Ephesians 5
1 Therfor be ye foloweris of God, as moost dereworthe sones;
Kwa hiyo, mfuateni Mungu kama watoto wapendwao,
2 and walke ye in loue, as Crist louyde vs, and yaf hym silf for vs an offryng and a sacrifice to God, in to the odour of swetnesse.
mkiishi maisha ya upendo, kama vile Kristo alivyotupenda sisi akajitoa kwa ajili yetu kuwa sadaka yenye harufu nzuri na dhabihu kwa Mungu.
3 And fornycacioun, and al vnclennesse, or aueryce, be not named among you, as it bicometh holi men;
Lakini uasherati, usitajwe miongoni mwenu, wala uchafu wa aina yoyote, wala tamaa, kwa sababu mambo haya hayastahili miongoni mwa watakatifu.
4 ethir filthe, or foli speche, or harlatrye, that perteyneth not to profit, but more doyng of thankyngis.
Wala pasiwepo mazungumzo machafu ya aibu, au maneno ya upuzi au mzaha, ambayo hayafai, badala yake mshukuruni Mungu.
5 For wite ye this, and vndurstonde, that ech letchour, or vnclene man, or coueytouse, that serueth to mawmetis, hath not eritage in the kingdom of Crist and of God.
Kwa habari ya mambo haya mjue hakika kwamba: Msherati, wala mtu mwovu, wala mwenye tamaa mbaya, mtu kama huyo ni mwabudu sanamu, kamwe hataurithi Ufalme wa Kristo na wa Mungu.
6 No man disseyue you bi veyn wordis; for whi for these thingis the wraththe of God cam on the sones of vnbileue.
Mtu yeyote na asiwadanganye kwa maneno matupu, kwa kuwa hasira ya Mungu huwaka kwa sababu ya mambo kama haya juu ya wale wasiomtii.
7 Therfor nyle ye be maad parteneris of hem.
Kwa hiyo, msishirikiane nao.
8 For ye weren sum tyme derknessis, but now `ye ben liyt in the Lord. Walke ye as the sones of liyt.
Kwa maana zamani ninyi mlikuwa giza, lakini sasa ninyi ni nuru katika Bwana. Enendeni kama watoto wa nuru
9 For the fruyt of liyt is in al goodnesse, and riytwisnesse, and treuthe.
(kwa kuwa tunda la nuru hupatikana katika wema wote, haki na kweli),
10 And preue ye what `thing is wel plesynge to God.
nanyi tafuteni yale yanayompendeza Bwana.
11 And nyle ye comyne to vnfruytouse werkis of derknessis; but more repreue ye.
Msishiriki matendo ya giza yasiyofaa, bali yafichueni.
12 For what thingis ben don of hem in priuy, it is foule, yhe, to speke.
Kwa maana ni aibu hata kutaja mambo yale ambayo wasiotii wanayafanya sirini.
13 And alle thingis that ben repreuyd of the liyt, ben opynli schewid; for al thing that is schewid, is liyt.
Lakini kila kitu kilichowekwa nuruni, huonekana,
14 For which thing he seith, Rise thou that slepist, and rise vp fro deth, and Crist schal liytne thee.
kwa kuwa nuru ndiyo hufanya kila kitu kionekane. Hii ndiyo sababu imesemekana: “Amka, wewe uliyelala, ufufuke kutoka kwa wafu, naye Kristo atakuangazia.”
15 Therfor, britheren, se ye, hou warli ye schulen go;
Kwa hiyo angalieni sana jinsi mnavyoenenda, si kama watu wasio na hekima, bali kama wenye hekima,
16 not as vnwise men, but as wise men, ayenbiynge tyme, for the daies ben yuele.
mkiukomboa wakati, kwa sababu nyakati hizi ni za uovu.
17 Therfor nyle ye be maad vnwise, but vndurstondynge which is the wille of God.
Kwa hiyo msiwe wajinga, bali mpate kujua nini mapenzi ya Bwana.
18 And nyle ye be drunkun of wyn, in which is letcherie, but be ye fillid with the Hooli Goost; and speke ye to you silf in salmes,
Pia msilewe kwa mvinyo, ambamo ndani yake mna upotovu, bali mjazwe Roho.
19 and ymnes, and spiritual songis, syngynge and seiynge salm in youre hertis to the Lord;
Msemezane ninyi kwa ninyi kwa zaburi, nyimbo na tenzi za rohoni, mkimwimbia na kumsifu Bwana mioyoni mwenu,
20 euermore doynge thankingis for alle thingis in the name of oure Lord Jhesu Crist to God and to the fadir.
siku zote mkimshukuru Mungu Baba kwa kila jambo katika Jina la Bwana wetu Yesu Kristo.
21 Be ye suget togidere in the drede of Crist.
Nyenyekeaneni ninyi kwa ninyi kwa heshima kwa ajili ya Kristo.
22 Wymmen, be thei suget to her hosebondis,
Ninyi wake, watiini waume zenu kama kumtii Bwana.
23 as to the Lord, for the man is heed of the wymman, as Crist is heed of the chirche; he is sauyour of his bodi.
Kwa maana mume ni kichwa cha mkewe kama vile Kristo alivyo kichwa cha Kanisa, ambalo ni mwili wake, naye Kristo ni Mwokozi wake.
24 But as the chirche is suget to Crist, so wymmen to her hosebondis in alle thingis.
Basi, kama vile Kanisa linavyomtii Kristo, vivyo hivyo na wake nao imewapasa kuwatii waume zao kwa kila jambo.
25 Men, loue ye youre wyues, as Crist louyde the chirche, and yaf hym silf for it, to make it holi;
Ninyi waume, wapendeni wake zenu, kama vile Kristo alivyolipenda Kanisa akajitoa kwa ajili yake
26 and clenside it with the waisching of watir, in the word of lijf,
kusudi alifanye takatifu, akilitakasa kwa kuliosha kwa maji katika Neno lake,
27 to yyue the chirche gloriouse to hym silf, that it hadde no wem, ne ryueling, or ony siche thing, but that it be hooli and vndefoulid.
apate kujiletea Kanisa tukufu lisilo na doa wala kunyanzi au waa lolote, bali takatifu na lisilo na hatia.
28 So and men `schulen loue her wyues, as her owne bodies. He that loueth his wijf, loueth hym silf;
Vivyo hivyo imewapasa waume kuwapenda wake zao kama miili yao wenyewe. Ampendaye mkewe hujipenda mwenyewe.
29 for no man hatide euere his owne fleisch, but nurischith and fostrith it, as Crist doith the chirche.
Hakuna mtu anayeuchukia mwili wake mwenyewe, bali huulisha na kuutunza vizuri, kama Kristo anavyolitunza Kanisa lake.
30 And we ben membris of his bodi, of his fleisch, and of his boonys.
Sisi tu viungo vya mwili wake.
31 For this thing a man schal forsake his fadir and modir, and he schal drawe to his wijf; and thei schulen be tweyne in o fleisch.
“Kwa sababu hii, mwanaume atamwacha baba yake na mama yake, naye ataambatana na mkewe, na hao wawili watakuwa mwili mmoja.”
32 This sacrament is greet; yhe, Y seie in Crist, and in the chirche.
Siri hii ni kubwa, bali mimi nanena kuhusu Kristo na Kanisa.
33 Netheles ye alle, ech man loue his wijf as hym silf; and the wijf drede hir hosebonde.
Hata hivyo, kila mmoja wenu ampende mkewe kama anavyoipenda nafsi yake mwenyewe, naye mke lazima amheshimu mumewe.
