Psalms 90
1 A Prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.
Modlitwa Mojżesza, męża Bożego. Panie! tyś bywał ucieczką naszą od narodu do narodu.
2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
Pierwej niżli góry stanęły i niżliś wykształtował ziemię, i okrąg świata, oto zaraz od wieku aż na wieki tyś jest Bogiem.
3 Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.
Ty znowu człowieka w proch obracasz, a mówisz: Nawróćcie się synowie ludzcy.
4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
Albowiem tysiąc lat przed oczyma twemi są jako dzień wczorajszy, który przeminął, i jako straż nocna.
5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth.
Powodzią porywasz ich; są jako sen, i jako trawa, która z poranku rośnie.
6 In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.
Z poranku kwitnie i rośnie; ale w wieczór bywa pokoszona, i usycha.
7 For we are consumed by thy anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
Albowiem od gniewu twego giniemy, a popędliwością twoją jesteśmy przestraszeni.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.
Położyłeś nieprawości nasze przed sobą, tajne występki nasze przed jasnością oblicza twego.
9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.
Skąd wszystkie dni nasze nagle przemijają dla gniewu twego; jako słowa niszczeją lata nasze.
10 The days of our years are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
Dni wieku naszego jest lat siedmdziesiąt, a jeźli kto duższy, lat ośmdziesiąt, a to, co najlepszego w nich, tylko kłopot i nędza, a gdy to pominie, tedy prędko odlatujemy.
11 Who knoweth the power of thy anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
Ale któż zna srogość gniewu twego? albo kto bojąc się ciebie zna zapalczywość twoję?
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.
Nauczże nas obliczać dni naszych, abyśmy przywiedli serce do mądrości.
13 Return, O LORD, how long? and repent thou concerning thy servants.
Nawróćże się, Panie! dokądże odwłaczasz? zlitujże się nad sługami twymi.
14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Nasyćże nas z poranku miłosierdziem twojem; tak, abyśmy wesoło śpiewać i radować się mogli po wszystkie dni nasze.
15 Make us glad according to the days in which thou hast afflicted us, and the years in which we have seen evil.
Rozweselże nas według dni, którycheś nas utrapił, według lat, którycheśmy doznali złego.
16 Let thy work appear to thy servants, and thy glory to their children.
Niech będzie znaczna przy sługach twoich sprawa twoja, a chwała twoja przy synach ich.
17 And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
Niech będzie przyjemność Pana, Boga naszego, przy nas, a sprawę rąk naszych utwierdź między nami, sprawę rąk naszych utwierdź, Panie!
