Colossians 3
1 If however you have risen with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, enthroned at God's right hand.
Portanto, se fostes ressuscitados com Cristo, buscai as coisas de cima, onde Cristo está sentado à direita de Deus.
2 Give your minds to the things that are above, not to the things that are on the earth.
Pensai nas coisas de cima, não nas que [estão] na terra.
3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
Pois já morrestes, e a vossa vida está escondida com Cristo em Deus.
4 When Christ appears--He is our true Life--then you also will appear with Him in glory.
Quando Cristo, [que é] a nossa vida, se manifestar, então também vós vos manifestareis com ele em glória.
5 Therefore put to death your earthward inclinations--fornication, impurity, sensual passion, unholy desire, and all greed, for that is a form of idolatry.
Portanto, mortificai as partes carnais que há em vós que são terrenas; [são elas]: o pecado sexual, a impureza, a paixão depravada, o desejo maligno, e a ganância, que é idolatria.
6 It is on account of these very sins that God's anger is coming,
Por causa delas que a ira de Deus vem.
7 and you also were once addicted to them, while you were living under their power.
Nessas coisas também vós andastes antes, quando vivíeis nelas.
8 But now you must rid yourselves of every kind of sin--angry and passionate outbreaks, ill-will, evil speaking, foul-mouthed abuse--so that these may never soil your lips.
Mas agora, abandonai, vós também, todas [estas coisas]: a ira, a fúria, a malícia, a maledicência, e as palavras vergonhosas da vossa boca.
9 Do not speak falsehoods to one another, for you have stripped off the old self with its doings,
Não mintais uns aos outros, pois já vos despistes do velho ser humano com os seus costumes,
10 and have clothed yourselves with the new self which is being remoulded into full knowledge so as to become like Him who created it.
e vos revestistes do novo, que se renova em conhecimento, conforme a imagem daquele que o criou.
11 In that new creation there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free man, but Christ is everything and is in all of us.
Nisso não há grego, nem judeu, nem circunciso, nem incircunciso, bárbaro, cita, escravo, [nem] livre; mas Cristo é tudo, e em todos.
12 Clothe yourselves therefore, as God's own people holy and dearly loved, with tender-heartedness, kindness, lowliness of mind, meekness, long-suffering;
Por isso, como escolhidos de Deus, santos e amados, revesti-vos de sentimentos de misericórdia, bondade, humildade, mansidão, e paciência.
13 bearing with one another and readily forgiving each other, if any one has a grievance against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, you also must forgive.
Suportai-vos uns aos outros, e perdoai-vos uns aos outros, se alguém tiver queixa contra outro. Como o Senhor vos perdoou, assim também [fazei].
14 And over all these put on love, which is the perfect bond of union;
E acima de tudo isto, [revesti-vos] do amor, que é o vínculo da perfeição.
15 and let the peace which Christ gives settle all questionings in your hearts, to which peace indeed you were called as belonging to His one Body; and be thankful.
E a paz de Cristo, para a qual também fostes chamados em um [só] corpo, governe em vossos corações, e sede gratos.
16 Let the teaching concerning Christ remain as a rich treasure in your hearts. In all wisdom teach and admonish one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, and sing with grace in your hearts to God.
A palavra de Cristo habite abundantemente em vós com toda sabedoria, ensinando-vos e advertindo-vos uns aos outros; e cantai a Deus com salmos, hinos, e cânticos espirituais, com graça no vosso coração.
17 And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, and let it be through Him that you give thanks to God the Father.
E tudo quanto fizerdes, por palavras ou por obras, [fazei] tudo no nome do Senhor Jesus, dando por meio dele graças ao Deus e Pai.
18 Married women, be submissive to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
Mulheres, sede submissas aos vossos maridos, como convém no Senhor.
19 Married men, be affectionate to your wives, and do not treat them harshly.
Maridos, amai às esposas, e não as trateis amargamente.
20 Children be obedient to your parents in everything; for that is right for Christians.
Filhos, obedecei em tudo aos pais, porque isso é agradável ao Senhor.
21 Fathers, do not fret and harass your children, or you may make them sullen and morose.
Pais, não provoqueis aos vossos filhos, para que não percam o ânimo.
22 Slaves, be obedient in everything to your earthly masters; not in acts of eye service, as aiming only to please men, but with simplicity of purpose, because you fear the Lord.
Escravos, obedecei em tudo aos [vossos] senhores segundo a carne, não servindo apenas quando observados, como que para satisfazer às pessoas, mas sim, com sinceridade de coração, temendo ao Senhor.
23 Whatever you are doing, let your hearts be in your work, as a thing done for the Lord and not for men.
Tudo quanto fizerdes, fazei de coração, como para o Senhor, e não para as pessoas.
24 For you know that it is from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. Christ is the Master whose bondservants you are.
Pois sabeis que recebereis do Senhor a recompensa da herança; servi ao Senhor Cristo.
25 The man who perpetrates a wrong will find the wrong repaid to him; and with God there are no merely earthly distinctions.
Pois aquele que fizer injustiça receberá conforme a injustiça que cometer; e não há acepção de pessoas.
