< Psalms 10 >
1 Why, Yahweh, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
Nʼchifukwa chiyani Yehova mwayima patali? Chifukwa chiyani mukudzibisa nokha pa nthawi ya mavuto?
2 Because of their arrogance, wicked people chase the oppressed; but please let the wicked be trapped by their own schemes that they have devised.
Mwa kunyada kwake munthu woyipa asaka wofowoka, amene akodwa mʼnjira zimene iye wakonza.
3 For the wicked person boasts of his deepest desires; he blesses the greedy and insults Yahweh.
Iye amatamandira zokhumba za mu mtima wake; amadalitsa aumbombo ndi kuchitira chipongwe Yehova.
4 The wicked man has a raised face; he does not seek God. He never thinks about God because he does not care at all about him.
Mwa kunyada kwake woyipa safunafuna Mulungu; mʼmaganizo ake wonse mulibe malo a Mulungu.
5 He is secure at all times, but your righteous decrees are too high for him; he snorts at all his enemies.
Zinthu zake zimamuyendera bwino; iye ndi wamwano ndipo malamulo anu ali nawo kutali; amanyogodola adani ake onse.
6 He says in his heart,” I will never fail; throughout all generations I will not meet adversity.”
Iye amadziyankhulira kuti, “Palibe chimene chidzandigwedeze. Ndidzakhala wokondwa nthawi zonse ndipo sindidzakhala pa mavuto.”
7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceptive, harmful words; his tongue injures and destroys.
Mʼkamwa mwake mwadzaza matemberero, mabodza ndi zoopseza; zovutitsa ndi zoyipa zili pansi pa lilime lake.
8 He waits in ambush near the villages; in the secret places he murders the innocent; his eyes look for some helpless victim.
Iye amabisalira anthu pafupi ndi midzi, kuchokera pobisalapo amapha anthu osalakwa, amayangʼanayangʼana mwachinsinsi anthu oti awawononge.
9 He lurks in secret like a lion in the thicket; he lies in wait to catch the oppressed. He catches the oppressed when he pulls in his net.
Amabisalira anthu ngati mkango pa zitsamba. Amabisalira kuti agwire anthu opanda mphamvu; amagwira anthu opanda mphamvu ndi kuwakokera mu ukonde wake.
10 His victims are crushed and beaten down; they fall into his strong nets.
Anthuwo amawapondaponda ndipo amakomoka; amakhala pansi pa mphamvu zake.
11 He says in his heart, “God has forgotten; he covers his face; he will not bother to look.”
Iye amati mu mtima mwake, “Mulungu wayiwala, wabisa nkhope yake ndipo sakuonanso.”
12 Arise, Yahweh! Lift up your hand, God! Do not forget the oppressed.
Dzukani Yehova! Onetsani dzanja lanu Inu Mulungu. Musayiwale anthu opanda mphamvu.
13 Why does the wicked man reject God and say in his heart, “You will not hold me accountable”?
Nʼchifukwa chiyani munthu woyipa amachitira chipongwe Mulungu? Chifukwa chiyani amati mu mtima mwake, “Iye sandiyimba mlandu?”
14 You have taken notice, for you always see the one who inflicts the misery and sorrow. The helpless entrusts himself to you; you rescue the fatherless.
Komatu Inu Mulungu, mumazindikira mavuto ndi zosautsa, mumaganizira zochitapo kanthu. Wovutikayo amadzipereka yekha kwa Inu pakuti Inu ndi mthandizi wa ana amasiye.
15 Break the arm of the wicked and evil man. Make him account for his evil deeds, which he thought you would not discover.
Thyolani dzanja la woyipitsitsa ndi la munthu woyipa; muzengeni mlandu chifukwa cha zoyipa zake zimene sizikanadziwika.
16 Yahweh is King forever and ever; the nations are driven out of his land.
Yehova ndi Mfumu kwamuyaya; mitundu ya anthu idzawonongeka kuchoka mʼdziko lake.
17 Yahweh, you have heard the needs of the oppressed; you strengthen their heart, you listen to their prayer;
Mumamva Inu Yehova, zokhumba za osautsidwa; mumawalimbikitsa ndipo mumamva kulira kwawo.
18 You defend the fatherless and the oppressed so that no man on the earth will cause terror again.
Kuteteza ana amasiye ndi oponderezedwa, ndi cholinga chakuti munthu amene ali wa dziko lapansi asaopsenso.
