Ecclesiastes 11
1 Send forth thy bread on the face of the waters, For in the multitude of the days thou dost find it.
১তুমি তোমাৰ আহাৰ পানীৰ ওপৰত পেলাই দিয়া; কিয়নো অনেক দিনৰ পাছত তাক পুনৰ ঘূৰাই পাবা।
2 Give a portion to seven, and even to eight, For thou knowest not what evil is on the earth.
২তোমাৰ কার্য সাধনৰ উপায়বোৰ, সাত বা আঠজনৰ সৈতে ভাগ বাঁটি লোৱা; কিয়নো পৃথিবীত কি দুর্যোগ ঘটিব, তাক তুমি নাজানা।
3 If the thick clouds are full of rain, On the earth they empty [themselves]; And if a tree doth fall in the south or to the north, The place where the tree falleth, there it is.
৩যেতিয়া মেঘবোৰ বৃষ্টিৰে পূৰ্ণ হৈ থাকে, তেতিয়া তাৰ পৰা পৃথিবীত বৰষুণ পৰে; গছ উত্তৰ বা দক্ষিণ যি দিশতেই পৰক, কিন্তু যি ঠাইত পৰে, সেই ঠাইতেই পৰি থাকে।
4 Whoso is observing the wind soweth not, And whoso is looking on the thick clouds reapeth not.
৪যি কোনোৱে বতাহক নিৰীক্ষণ কৰে, তেওঁ বীজ ৰোপন কৰিব নোৱাৰে, যি কোনোৱে বৰষুণক নিৰীক্ষণ কৰে, তেওঁ শস্য দাব নোৱাৰে।
5 As thou knowest not what [is] the way of the spirit, How — bones in the womb of the full one, So thou knowest not the work of God who maketh the whole.
৫বতাহ কোন দিশৰ পৰা বলিব, তুমি নাজানা; তুমি নাজানা মাতৃগর্ভত এটি শিশুৰ হাড়বোৰ কেনেকৈ বৃদ্ধি হয়; সেইদৰে যিজন সকলো বস্তুৰে সৃষ্টিকর্তা, সেই ঈশ্বৰৰ কার্যও তুমি বুজিব নোৱাৰা।
6 In the morning sow thy seed, And at even withdraw not thy hand, For thou knowest not which is right, this or that, Or whether both of them alike [are] good.
৬ৰাতিপুৱা তুমি তোমাৰ বীজ ৰোপন কৰিবা, আৰু গধূলি পৰত তোমাৰ হাতক কর্মহীন নকৰিবা; কিয়নো পুৱা বা গধূলি কৰা কোনটো কার্যত তুমি সফল হ’বা, তুমি নাজানা; এই কার্যত নে সেই কার্যত, অথবা দুয়োটাই একে সমানেই ভাল হ’ব, তাক নাজানা।
7 Sweet also [is] the light, And good for the eyes to see the sun.
৭স্বৰূপেই পোহৰ সুন্দৰ আৰু চকুৰ বাবে সূৰ্যক দেখা পোৱা এক সন্তোষজনক বিষয়
8 But, if man liveth many years, In all of them let him rejoice, And remember the days of darkness, For they are many! all that is coming [is] vanity.
৮কোনো মানুহ যদি অনেক বছৰ জীয়াই থাকে, তেন্তে তেওঁ যেন নিজৰ সেই দিনবোৰত আনন্দ উপভোগ কৰে; কিন্তু অন্ধকাৰৰ আগন্তুক দিনবোৰৰ কথাও যেন তেওঁ মনত ৰাখে; কিয়নো সেই দিনবোৰ হ’ব অনেক। যি যি ঘটিব সেই সকলোৱেই অস্থায়ী, অসাৰ।
9 Rejoice, O young man, in thy childhood, And let thy heart gladden thee in days of thy youth, And walk in the ways of thy heart, And in the sight of thine eyes, And know thou that for all these, Doth God bring thee into judgment.
৯হে যুবক, তুমি তোমাৰ যৌৱনকালত আনন্দ কৰা; যুবা বয়সৰ দিনবোৰত তোমাৰ হৃদয়ে তোমাক আনন্দিত কৰক; তুমি তোমাৰ হৃদয়ৰ সৎ ইচ্ছাবোৰৰ পথত চলিবা আৰু নিজ চকুৰ দৃষ্টিত যি ভাল তাকে কৰিবা। কিন্তু জানিবা যে, ঈশ্বৰে এই সকলো বিষয়ৰ কাৰণে তোমাক বিচাৰৰ ঠাইলৈ আনিব।
10 And turn aside anger from thy heart, And cause evil to pass from thy flesh, For the childhood and the age [are] vanity!
১০এই হেতুকে তোমাৰ হৃদয়ৰ পৰা ক্রোধ দূৰ কৰা; তোমাৰ শৰীৰৰ কষ্টলৈ মনোযোগ নিদিবা; কিয়নো যৌৱন আৰু যুবা কালৰ শক্তি ভাপ-স্বৰূপ।
