kaj elŝutis la monerojn de la monŝanĝistoj kaj renversis la tablojn;
And he made himself a whip from a cord, and turned them all out of the temple, and the sheep and the beeves and the money-changers; and he poured out their money, and overset their tables:
16 kaj al la vendistoj de la kolomboj li diris: Forportu tion de ĉi tie; ne faru la domon de mia Patro domo de komerco.
and he said to them that sold doves, Take away these things; and make not my Father's house a house of traffic.
17 La disĉiploj rememoris, ke estis skribite: Fervoro pri Via domo min konsumis.
And his disciples remembered, that it is written: The zeal of thy house hath devoured me.
18 La Judoj do respondis kaj diris al li: Kian signon vi montras al ni, ĉar vi faras tion?
But the Jews replied, and said to him: What sign showest thou to us, since thou doest these things?
19 Respondis Jesuo kaj diris al ili: Detruu ĉi tiun sanktejon, kaj mi levos ĝin en la daŭro de tri tagoj.
Jesus answered, and said to them: Demolish this temple, and in three days I will again erect it.
20 La Judoj diris: Kvardek ses jarojn ĉi tiu sanktejo estis konstruata; ĉu vi levos ĝin en la daŭro de tri tagoj?
The Jews said to him: Forty and six years, this temple was building; and wilt thou build it again in three days?
21 Sed li parolis pri la sanktejo de sia korpo.
But he spake of the temple of his body.
22 Kiam do li leviĝis el la mortintoj, la disĉiploj rememoris, ke li diris tion; kaj ili kredis la Skribon, kaj la vorton, kiun Jesuo diris.
And when he was arisen from the dead, his disciples remembered, that he spoke this: and they believed the scriptures, and the word that Jesus spake.
23 Kaj kiam li estis en Jerusalem ĉe la Pasko, dum la festo, multaj fidis al lia nomo, vidante la signojn, kiujn li faris.
And while Jesus was in Jerusalem, at the feast of the passover, many believed on him, because they saw the signs he wrought.
24 Sed Jesuo ne konfidis sin al ili, ĉar li konis ĉiujn,
But Jesus did not confide himself to them; because he knew all men:
25 kaj ne bezonis, ke iu atestu pri la homo, ĉar li mem sciis, kio estas en la homo.
And he needed not that any one should testify to him respecting any man; for he himself knew what is in man.
