၁ထာဝရဘုရားက``မောဘပြည်သားတို့ သည်တစ်ကြိမ်ပြီးတစ်ကြိမ်ပြစ်မှားကြ သဖြင့် ငါသည်သူတို့ကိုအမှန်ပင်ဒဏ် ပေးရတော့မည်။ သူတို့သည်ဧဒုံမင်း၏ အရိုးစုကိုပြာချလိုက်ခြင်းဖြင့် ဧဒုံ မင်းကိုမလေးမစားပြုခဲ့ကြပြီ။-
2 and to send: depart fire in/on/with Moab and to eat citadel: fortress [the] Kerioth and to die in/on/with roar Moab in/on/with shout in/on/with voice: sound trumpet
၂ငါသည်မောဘပြည်အပေါ်သို့မီးမိုးရွာ စေပြီးကေရုတ်မြို့၏ရဲတိုက်များကိုပြာ ချလိုက်မည်။ စစ်သည်တို့၏အော်သံဟစ် သံ၊ ခရာသံနှင့်တိုက်ပွဲသံများဆူဆူ ညံညံပြင်းထန်နေသောအချိန်မှာပင် မောဘပြည်သားများသေဆုံးလိမ့်မည်။-

၃ငါသည်မောဘမင်းကိုသတ်မည်။ မောဘ နိုင်ငံရှိခေါင်းဆောင်အားလုံးကိုကွပ်မျက် မည်'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။

၄ထာဝရဘုရားက``ယုဒပြည်သားတို့ သည်တစ်ကြိမ်ပြီးတစ်ကြိမ်ပြစ်မှားကြ သဖြင့်ငါသည်သူတို့ကိုအမှန်ပင်ဒဏ် ပေးရတော့မည်။ သူတို့သည်ငါ၏သြဝါဒ ကိုရွံမုန်း၍ငါပေးသောပညတ်တို့ကို မစောင့်ရှောက်ဘဲနေကြလေပြီ။ သူတို့ ဘိုးဘေးများဆည်းကပ်ကိုးကွယ်ခဲ့သော မိစ္ဆာဘုရားများနောက်သို့ကိုယ်တိုင်လိုက် ပါကာလမ်းလွဲကြလေပြီ။-

၅ထို့ကြောင့်ငါသည်ယုဒပြည်ပေါ်သို့မီးမိုး ရွာစေပြီးယေရုရှလင်မြို့၏ရဲတိုက်များ ကိုပြာချလိုက်မည်ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။

၆ထာဝရဘုရားက``ဣသရေလပြည်သား တို့သည်တစ်ကြိမ်ပြီးတစ်ကြိမ်ပြစ်မှားကြ သဖြင့်ငါသည်သူတို့ကိုအမှန်ပင်ဒဏ် ပေးရတော့မည်။ သူတို့သည်ကြွေးမဆပ် နိုင်သောရိုးဖြောင့်သူများနှင့် ခြေနင်းတစ် ရံအတွက်ကိုမျှကြွေးမဆပ်နိုင်သော ဆင်းရဲသားတို့ကိုကျွန်အဖြစ်ရောင်းချ ကြသည်။-

၇သူတို့သည်အားနွဲ့သူနှင့်ခိုကိုးရာမဲ့ သူများကိုနင်းချေပြီးဆင်းရဲသားတို့ ကိုတွန်းထုတ်ဖယ်ရှားကြပြီ။ အဘနှင့် သားသည်ကျွန်မိန်းကလေးတစ်ယောက် တည်းနှင့်ဆက်ဆံလျက်ငါ၏သန့်ရှင်း ရာနာမတော်ကိုအသရေပျက်စေပြီ။-

၈ဝတ်ပြုရာနေရာတိုင်း၌ဆင်းရဲသူများ ထံမှအပေါင်ခံပစ္စည်းအဖြစ်နှင့်ရယူ ထားသောအဝတ်အထည်များကိုခင်း ကာအိပ်စက်ကြလေပြီ။ သူတို့ကိုးကွယ် သောဘုရားသခင်၏ဗိမာန်တော်တွင် ကြွေးတင်နေသူများထံမှလျော်ကြေး အဖြစ်ရယူလာသောစပျစ်ရည်ကို သောက်ကြလေပြီ။

၉``ထိုသို့နှင့်ပင်ငါ၏လူမျိုးအပေါင်းတို့၊ ငါသည်သင်တို့အတွက်အာရဇ်ပင်တမျှ မြင့်မား၍သပိတ်ပင်အလား သန်မာလှ သည့်အာမောရိလူမျိုးကိုအပြီးအပိုင် တိုက်ဖျက်ခဲ့ပြီ။-

၁၀ငါသည်သင်တို့ကိုအီဂျစ်ပြည်မှထုတ် ဆောင်လာခဲ့၏။ တောကန္တာရအတွင်း၌ အနှစ်လေးဆယ်ပတ်လုံးပို့ဆောင်ခဲ့ပြီး အာမောရိလူမျိုးတို့၏မြေယာများ ကိုသင်တို့ပိုင်ဆိုင်ရန်ပေးအပ်ခဲ့ပြီ။-

၁၁ငါသည်သင်တို့၏သားအချို့ကိုပရော ဖက်အဖြစ်နှင့်လည်းကောင်း၊ သင်တို့၏ လူငယ်အချို့ကိုနာဇရိလူအဖြစ်နှင့် လည်းကောင်းရွေးကောက်ခဲ့ပြီ။ အို ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့၊ ဤအချက်သည်အမှန် ပင်ဖြစ်သည်မဟုတ်လော။ ဤသည်ကား ငါထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူ၏။-

၁၂သို့ရာတွင်သင်သည်နာဇရိလူတို့အား စပျစ်ရည်ကိုသောက်စေ၍ပရောဖက်တို့ အားငါ၏သတင်းစကားကိုကြားပြော ခြင်းမပြုရန်တားမြစ်ခဲ့ကြလေပြီ။-

၁၃ထို့ကြောင့်ငါသည်သင့်အားမြေကြီးပေါ် နင်းချေ၍သင်သည်ဂျုံစပါးအပြည့်တင် ထားသည့်လှည်းကဲ့သို့ ငြီးတွားရလိမ့်မည်။-
14 and to perish refuge from swift and strong not to strengthen strength his and mighty man not to escape soul: life his
၁၄လျင်မြန်စွာပြေးနိုင်သူများပင်လျှင်လွတ် မြောက်လိမ့်မည်မဟုတ်။ သန်စွမ်းသောသူများ သည်လည်းအားအင်ကုန်ခန်း၍စစ်သူရဲတို့ သည်လည်းမိမိတို့၏အသက်ကိုကယ်နိုင် လိမ့်မည်မဟုတ်။-
15 and to capture [the] bow not to stand: stand and swift in/on/with foot his not to escape and to ride [the] horse not to escape soul: life his
၁၅လေးကိုကိုင်စွဲထားသောသူများသည်လည်း ရပ်တည်ခြင်းငှာမတတ်နိုင်ကြ။ လျင်မြန်စွာ ပြေးနိုင်သူများသည်လည်းလွတ်လိမ့်မည် မဟုတ်၊ မြင်းပေါ်မှလူများသည်လည်းမိမိ တို့အသက်ဘေးမှလွတ်မြောက်ကြလိမ့်မည် မဟုတ်။-

၁၆ထိုနေ့တွင်ရဲစွမ်းသတ္တိအရှိဆုံးစစ်သူရဲ များပင်လျှင် မိမိ၏လက်နက်များကိုစွန့် လျက်ထွက်ပြေးကြလိမ့်မည်'' ဟုထာဝရ ဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
