Proverbs 1
1 Proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel:
১দায়ূদৰ পুত্র চলোমন, ইস্রায়েলৰ ৰজা আছিল। চলোমনৰ নীতিবচন।
2 For knowing wisdom and instruction, For understanding sayings of intelligence,
২প্রজ্ঞা আৰু শিক্ষা লাভ কৰিবলৈ, সূক্ষ্মদৃষ্টিৰে বাক্য শিকোৱা,
3 For receiving the instruction of wisdom, Righteousness, judgment, and uprightness,
৩সংশোধন গ্রহণ কৰা, তেতিয়া তুমি সত্য, ন্যায়পৰায়ণ, আৰু যথাৰ্থতাত জীয়াই থাকিব পাৰিবা।
4 For giving to simple ones — prudence, To a youth — knowledge and discretion.
৪যিসকলক শিক্ষা দিয়া হোৱা নাই, তেওঁলোকক প্রজ্ঞা দান কৰা; আৰু যুৱক সকলক জ্ঞান আৰু বিবেচনা দিয়া।
5 (The wise doth hear and increaseth learning, And the intelligent doth obtain counsels.)
৫জ্ঞানীলোকক শুনিবলৈ দিয়া আৰু তেওঁলোকক শিক্ষাত বৃদ্ধি হ’বলৈ দিয়া। আৰু তীক্ষ্নবুদ্ধি সম্পন্ন লোকক পথপ্রদৰ্শন কৰা;
6 For understanding a proverb and its sweetness, Words of the wise and their acute sayings.
৬যাতে নীতিবচন আৰু বাণী, জ্ঞানীলোকৰ বাক্য আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ নিগূঢ়তত্ব বুজিব পাৰে।
7 Fear of Jehovah [is] a beginning of knowledge, Wisdom and instruction fools have despised!
৭যিহোৱালৈ ভয় ৰখাই জ্ঞানৰ আৰম্ভণ, অজ্ঞানীলোকে প্রজ্ঞা আৰু অনুশাসন হেয়জ্ঞান কৰে।
8 Hear, my son, the instruction of thy father, And leave not the law of thy mother,
৮হে মোৰ পুত্র, তুমি তোমাৰ পিতৃৰ আদেশ শুনা, আৰু তোমাৰ মাতৃৰ শাসন অৱজ্ঞা নকৰিবা;
9 For a graceful wreath [are] they to thy head, And chains to thy neck.
৯তেওঁলোক তোমাৰ মুৰৰ বাবে কৰুণাময় মালাৰ দৰে হ’ব, আৰু তোমাৰ ডিঙিত ওলমি থকা মালাৰ লকেটৰ দৰে হ’ব।
10 My son, if sinners entice thee be not willing.
১০হে মোৰ পুত্র, পাপীলোকে যদি তোমাক তেওঁলোকৰ পাপ কাৰ্যত প্রলোভিত কৰে, তেওঁলোকক অনুসৰণ নকৰিবা।
11 If they say, 'Come with us, we lay wait for blood, We watch secretly for the innocent without cause,
১১তেওঁলোকে যদি কয়, “আমাৰ লগত আহাঁ, আমি ৰক্তপাত কৰিবলৈ খাপ দি থাকোঁ; বিনা কাৰণে নিৰ্দ্দোষী লোকক আক্রমণ কৰিবলৈ লুকাই থাকোঁহক।
১২আহাঁ আমি চিয়োলৰ দৰে স্বাস্থ্যৱান লোকসকলক জীয়াই জীয়াই গিলি পেলাওঁ, আৰু তেওঁলোকক গাতত পৰি থকা লোকৰ দৰে কৰোঁহক। (Sheol h7585)
13 Every precious substance we find, We fill our houses [with] spoil,
১৩আমি সকলো বিধৰ বহুমুল্য বস্তু বিচাৰিম, আৰু অন্য লোকৰ পৰা লুট কৰা বস্তুৰে আমাৰ ঘৰবোৰ পৰিপূৰ্ণ কৰিম।
14 Thy lot thou dost cast among us, One purse is — to all of us.'
১৪তোমাৰ লুট কৰা বস্তু আমাৰ সৈতে একেলগ কৰা, আমাৰ সকলোৰে এখনেই মোনা হ’ব।”
