Psalms 7
1 For the ignoraunce of Dauid, which he songe to the Lord on the wordis of Ethiopien, the sone of Gemyny. Mi Lord God, Y haue hopid in thee; make thou me saaf fro alle that pursuen me, and delyuere thou me.
| مزمور داوود، که به سبب سخنان کوش بنیامینی برای خداوند سرایید. ای خداوند، خدای من، به تو پناه می‌آورم؛ مرا از دست تعقیب‌کنندگانم نجات ده، |
2 Lest ony tyme he as a lioun rauysche my soule; the while noon is that ayenbieth, nether that makith saaf.
| و گرنه آنها همچون شیر مرا می‌درند و تکه‌تکه می‌کنند بدون آنکه کسی بتواند به نجاتم بشتابد. |
3 Mi Lord God, if Y dide this thing, if wickidnesse is in myn hondis;
| ای خداوند، خدای من، اگر به کسی ظلم کرده‌ام، |
4 if Y `yeldide to men yeldynge to me yuels, falle Y `bi disseruyng voide fro myn enemyes;
| اگر خوبی را با بدی تلافی نموده‌ام و یا به ناحق دشمن خود را غارت کرده‌ام، |
5 myn enemy pursue my soule, and take, and defoule my lijf in erthe; and brynge my glorie in to dust.
| آنگاه بگذار دشمن مرا تعقیب نموده، به دام اندازد و زندگی‌ام را تباه سازد. |
6 Lord, rise thou vp in thin ire; and be thou reysid in the coostis of myn enemyes.
| ای خداوند، برخیز و با غضبت در مقابل خشم دشمنانم بایست! ای خدای من، برخیز و عدالت را برقرار نما. |
7 And, my Lord God, rise thou in the comaundement, which thou `hast comaundid; and the synagoge of puplis schal cumpasse thee.
| همهٔ قومها را نزد خود جمع کن و از بالا بر ایشان داوری فرما. |
8 And for this go thou ayen an hiy; the Lord demeth puplis. Lord, deme thou me bi my riytfulnesse; and bi myn innocence on me.
| ای خداوند که داور همهٔ مردم هستی، پاکی و بی‌گناهی مرا ببین و حکم بده. |
9 The wickidnesse of synneris be endid; and thou, God, sekyng the hertis and reynes, schalt dresse a iust man.
| ای خدای عادل که از افکار و دلهای ما باخبری، بدیها را از بین ببر و نیکان را استوار ساز. |
10 Mi iust help is of the Lord; that makith saaf riytful men in herte.
| خدا سپر من است و از من محافظت می‌کند. او کسانی را که دلشان پاک و راست است، نجات می‌بخشد. |
11 The Lord is a iust iuge, stronge and pacient; whether he is wrooth bi alle daies?
| خدا داور عادل است. او هر روز بر بدکاران خشمگین می‌شود. |
12 If ye ben `not conuertid, he schal florische his swerd; he hath bent his bouwe, and made it redi.
| اگر آنها به سوی خدا بازگشت نکنند، او شمشیرش را تیز خواهد کرد. خدا کمان خود را کشیده و آماده کرده است. |
13 And therynne he hath maad redi the vessels of deth; he hath fulli maad his arewis with brennynge thingis.
| او سلاحهای مرگبار و تیرهای آتشین خود را به دست گرفته است. |
14 Lo! he conseyuede sorewe; he peynfuli brouyte forth vnriytfulnesse, and childide wickidnesse.
| وجود اشخاص گناهکار پر از شرارت و ظلم است و اعمالشان نادرست. |
15 He openide a lake, and diggide it out; and he felde in to the dich which he made.
| آنها برای دیگران چاه می‌کنند، اما خود در آن می‌افتند |
16 His sorewe schal be turned in to his heed; and his wickidnesse schal come doun in to his necke.
| و در دام بداندیشی و ظلم خود گرفتار می‌شوند. |
17 I schal knouleche to the Lord bi his riytfulnesse; and Y schal synge to the name of the hiyeste Lord.
| خداوند را به خاطر عدالتش می‌ستایم و در وصف او که متعال است می‌سرایم. |
