Psalms 141

1 `The salm `of Dauith. Lord, Y criede to thee, here thou me; yyue thou tent to my vois, whanne Y schal crye to thee.

مزمور داوود. ای خداوند، تو را به یاری می‌طلبم، پس نزد من بشتاب! وقتی فریاد برمی‌آورم و کمک می‌خواهم، صدای مرا بشنو!

2 Mi preier be dressid as encense in thi siyt; the reisyng of myn hondis be as the euentid sacrifice.

بگذار دعای من مانند بخور در حضورت پذیرفته شود، و برافراشتن دستهایم به سوی تو، همچون قربانی شامگاهی باشد.

3 Lord, sette thou a keping to my mouth; and a dore of stonding aboute to my lippis.

ای خداوند، تو مراقب سخنان من باش و زبانم را نگاه دار.

4 Bowe thou not myn herte in to wordis of malice; to excuse excusingis in synne. With men worchinge wickidnesse; and Y schal not comyne with the chosun men of hem.

هر نوع تمایل بد را از من دور کن، مبادا با مردان بدکار مرتکب اعمال زشت شوم و در بزم آنها شرکت کنم.

5 A iust man schal repreue me in mersi, and schal blame me; but the oile of a synner make not fat myn heed. For whi and yit my preier is in the wel plesaunt thingis of hem;

بگذار مرد عادل مرا بزند که لطفی در حق من خواهد بود؛ بگذار مرا تأدیب و تنبیه کند که برایم افتخار خواهد بود و از آن اِبا نخواهم کرد. اما با بدکاران مخالفت خواهم کرد و دعا خواهم کرد که به سزای اعمالشان برسند.

6 for the domesmen of hem ioyned to the stoon weren sopun vp. Here thei my wordis,

وقتی رهبران این بدکاران از صخره‌ها به پایین پرتاب شوند، آنگاه سخنان مرا خواهند شنید و خواهند فهمید که درست است.

7 for tho weren myyti. As fatnesse is brokun out on the erthe; oure bonys ben scatered niy helle. Lord, Lord, (Sheol h7585)

استخوانهایشان مانند سنگهایی که در اثر خیش زدن پخش می‌شوند، به هر سو پراکنده خواهند شد. (Sheol h7585)

8 for myn iyen ben to thee, Y hopide in thee; take thou not awei my soule.

ای خداوند، از تو انتظار کمک دارم. تو پناهگاه من هستی. نگذار بدکاران مرا از بین ببرند.

9 Kepe thou me fro the snare which thei ordeyneden to me; and fro the sclaundris of hem that worchen wickidnesse. Synneris schulen falle in the nett therof;

مرا از دام و تلهٔ شروران برهان.

10 Y am aloone til Y passe.

بگذار من جان به در برم، اما آنان در دام خود گرفتار شوند.
