1 Corinthians 1
1 Poul, clepid apostle of Jhesu Crist, bi the wille of God, and Sostenes, brothir, to the chirche of God that is at Corynthe,
Pavel poklican apostelj Jezusa Kristusa po volji Božjej in Sosten brat,
2 to hem that ben halewid in Crist Jhesu, and clepid seyntis, with alle that inwardli clepen the name of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, in ech place of hem and of oure,
Cerkvi Božjej v Korintu, posvečenim v Kristusu Jezusu, poklicanim svetim z vsemi, kteri kličejo ime Gospoda našega Jezusa Kristusa na vsakem mestu, svojem in našem.
3 grace to you and pees of God, oure fadir, and of the Lord Jhesu Crist.
Milost vam in mir od Boga očeta našega in Gospoda Jezusa Kristusa.
4 Y do thankyngis to my God eueremore for you, in the grace of God that is youun to you in Crist Jhesu.
Zahvaljujem se pa Bogu svojemu vsegdar za vas, za milost Božjo dano vam v Kristusu Jezusu,
5 For in alle thingis ye ben maad riche in hym, in ech word, and in ech kunnyng,
Da ste v vsem obogateli v njem, v vsakej besedi in v vsakem umenji,
6 as the witnessyng of Crist is confermyd in you;
Kakor se je pričevanje Kristusovo utrdilo med vami,
7 so that no thing faile to you in ony grace, that abiden the schewyng of oure Lord Jhesu Crist;
Tako da ne zmanjkuje nobenega dara vam čakajočim odkritja Gospoda našega Jezusa Kristusa,
8 which also schal conferme you in to the ende with outen cryme, in the dai of the comyng of oure Lord Jhesu Crist.
Kteri vas bo tudi utrdil do kraja, da boste nekrivični na dan Gospoda našega Jezusa Kristusa.
9 `A trewe God, bi whom ye ben clepid in to the felouschipe of his sone Jhesu Crist oure Lord.
Zvest je Bog, po kterem ste poklicani na občinstvo sina njegovega Jezusa Kristusa Gospoda našega.
10 But, britheren, Y biseche you, bi the name of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, that ye alle seie the same thing, and that dissenciouns be not among you; but be ye perfit in the same wit, and in the same kunnyng.
Opominjam vas pa, bratje, v imenu Gospoda našega Jezusa Kristusa, da vsi eno govorite in da ne bodo med vami razdori, nego da boste utrjeni v enem umu in enej misli.
11 For, my britheren, it is teld to me of hem that ben at Cloes, that stryues ben among you.
Kajti izvedel sem za vas, bratje moji, od Hlojinih domačih, da so prepiri med vami.
12 And Y seie that, that ech of you seith, For Y am of Poul, and Y am of Apollo, and Y am of Cefas, but Y am of Crist.
Pravim pa to, da vsak vas govori: Jaz sem Pavlov, jaz pa Apolov, jaz pa Kefov, a jaz Kristusov.
13 Whether Crist is departid? whether Poul was crucified for you, ether ye ben baptisid in the name of Poul?
Jeli je Kristus razdeljen? jeli je bil Pavel na križ razpet za vas, ali ste se v ime Pavlovo pokrstili?
14 Y do thankyngis to my God, that Y baptiside noon of you, but Crispus and Gayus;
Hvalim Boga, da nisem nikogar vas krstil razen Krispa in Gaja,
15 lest ony man seie, that ye ben baptisid in my name.
Da kdo ne poreče, da sem v svoje ime krstil.
16 And Y baptiside also the hous of Stephan, but Y woot not, that Y baptiside ony other.
Krstil sem pa tudi Stefanov dom, več pa ne vem, če sem koga krstil.
17 For Crist sente me not to baptise, but to preche the gospel; not in wisdom of word, that the cros of Crist be not voidid awei.
Kajti Kristus me ni poslal krščevat, nego oznanjevat evangelj, ne v modrosti besede, da se ne izprazni križ Kristusov.
18 For the word of the cros is foli to hem that perischen; but to hem that ben maad saaf, that is to seie, to vs, it is the vertu of God.
Kajti beseda križa je tistim, kteri se pogubljajo, neumnost, nam pa, kteri se zveličujemo, je moč Božja.
19 For it is writun, Y schal distruye the wisdom of wise men, and Y schal reproue the prudence of prudent men.
Kajti pisano je: "Pogubil bom modrost modrih in razumnost razumnih bom zavrgel."
20 Where is the wise man? where is the wise lawiere? where is the purchasour of this world? Whether God hath not maad the wisdom of this world fonned? (aiōn g165)
Kje je modri? Kje pismar? Kje preiskovalec tega veka? Jeli ni v neumnost preobrnil Bog modrosti tega sveta? (aiōn g165)
21 For the world in wisdom of God knewe not God bi wisdom, it pleside to God, bi foli of prechyng, `to maken hem saaf that bileueden.
Ker kedar v modrosti Božjej ni spoznal svet po modrosti Boga, sklenil je Bog po neumnosti oznanjevanja zveličati té, kteri verujejo.
22 For Jewis seken signes, and Grekis seken wisdom;
Kajti tudi Judje znamenja prosijo, in Grki modrosti iščejo.
23 but we prechen Crist crucified, to Jewis sclaundre, and to hethene men foli;
A mi oznanjujemo Kristusa na križ razpetega, Judom torej pohujšanje a Grkom neumnost.
24 but to tho Jewis and Grekis that ben clepid, we prechen Crist the vertu of God and the wisdom of God.
Samim pa, kteri so poklicani, Judom in pa Grkom Kristusa, Božjo moč in Božjo modrost,
25 For that that is foli thing of God, is wiser than men; and that that is the feble thing of God, is strengere than men.
Ker je neumnost Božja modrejša od ljudî in slabost Božja je močnejša od ljudî.
26 But, britheren, se ye youre clepyng; for not many wise men aftir the fleisch, not many myyti, not many noble.
Kajti glejte poklic svoj, bratje, da niste mnogi modri po mesu, ne mnogi močni, ne mnogi imenitni.
27 But God chees tho thingis that ben fonned of the world, to confounde wise men;
Ali kar je neumno tega sveta, to si je Bog izbral, da modre osramoti, in kar je slabo tega sveta, to si je Bog izbral, da osramoti, kar je močno.
28 and God chees the feble thingis of the world, to confounde the stronge thingis; and God chees the vnnoble thingis `and dispisable thingis of the world, and tho thingis that ben not, to distruye tho thingis that ben;
In kar je neimenitno tega sveta in zaničevano, izbral si je Bog, in to kar ni, da uniči to kar je,
29 that ech man haue not glorie in his siyt.
Da se ne pohvali nobeno meso pričo njega.
30 But of hym ye ben in Crist Jhesu, which is maad of God to vs wisdom, and riytwisnesse, and holynesse, and ayenbiyng; that,
A vi ste iz njega v Kristusu Jezusu, kteri nam je postal modrost od Boga, pravica in pa posvečenje in odrešenje,
31 as it is wrytun, He that glorieth, haue glorie in the Lord.
Dà, kakor je pisano: "Kdor se hvali, v Gospodu naj se hvali."