15 My son! go not in the way with them, Withhold thy foot from their path,
১৫হে মোৰ পুত্র, তেওঁলোকৰ পথত তুমি নাযাবা; তেওঁলোকৰ পথত তোমাৰ খোজ নিদিবা।
16 For their feet to evil do run, And they haste to shed blood.
১৬তেওঁলোকৰ খোজ কুকৰ্মৰ ফাললৈ লৰ মাৰে; আৰু তেওঁলোকে ৰক্তপাত কৰিবলৈ খৰধৰ কৰে।
17 Surely in vain is the net spread out before the eyes of any bird.
১৭যি সময়ত চৰাইয়ে চাই থাকে; সেই সময়ত চৰাই ধৰিবলৈ জাল পতা বৃথা।
18 And they for their own blood lay wait, They watch secretly for their own lives.
১৮সেই লোকসকলে নিজকে নিজেই ৰক্তপাত কৰিবলৈ খাপ দি থাকে; তেওঁলোকে নিজেই নিজৰ বাবে ফাঁন্দ পাতে।
19 So [are] the paths of every gainer of dishonest gain, The life of its owners it taketh.
১৯সেয়ে অন্যায়ভাৱে ধনী হোৱা প্রতিজন লোকৰ এনে গতি হয়; অন্যায়কাৰীয়ে ন্যায়ত থকা লোকসকলৰ জীৱন লয়।
20 Wisdom in an out-place crieth aloud, In broad places she giveth forth her voice,
২০প্রজ্ঞাই পথত চিঞৰি ক্রন্দন কৰে, তেওঁ মুকলি ঠাইত উচ্চস্বৰে কথা কয়।
21 At the head of the multitudes she calleth, In the openings of the gates, In the city her sayings she saith:
২১তেওঁ কোলাহলপূৰ্ণ ঘাই পথত ক্রন্দন কৰে, নগৰৰ প্রবেশ দুৱাৰত তেওঁ কয়,
22 'Till when, ye simple, do ye love simplicity? And have scorners their scorning desired? And do fools hate knowledge?
২২“হে প্রজ্ঞা নথকা লোকসকল, কিমান দিন তোমালোকে নুবুজা কথাবোৰ ভাল পাই থাকিবা? হে নিন্দকসকল কিমান দিন তোমালোকে নিন্দা কৰি সন্তুষ্ট হবা? আৰু হে অজ্ঞানীসকল কিমান দিন জ্ঞানক ঘিণ কৰিবা?
23 Turn back at my reproof, lo, I pour forth to you my spirit, I make known my words with you.
২৩মোৰ অনুযোগলৈ মনোযোগ দিয়া; মই তোমালোকৰ ওপৰত মোৰ চিন্তাধাৰা বাকি দিম, মই মোৰ কথা তোমালোকক জানিবলৈ দিম।
24 Because I have called, and ye refuse, I stretched out my hand, and none is attending,
২৪মই মাতিলোঁ, আৰু তোমালোকে শুনিবলৈ অমান্তি হলা; মই মোৰ হাত মেলিলোঁ, কিন্তু কোনেও মনযোগ নিদিলা।
25 And ye slight all my counsel, And my reproof ye have not desired.
২৫কিন্তু তোমালোকে মোৰ সকলো পৰামৰ্শ উপেক্ষা কৰিলা; আৰু মোৰ দোষাৰোপলৈ মনোযোগ নিদিলা।
26 I also in your calamity do laugh, I deride when your fear cometh,
২৬তোমালোকৰ দুৰ্যোগৰ সময়ত মই হাঁহিম, আৰু যেতিয়া তোমালোকলৈ সন্ত্রাস আহিব, তেতিয়া মই ঠাট্টা কৰিম।
27 When your fear cometh as destruction, And your calamity as a hurricane doth come, When on you come adversity and distress.
২৭যেতিয়া সন্ত্রাস ভয়ঙ্কৰ ধুমুহাৰ দৰে তোমালোকলৈ আহিব, আৰু বা’মাৰলিৰ দৰে তোমালোকৰ ওপৰত দুৰ্যোগ ঘটিব, যেতিয়া বেদনা আৰু ক্লেশ তোমালোকৰ ওপৰলৈ আহিব,
28 Then they call me, and I do not answer, They seek me earnestly, and find me not.
২৮তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে মোৰ ওচৰত প্রাৰ্থনা কৰিব, কিন্তু মই উত্তৰ নিদিম, তেওঁলোকে নিদাৰুণভাবে মোক মাতিব, কিন্তু তেওঁলোকে মোক বিচাৰি নাপাব;
29 Because that they have hated knowledge, And the fear of Jehovah have not chosen.
২৯কাৰণ তেওঁলোকে জ্ঞানক ঘিণ কৰে, আৰু যিহোৱাক তেওঁলোকে ভয় কৰিবলৈ ইচ্ছা নকৰে।
30 They have not consented to my counsel, They have despised all my reproof,
৩০তেওঁলোকে মোৰ আদেশ অনুসৰণ নকৰে, আৰু তেওঁলোকে মোৰ সকলো শাসন প্রণালী হেয়জ্ঞান কৰে।
31 And they eat of the fruit of their way, And from their own counsels they are filled.
৩১তেওঁলোকে তেওঁলোকৰ পথৰ ফল ভোগ কৰিব, তেওঁলোকে নিজৰ পৰিকল্পনাৰ ফলেৰে পৰিপূৰ্ণ হ’ব।
32 For the turning of the simple slayeth them, And the security of the foolish destroyeth them.
৩২অশিক্ষিত সেই লোকসকল যেতিয়া বিপথে যায়, তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকৰ মৃত্যু হয়। মূৰ্খৰ নিৰপেক্ষতাই তেওঁলোকক ধ্বংস কৰিব।
33 And whoso is hearkening to me dwelleth confidently, And [is] quiet from fear of evil!'
৩৩কিন্তু যি জনে মোৰ কথা শুনে, তেওঁ নিৰাপদে থাকিব, আৰু দুৰ্যোগৰ ভয় নোহোৱাকৈ সুৰক্ষিত হৈ জিৰণী ল’ব।”
