< Hebrews 10 >
1 For the law is only a shadow of the good things to come, not the real forms of those things themselves. Those who approach God can never be made perfect by the same sacrifices that the priests continually bring year after year.
Nítorí tí òfin jẹ́ òjìji àwọn ohun rere ti ń bọ̀ tí kì í ṣe àwòrán tòótọ́ fún àwọn òtítọ́ náà, wọn kò lè fi ẹbọ kan náà tí wọn ń rú nígbà gbogbo lọ́dọọdún mu àwọn tí ń wá jọ́sìn di pípé.
2 Otherwise, would the sacrifices not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed one time and would no longer have any consciousness of sin.
Bí kò ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀, a kì ìbá tí dẹ́kun àti máa rú wọn, nítorí àwọn ti ń sìn ki ìbá tí ní ìmọ̀ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀, nígbà tí a bá ti wẹ̀ wọ́n mọ́ lẹ́ẹ̀kan ṣoṣo.
3 But with those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins year after year.
Ṣùgbọ́n nínú ẹbọ wọ̀nyí ni a ń ṣe ìrántí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ lọ́dọọdún.
4 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
Nítorí ko ṣe é ṣe fún ẹ̀jẹ̀ akọ màlúù àti ti ewúrẹ́ láti mú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ kúrò.
5 When Christ came into the world, he said, “Sacrifices and offerings you did not desire, but a body you have prepared for me;
Nítorí náà nígbà tí Kristi wá sí ayé, ó wí pé, “Ìwọ kò fẹ́ ẹbọ àti ọrẹ, ṣùgbọ́n ara ni ìwọ ti pèsè fún mi,
6 with burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not take pleasure.
ẹbọ sísun àti ẹbọ fún ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ni ìwọ kò ní inú dídùn sí.
7 Then I said, 'See, here I am— as it is written about me in the scroll— to do your will.'”
Nígbà náà ni mo wí pé, ‘Kíyèsi i (nínú ìwé kíká ni a gbé kọ ọ́ nípa ti èmi) mo dé láti ṣe ìfẹ́ rẹ, Ọlọ́run.’”
8 First he said, “It was neither sacrifices, nor offerings, nor whole burnt offerings, nor sacrifices for sin that you desired. Nor did you take pleasure in them.” These are sacrifices that are offered according to the law.
Nígbà tí o wí ni ìṣáájú pé, “Ìwọ kò fẹ́ ẹbọ àti ọrẹ àti ẹbọ sísun, àti ẹbọ fún ẹ̀ṣẹ̀, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ìwọ kò ni inú dídùn si wọn” (àwọn èyí tí a ń rú gẹ́gẹ́ bí òfin).
9 Then he said, “See, here I am to do your will.” He takes away the first practice in order to establish the second practice.
Nígbà náà ni ó wí pé, “Kíyèsi i, mo de láti ṣe ìfẹ́ rẹ Ọlọ́run.” Ó mú ti ìṣáájú kúrò, kí a lè fi ìdí èkejì múlẹ̀.
10 By that will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Nípa ìfẹ́ náà ni a ti sọ wá di mímọ́ nípa ẹbọ ti Jesu Kristi fi ara rẹ̀ rú lẹ́ẹ̀kan ṣoṣo.
11 Day after day every priest stands and performs his service to God. He offers the same sacrifices again and again—sacrifices that can never take away sins.
Àti olúkúlùkù àlùfáà sì ń dúró lójoojúmọ́ láti ṣiṣẹ́ ìsìn, ó sì ń ṣe ẹbọ kan náà nígbàkígbà, tí kò lè mú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ kúrò láé.
12 But when Christ offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.
Ṣùgbọ́n òun, lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí o ti rú ẹbọ kan fún ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ títí láé, o jókòó lọ́wọ́ ọ̀tún Ọlọ́run;
13 He is waiting until his enemies are made a stool for his feet.
láti ìgbà náà, ó retí títí a o fi àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ̀ ṣe àpótí ìtìsẹ̀ rẹ̀.
14 For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
Nítorí nípa ẹbọ kan a ti mú àwọn tí a sọ di mímọ́ pé títí láé.
15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us. First he said,
Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́ sì ń jẹ́rìí fún wa pẹ̀lú, nítorí lẹ́yìn tí ó wí pé,
16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.
“Èyí ni májẹ̀mú ti èmi o ba wọn dá lẹ́hìn àwọn ọjọ́ wọ̀nyí, ni Olúwa wí. Èmi o fi òfin mi sí wọn ní ọkàn, inú wọn pẹ̀lú ni èmi o sì kọ wọn sí.”
17 Their sins and lawless deeds I will remember no longer.”
Ó tún sọ wí pé: “Ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wọn àti àìṣedéédéé wọn lèmi kì yóò sì rántí mọ́.”
18 Now where there is forgiveness for these, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin.
Ṣùgbọ́n níbi tí ìmúkúrò ìwọ̀nyí bá gbé wà, ìrúbọ fún ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ kò sí mọ́.
19 Therefore, brothers, we have confidence to enter into the most holy place by the blood of Jesus.
Ará, ǹjẹ́ bí a ti ní ìgboyà láti wọ inú Ibi Mímọ́ Jùlọ nípasẹ̀ ẹ̀jẹ̀ Jesu,
20 That is the new and living way that he has opened for us through the curtain, that is, by means of his flesh.
nípa ọ̀nà títún àti ààyè, tí o yà sí mímọ́ fún wa, àti láti kọjá aṣọ ìkélé èyí yìí ní, ara rẹ̀;
21 Because we have a great priest over the house of God,
àti bí a ti ni àlùfáà gíga lórí ilé Ọlọ́run;
22 let us approach with true hearts in the full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
ẹ jẹ́ kí a fi òtítọ́ ọkàn súnmọ́ tòsí ni ẹ̀kún ìgbàgbọ́, kí a sì wẹ ọkàn wa mọ́ kúrò nínú ẹ̀rí ọkàn búburú, kí a sì fi omi mímọ́ wẹ ara wa nù.
