< Mark 5 >
1 They came to the other side of the sea, to the region of the Gerasenes.
Yesuusinne iya tamaareti abbaa pinnidi, Gerggesoone giya biittaa gakkidosona.
2 When Jesus was getting out of the boat, immediately there came up to him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit.
Yesuusi wogoluwappe wodhdhiya wode tuna ayyaanay oykkida issi uray duufoppe keyidi iyara gahettis.
3 The man lived in the tombs. No one could restrain him anymore, not even with a chain.
He uray duufuwan aqi pee7idi de7ees. Iya oonikka santhalaatan qachchanaw dandda7enna.
4 He had been bound many times with shackles and with chains. He tore the chains apart and his shackles were shattered. No one had the strength to subdue him.
I daro toho duthaninne santhalaatan qashettidi de7ees. Shin santhalaata duuserethees, duthaa mentherethees. Iya teqqanaw dandda7iya oonikka baawa.
5 Every night and day in the tombs and in the mountains, he cried out and cut himself with sharp stones.
I qammanne gallas he duufuwaninne dere bolla waasses, ba bollaaka shuchchan gaarees.
6 When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran to him and bowed down before him.
Yesuusa haahon be7ida wode woxxi bidi iya sinthan gulbbatis.
7 He cried out with a loud voice, “What do I have to do with you, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you by God himself, do not torment me.”
He uray ba qaala dhoqqu oothidi, “Ubbaafe Bolla Xoossaa Na7aw Yesuusa, nenanne tana aybe gathey? Tana dhayssona mela taani nena Xoossaa sunthan woossays” yaagis.
8 For he had been saying to him, “Come out of the man, you unclean spirit.”
I hessa giday Yesuusi iya, “La ha tuna ayyaanaw, ha addiyafe keya” yaagida gishossa.
9 He asked him, “What is your name?” He answered him, “My name is Legion, for we are many.”
Yesuusi iyaakko, “Ne sunthay oonee?” yaagidi oychchis. I, “Nuuni daro gidiya gisho, ta sunthay Leegiyona” yaagis.
10 He begged him again and again not to send them out of the region.
Tuna ayyaanati bantana he biittaafe kessi yeddonna mela Yesuusa minthidi woossidosona.
11 Now a great herd of pigs was there feeding on the hill,
He deriya bolla daro guduntho wudey hamuttees.
12 and they begged him, saying, “Send us into the pigs; let us enter into them.”
Tuna ayyaanati Yesuusakko, “Nuna hini guduntho wudiyakko yeddarkki, enttan bidi geloos” yaagidi woossidosona.
13 So he allowed them; the unclean spirits came out and entered into the pigs, and they rushed down the steep hill into the sea, and about two thousand pigs drowned in the sea.
Yesuusi enttako, “Biite” yaagis. Yaatin tuna ayyaanati addiyafe keyidi gudunthotan gelidosona. Nam77u mukulu gidiya guduntho wudey aafo doonara dirggidi bidi abban gelidi mitettidosona.
14 Then those who were feeding the pigs ran away and reported what had happened in the city and in the countryside, and so people went out to see what had happened.
Guduntho wudiya heemmeyssati baqati bidi hanidabaa katamaaninne gaxariyan odidosona. Yaatin asay hanidabaa be7anaw keyidosona.
15 Then they came to Jesus and they saw the demon-possessed man, the one who had been possessed by Legion, sitting there, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
Asay Yesuusakko yaa wode tuna ayyaanan oykettida uraa be7idosona. I ba wozanaakko simmidi, ma7o ma7idi, yan uttidayssa be7ida wode ubbay yayyidosona.
16 Those who had seen what happened to the demon-possessed man told them about it in detail, and they also them told about the pigs.
Hessa be7ida asati tuna ayyaanati oykkida uraa bollanne gudunthota bolla hanidabaa ubbaa asaas odidosona.
17 Then they started to beg him to leave their region.
Hessa gisho, asay bantta biittaafe Yesuusi baana mela woossidosona.
18 When he was getting into the boat, the demon-possessed man begged him that he might be with him.
Yesuusi wogoluwan geliya wode kase tuna ayyaanati oykkidi yeddida uray, Yesuusa kaallanaw iya woossis.
19 But Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go to your house and to your people and tell them what the Lord has done for you, and how he has shown you mercy.”
Shin Yesuusi ixxidi iyaakko, “Ne soo simmada, Goday new ay mela gitabaa oothidakkonne new ay mela keehidakko ne soo asaas oda” yaagis.
20 So he went away and began to proclaim the great things that Jesus had done for him in the Decapolis, and everyone was amazed.
Uray bidi Tammu Katamata giyason yuuyidi, Yesuusi baw ay mela gitabaa oothidaakko odis. I odidayssa si7ida asa ubbay malaalettidosona.
21 Now when Jesus had crossed over again to the other side, in the boat, a great crowd gathered around him, as he was beside the sea.
Yesuusi simmidi, wogoluwan gelidi, abbaa pinnidaappe guye daro asay abbaa gaxan iya yuushuwan shiiqidosona.
