Judges 10
1 After Abimelech, Tola son of Puah son of Dodo, a man from Issachar who lived in Shamir, in the hill country of Ephraim, arose to deliver Israel.
Y después de Abi-melec levantóse Tola hijo de Fua, hijo de Dodo, varón de Isacar, para librar a Israel: el cual habitaba en Samir en el monte de Efraím.
2 He judged Israel twenty-three years. He died and was buried in Shamir.
Y juzgó a Israel veinte y tres años, y murió, y fue sepultado en Samir.
3 He was followed by Jair the Gileadite. He judged Israel twenty-two years.
Tras él se levantó Jair Gaaladita, el cual juzgó a Israel veinte y dos años.
4 He had thirty sons who rode on thirty donkeys, and they had thirty cities, which are called Havvoth Jair to this day, which are in the land of Gilead.
Este tuvo treinta hijos que cabalgaban sobre treinta asnos, y tenían treinta villas, las cuales se llamaron las villas de Jair hasta hoy, que están en la tierra de Galaad.
5 Jair died and was buried in Kamon.
Y murió Jair, y fue sepultado en Camón.
6 The people of Israel added to the evil they had done in the sight of Yahweh and worshiped the Baals, the Ashtoreths, the gods of Aram, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the people of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines. They abandoned Yahweh and no longer worshiped him.
Mas los hijos de Israel tornaron a hacer lo malo en los ojos de Jehová, y sirvieron a los Baales, y a Astarot, y a los dioses de Siria, y a los dioses de Sidón, y a los dioses de Moab, y a los dioses de los hijos de Ammón, y a los dioses de los Filisteos: y dejaron a Jehová, y no le sirvieron.
7 Yahweh burned with anger toward Israel, and he sold them into the hand of the Philistines and into the hand of the Ammonites.
Y Jehová se airó contra Israel, y vendiólos en mano de los Filisteos, y en mano de los hijos de Ammón.
8 They crushed and oppressed the people of Israel that year, and for eighteen years they oppressed all the people of Israel who were beyond the Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.
Los cuales molieron y quebrantaron a los hijos de Israel en aquel tiempo por diez y ocho años, a todos los hijos de Israel, que estaban de la otra parte del Jordán en la tierra del Amorreo, que es en Galaad.
9 Then the Ammonites crossed over the Jordan to fight against Judah, against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim, so that Israel was greatly distressed.
Y los hijos de Ammón pasaron el Jordán para hacer también guerra contra Judá, y Ben-jamín, y la casa de Efraím: e Israel fue en grande manera afligido.
10 Then the people of Israel called out to Yahweh, saying, “We have sinned against you, because we abandoned our God and worshiped the Baals.”
Y los hijos de Israel clamaron a Jehová, diciendo: Nosotros hemos pecado contra ti: porque habemos dejado a nuestro Dios, y habemos servido a los Baales.
11 Yahweh said to the people of Israel, “Did I not deliver you from the Egyptians, the Amorites, the Ammonites, the Philistines,
Y Jehová respondió a los hijos de Israel: ¿No habéis sido oprimidos de Egipto, de los Amorreos, de los Ammonitas, de los Filisteos,
12 and also from the Sidonians? The Amalekites and the Maonites oppressed you; you called out to me, and I delivered you from their power.
De los de Sidón, de Amalec, y de Maón, y clamando a mí os he librado de sus manos?
13 Yet you abandoned me again and worshiped other gods. Therefore, I will not keep adding to the times I deliver you.
Mas vosotros me habéis dejado, y habéis servido a dioses ajenos: por tanto yo no os libraré más.
14 Go and call out to the gods that you have worshiped. Let them rescue you when you have trouble.”
Andád, y clamád a los dioses que os habéis elegido, que os libren en el tiempo de vuestra aflicción.
15 The people of Israel said to Yahweh, “We have sinned. Do to us whatever seems good to you. Only please, rescue us this day.”
Y los hijos de Israel respondieron a Jehová: Nosotros hemos pecado, haz tú con nosotros como bien te pareciere: solamente que ahora nos libres en este día.
16 They got rid of the foreign gods among them and they worshiped Yahweh. Then Yahweh could bear Israel's misery no longer.
Y quitaron de entre sí los dioses ajenos, y sirvieron a Jehová; y su alma fue angustiada a causa del trabajo de Israel.
17 Then Ammonites gathered together and set up camp in Gilead. The Israelites came together and set up their camp at Mizpah.
Y juntándose los hijos de Ammón asentaron campo en Galaad: y juntáronse los hijos de Israel, y asentaron su campo en Maspa.
18 The leaders of the people of Gilead said one to another, “Who is the man who will begin to fight the Ammonites? He will become the leader over all those who are living in Gilead.”
Y los príncipes y el pueblo de Galaad dijeron el uno al otro: ¿Quién será el que comenzará la batalla contra los hijos de Ammón? El será cabeza sobre todos los que habitan en Galaad.
