Titus 2
1 But speke thou tho thingis that bisemen hoolsum teching;
Tú, empero, enseña lo que es conforme a la sana doctrina:
2 that elde men be sobre, chast, prudent, hool in feith, in loue, and pacience;
que los ancianos sean sobrios, graves, prudentes, sanos en la fe, en la caridad, en la paciencia;
3 also olde wymmen in hooli abite, not sclaundereris, not seruynge myche to wyn, wel techynge, that thei teche prudence.
que las ancianas asimismo sean de porte venerable, no calumniadoras, no esclavas de mucho vino, maestras en el bien,
4 Moneste thou yonge wymmen, that thei loue here hosebondis, that thei loue her children;
para que enseñen a las jóvenes a ser amantes de sus maridos y de sus hijos, prudentes,
5 and that thei be prudent, chast, sobre, hauynge cure of the hous, benygne, suget to her hosebondis, that the word of God be not blasfemyd.
castas, hacendosas, bondadosas, sumisas a sus maridos, para que no sea blasfemada la Palabra de Dios.
6 Also moneste thou yonge men, that thei be sobre.
Exhorta igualmente a los jóvenes para que sean prudentes.
7 In alle thingis yyue thi silf ensaumple of good werkis, in teching, in hoolnesse, in sadnesse.
En todo muéstrate como ejemplo de buenas obras. En la enseñanza ( muestra ) incorrupción de doctrina, dignidad,
8 An hoolsum word, and vnrepreuable; that he that is of the contrarie side, be aschamed, hauynge noon yuel thing to seie of you.
palabra sana, intachable, para que el adversario se avergüence, no teniendo nada malo que decir de nosotros.
9 Moneste thou seruauntis to be suget to her lordis; in alle thingis plesinge, not ayenseiynge, not defraudynge,
( Exhorta ) a los siervos a que obedezcan en todo a sus amos, agradándoles y no contradiciéndoles,
10 but in alle thingis schewinge good feith, that thei onoure in alle thingis the doctryn of `God, oure sauyour.
que no los defrauden, antes bien muestren toda buena fe, a fin de que acrediten en todo la doctrina de Dios nuestro Salvador.
11 For the grace of `God, oure sauyour, hath apperid to alle men,
Porque se ha manifestado la gracia salvadora de Dios a todos los hombres,
12 and tauyte vs, that we forsake wickidnesse, and worldli desyris, lyue sobreli, and iustli, `and piteuousli in this world, (aiōn g165)
la cual nos ha instruido para que renunciando a la impiedad y a los deseos mundanos vivamos sobria, justa y piadosamente en este siglo actual, (aiōn g165)
13 abidinge the blessid hope and the comyng of the glorie of the greet God, and of oure sauyour Jhesu Crist;
aguardando la dichosa esperanza y la aparición de la gloria del gran Dios y Salvador nuestro Jesucristo;
14 that yaf hym silf for vs, to ayenbie vs fro al wickidnesse, and make clene to hym silf a puple acceptable, and suere of good werkis.
el cual se entregó por nosotros a fin de redimirnos de toda iniquidad y purificar para sí un pueblo peculiar suyo, fervoroso en buenas obras.
15 Speke thou these thingis, and moneste thou, and repreue thou with al comaundement; no man dispise thee.
Esto es lo que has de enseñar. Exhorta y reprende con toda autoridad. Que nadie te menosprecie.