22 Then one of the leaders of the synagogue, named Jairus, came, and when he saw him, fell at his feet.
Iyaroosa giya Ayhude Woosa Keetha halaqatappe issoy, Yesuusa be7ida wode iyaakko yidi iya tohuwa bolla
23 He begged again and again, saying, “My little daughter is near death. I beg you, come and lay your hands on her that she may be made well and live.”
kunddidi, “Ta na7iya harggada hayqqana hanawsu. Iya paxada de7ana mela yada ne kushiya I bolla wotharkkii” yaagidi Yesuusa minthidi woossis.
24 So he went with him, and a great crowd followed him and pressed close around him.
Yesuusi Iyaroosara bis. I bishin daro asay iya kaallidi un77ethidosona.
25 Now a woman was there who had a flow of blood for twelve years.
Tammanne nam77u laythi I bollaafe suuthi goggiya issi maccasiya de7awusu.
26 She had suffered much from many doctors and had spent everything that she had, but instead of getting better she grew worse.
Daro aakimeti iyo aakimidosona, shin iya paxa kaa7ettasu. Iya ba miishiya ubbaa wurssinkka iw haa iitisppe attin aykkoka maaddibeenna.
27 When she had heard the reports about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak.
He maccasiya Yesuusabaa si7ada, asaa kanthada Yesuusa guyera yada iya ma7uwa bochchasu.
28 For she said, “If I touch just his clothes, I will be healed.”
Iya, “Taani hari attoshin iya ma7uwa bochchiyakko paxana” gada qoppasu.
29 When she touched him, the bleeding stopped, and she felt in her body that she was healed from her affliction.
Iippe goggiya suuthay sohuwara eqi aggis. Iya ba waayappe paxidayssa ba asatethan erasu.
30 Jesus immediately realized in himself that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched my clothes?”
Yesuusi baappe wolqqi keyidayssa ba huu7en eridi, ellesidi daro asa giddon guye simmidi, “Ta ma7uwa bochchiday oonee?” yaagis.
31 His disciples said to him, “You see this crowd pressed around you, and you say, 'Who touched me?'”
Iya tamaareti, “Asay nena sugeyssa be7ashe, ‘Woygada tana oone bochchiday yaagay?’” yaagidosona.
32 But Jesus looked around to see who had done it.
Yesuusi hessa ooni oothidaakko be7anaw yuushshi aathi xeellis.
33 The woman, knowing what had happened to her, feared and trembled. She came and fell down before him and told him the whole truth.
Shin maccasiya baw hanidabaa erada, yashshan kokkorashe yada Yesuusa sinthan gufannasu; qassi hanidabaa ubbaa tumaa iyaw odasu.
34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed from your disease.”
Yaanin, Yesuusi iikko, “Ta naatte, nena ne ammanoy pathis, saron ba, ne waayiyappeka paxa” yaagis.
35 While he was speaking, some people came from the leader of the synagogue, saying, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the teacher any longer?”
Yesuusi buroo hessa odishin, Ayhude Woosa Keetha halaqaa sooppe kiitettida asati yidi, “Ne na7iya hayqqasu, asttamaariya ays daaburissay?” yaagidosona.
36 But when Jesus overheard what they said, he said to the leader of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid. Just believe.”
Shin Yesuusi entti geyssa si7idi, Ayhude Woosa Keetha halaqaakko, “Ammano xalaala ammanappe attin babbofa” yaagis.
37 He did not permit anyone to accompany him, except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James.
Yesuusi Phexiroosappe, Yayqoobappenne Yayqooba ishaa Yohaannisappe hari oonikka bana kaallonna mela diggis.
38 They came to the house of the leader of the synagogue and he saw there people making a lot of noise; they were weeping and wailing loudly.
Entti Ayhude Woosa Keetha halaqaa soo gakkiya wode Yesuusi asay kaha dhayidi yeekkeyssanne zeeleleyssa be7is.
39 When he entered the house, he said to them, “Why are you upset and why do you weep? The child is not dead but sleeps.”
Gelidi asaakko, “Ays kaha dhayidi yeekketii? Na7iya dhiskkasuppe attin hayqqabuukku” yaagis.
40 They laughed at him. But he put them all outside and took the father of the child and the mother and those who were with him, and he went in where the child was.
Asay iya bolla miiccis. Shin asa ubbaa kare kessidi, na7ee aawa, aayyiwunne heedzu tamaareta baara ekkidi na7iya de7iyasuwa gelis.
41 He took the hand of the child and said to her, “Talitha, koum!” which being translated would be, “Little girl, I say to you, get up.”
Yesuusi na7ee kushiya oykkidi, “Xaalita, quumi” (Guutha naatte, nena gays dendda) yaagis.
42 Immediately the child got up and walked (for she was twelve years of age). They were immediately astonished with overwhelming amazement.
Na7iya sohuwara dendda eqqada hamuttasu. Iya tammanne nam77u laytha na7a. Hessan asay daro malaalettidosona.
43 He strictly ordered them that no one should know about this. Then he told them to give her something to eat.
