Matthew 25
1 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
„Akkor hasonlatos lesz a mennyek országa a tíz szűzhöz, akik elővették lámpásaikat, és kimentek a vőlegény elé.
2 Five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
Öt pedig közülük eszes volt, és öt bolond.
3 When those who were foolish took their lamps, they did not take oil with them,
Akik bolondok voltak, amikor lámpásaikat elővették, nem vittek magukkal olajat.
4 but the wise took oil in their flasks along with their lamps.
Az eszesek pedig lámpásaikkal együtt olajat is vittek magukkal az edényeikben.
5 When the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept.
Mivel pedig a vőlegény késett, mindannyian elszunnyadtak és elaludtak.
6 But in the middle of the night there was a shout: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him.’
Éjfélkor pedig kiáltás hallatszott: Íme, jön a vőlegény! Jöjjetek elé!
7 Then all the virgins rose and trimmed their lamps.
Akkor felkeltek a szüzek mind, és elkészítették lámpásaikat.
8 And the foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’
A bolondok ezt mondták az eszeseknek: Adjatok nekünk olajotokból, mert a mi lámpásaink ki fognak aludni.
9 But the wise replied, ‘No, there will not be enough for us and for you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’
Az eszesek pedig így feleltek: Nem lenne elegendő talán sem nekünk, sem nektek; menjetek inkább az árusokhoz, és vegyetek magatoknak.
10 But while they were on their way to buy it, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast. Then the door was shut.
Mikor pedig elmentek vásárolni, megérkezett a vőlegény, és akik készen voltak, bementek vele a menyegzőre, és bezárták az ajtót.
11 Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open the door for us.’
Később pedig a többi szűz is megjött, és ezt mondták: Uram, uram, nyisd ki nekünk.
12 But he answered, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’
Ő pedig így felelt: Bizony mondom néktek, nem ismerlek titeket.
13 Therefore keep watch, for you do not know the day or the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
Vigyázzatok azért, mert sem a napot, sem az órát nem tudjátok, amelyen az Emberfia eljön.
14 “For it is just like a man about to go on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his possessions to them.
„Mert éppen úgy van ez, mint az az ember, aki útra akart kelni, hívatta szolgáit, és amije volt, átadta nekik.
15 To one he gave five talents, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability. And he immediately went on his journey.
Az egyiknek öt talentumot adott, a másiknak kettőt, a harmadiknak pedig egyet, kinek-kinek erejéhez képest, és azonnal útra kelt.
16 The man who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made five more talents.
Az, aki az öt talentumot kapta, elment, kereskedett azokkal, és szerzett másik öt talentumot.
17 In the same way, the man who had received the two talents also earned two more.
Ugyanígy, akié a kettő volt, az is másik kettőt nyert hozzá.
18 But the man who had received the one talent went and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money.
Aki pedig az egyet kapta, elment, elásta azt a földbe, és elrejtette urának pénzét.
19 “After a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them.
Sok idő múlva pedig megjött a szolgáknak ura, és számadást tartott velük.
20 The man who had received the five talents came to him and brought the other five talents, saying, ‘Master, yoʋ entrusted me with five talents; behold, I have earned five more talents besides them.’
Eljött az, aki az öt talentumot kapta, és hozott másik öt talentumot, és ezt mondta: Uram, öt talentumot adtál nekem, íme, másik öt talentumot nyertem azokon.
21 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! Yoʋ have been faithful over a few things; I will set yoʋ over many things. Enter into the joy of yoʋr master.’
Ura pedig ezt mondta neki: Jól van, jó és hű szolgám, kevésen voltál hű, sokra bízlak ezután, menj be uradnak örömébe.
22 The man who had received the two talents also came to him and said, ‘Master, yoʋ entrusted me with two talents; behold, I have earned two more talents besides them.’
Eljött az is, ki a két talentumot kapta, és ezt mondta: Uram, két talentumot adtál nekem, íme, két másik talentumot nyertem rajta.
23 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! Yoʋ have been faithful over a few things; I will set yoʋ over many things. Enter into the joy of yoʋr master.’
Ura ezt mondta neki: Jól van, jó és hű szolgám, kevésen voltál hű, sokra bízlak ezután, menj be uradnak örömébe.
24 Then the man who had received the one talent came to him and said, ‘Master, I knew that yoʋ were a hard man, reaping where yoʋ did not sow and gathering where yoʋ scattered no seed.
Eljött az is, aki az egy talentumot kapta, és ezt mondta: Uram, tudtam, hogy te kegyetlen ember vagy, aki ott is aratsz, ahol nem vetettél, ott is gyűjtesz, ahol nem szórtál.