23 Let us also hold tightly to the confession of our hope without wavering, because God, who has promised, is faithful.
Ẹ jẹ́ kí a di ìjẹ́wọ́ ìrètí wa mu ṣinṣin ni àìṣiyèméjì, nítorí pé olóòtítọ́ ní ẹni tí o ṣe ìlérí.
24 Let us consider how to motivate one another to love and good deeds.
Ẹ jẹ́ kí a yẹ ara wa wò láti ru ara wa sí ìfẹ́ àti sí iṣẹ́ rere,
25 Let us not stop meeting together, as some have done. Instead, encourage one another more and more, and all the more as you see the day coming closer.
kí a ma máa kọ ìpéjọpọ̀ ara wa sílẹ̀, gẹ́gẹ́ bi àṣà àwọn ẹlòmíràn; ṣùgbọ́n kí a máa gba ara ẹni níyànjú pẹ̀lúpẹ̀lú bí ẹ̀yin ti rí i pé ọjọ́ náà ń súnmọ́ etílé.
26 For if we deliberately go on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, a sacrifice for sins no longer exists.
Nítorí bí àwa ba mọ̀ ọ́n mọ̀ dẹ́ṣẹ̀ lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí àwa bá ti gba ìmọ̀ òtítọ́ kò tún sí ẹbọ fún ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ mọ́.
27 Instead, there is only a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume God's enemies.
Bí kò ṣe ìrètí ìdájọ́ tí ó ba ni lẹ́rù, àti ti ìbínú ti o múná, tí yóò pa àwọn ọ̀tá run.
28 Anyone who has rejected the law of Moses dies without mercy at the testimony of two or three witnesses.
Ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó ba gan òfin Mose, ó kú láìsí àánú nípa ẹ̀rí ẹni méjì tàbí mẹ́ta.
29 How much worse punishment do you think one deserves who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, who treated the blood of the covenant as unholy—the blood by which he was sanctified—and insulted the Spirit of grace?
Mélòó mélòó ni ẹ rò pé a o jẹ ẹni náà ní ìyà kíkan, ẹni tí o tẹ Ọmọ Ọlọ́run mọ́lẹ̀ tí ó sì ti ka ẹ̀jẹ̀ májẹ̀mú ti a fi sọ ọ́ di mímọ́ si ohun àìmọ́, tí ó sì ti kẹ́gàn ẹ̀mí oore-ọ̀fẹ́.
30 For we know the one who said, “Vengeance belongs to me; I will pay back.” And again, “The Lord will judge his people.”
Nítorí àwa mọ ẹni tí o wí pé, Ẹ̀san ni ti èmi, Olúwa wí pé, “Èmi ó gbẹ̀san.” Àti pẹ̀lú, “Olúwa yóò ṣe ìdájọ́ àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀.”
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God!
Ohun ẹ̀rù ni láti ṣubú sí ọwọ́ Ọlọ́run alààyè.
32 But remember the former days, after you were enlightened, how you endured a great struggle in suffering.
Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ rántí ọjọ́ ìṣáájú nínú èyí tí, nígbà tí a ti sí yin lójú, ẹ fi ara da wàhálà ńlá ti ìjìyà;
33 You were exposed to public ridicule by insults and persecution, and you were sharing with those who went through such suffering.
lápákan, nígbà tí a sọ yín di ìran wíwò nípa ẹ̀gàn àti ìpọ́njú; àti lápákan, nígbà tí ẹ̀yin di ẹgbẹ́ àwọn tí a ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀ si.
34 For you had compassion on those who were prisoners, and you accepted with joy the seizure of your possessions. You knew that you yourselves had a better and everlasting possession.
Nítorí ẹ̀yin bá àwọn tí ó wà nínú ìdè kẹ́dùn, ẹ sì fi ayọ̀ gba ìkólọ ẹrù yin, nítorí ẹ̀yin mọ nínú ara yin pé, ẹ ni ọrọ̀ tí ó wà títí, tí ó sì dára jù bẹ́ẹ̀ lọ.
35 So do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.
Nítorí náà ẹ má ṣe gbé ìgboyà yín sọnù, èyí ti o ni èrè ńlá.
36 For you need patience, so that you may receive what God has promised, after you have done his will.
Nítorí ẹ̀yin kò le ṣe aláìní sùúrù, nítorí ìgbà tí ẹ̀yin bá ti ṣe ìfẹ́ Ọlọ́run tan kí ẹ̀yin le gba ìlérí náà.
37 “For in a very little while, the one who is coming will indeed come and not delay.
Nítorí, “Ni ìwọ̀n ìgbà díẹ̀ sí i, ẹni náà ti ń bọ̀ yóò dé, kí yóò sì jáfara.
38 My righteous one will live by faith. If he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him.”
Ṣùgbọ́n, “Olódodo ni yóò yè nípa ìgbàgbọ́. Ṣùgbọ́n bí o ba fàsẹ́yìn, ọkàn mi kò ní inú dídùn sí i.”
39 But we are not any of those who turn back to destruction. Instead, we are some of those who have faith for keeping our soul.
Ṣùgbọ́n àwa kò sí nínú àwọn tí ń fàsẹ́yìn sínú ègbé; bí kò ṣe nínú àwọn tí o gbàgbọ́ sí ìgbàlà ọkàn.