25 So I was afraid and went and hid yoʋr talent in the ground. Behold, yoʋ have what is yoʋrs.’
Ezért félelmemben elmentem, és elástam a te talentumodat a földbe: Íme, itt van, ami a tied.
26 But his master answered him, ‘Yoʋ evil and lazy servant! Yoʋ knew, did yoʋ, that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I have scattered no seed?
Ura pedig így felelt neki: Gonosz és rest szolga, tudtad, hogy ott is aratok, ahol nem vetettem, és ott is gyűjtök, ahol nem szórtam.
27 Then yoʋ should have deposited my money with the bankers, and when I came I would have received what is mine with interest.
El kellett volna helyezned pénzemet a pénzváltóknál, és én megjőve nyereséggel kaptam volna meg a magamét.
28 Therefore take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten talents.
Vegyétek el ezért tőle a talentumot, és adjátok oda annak, akinek tíz talentuma van.
29 For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. But the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
Mert mindenkinek, akinek van, adatik, és megszaporíttatik; akinek pedig nincsen, attól az is elvétetik, amije van.
30 And throw that worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
A haszontalan szolgát vessétek a külső sötétségre: ott lesz sírás és fogcsikorgatás.
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, he will sit down on his throne of glory.
„Amikor pedig eljön az Emberfia az ő dicsőségében és vele a szent angyalok mind, akkor majd beül dicsőségének királyi székébe.
32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate them from one another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
És eléje gyűjtenek minden népet, és elválasztják majd őket egymástól, ahogyan a pásztor elválasztja a juhokat a kecskéktől.
33 He will set the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
És a juhokat jobb keze felől, a kecskéket pedig bal keze felől állítja.
34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
Akkor ezt mondja a király a jobb keze felől állóknak: Gyertek, Atyám áldottai, örököljétek ezt az országot, amelyet számotokra készített a világ megalapítása óta.
35 For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in;
Mert éheztem, és ennem adtatok, szomjaztam, és innom adtatok, jövevény voltam, és befogadtatok,
36 I was naked, and you clothed me; I was sick, and you looked after me; I was in prison, and you came to visit me.’
mezítelen voltam, és felruháztatok, beteg voltam, és meglátogattatok, fogoly voltam, és eljöttetek hozzám.
37 Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see yoʋ hungry and feed yoʋ, or thirsty and give yoʋ something to drink?
Akkor így felelnek majd neki az igazak: Uram, mikor láttuk, hogy éheztél, és tápláltunk volna, vagy szomjaztál, és innod adtunk volna?
38 When did we see yoʋ as a stranger and take yoʋ in, or naked and clothe yoʋ?
Mikor láttuk, hogy jövevény voltál, és befogadtunk volna, vagy mezítelen voltál, és felruháztunk volna?
39 When did we see yoʋ sick or in prison and come to visit yoʋ?’
Mikor láttuk, hogy beteg vagy fogoly voltál, és hozzád mentünk volna?
40 The King will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
És így felel a király majd nekik: Bizony mondom néktek, amennyiben megcselekedtétek ezt eggyel az én legkisebb atyámfiai közül, velem cselekedtétek meg.
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are accursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. (aiōnios g166)
Akkor szól majd a bal keze felől állókhoz is: Távozzatok tőlem, átkozottak, az ördögöknek és az ő angyalainak elkészített örök tűzre. (aiōnios g166)
42 For I was hungry, and you did not give me anything to eat; I was thirsty, and you did not give me anything to drink;
Mert éheztem, és nem adtatok ennem, szomjaztam, és nem adtatok innom,
43 I was a stranger, and you did not take me in; I was naked, and you did not clothe me; I was sick and in prison, and you did not look after me.’
jövevény voltam, és nem fogadtatok be, mezítelen voltam, és nem ruháztatok fel, beteg és fogoly voltam, és nem látogattatok meg engem.
44 Then they too will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see yoʋ hungry or thirsty or as a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not take care of yoʋ?’
Akkor ezek is így felelnek majd neki: Uram, mikor láttuk, hogy éheztél vagy szomjaztál, vagy hogy jövevény, vagy mezítelen, vagy beteg, vagy fogoly voltál, és nem szolgáltunk volna neked?
45 He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, neither did you do it to me.’
Akkor így felel majd nekik: Bizony mondom néktek, amennyiben nem cselekedtétek meg eggyel ezekkel a legkisebbek közül, velem nem cselekedtétek meg.
