Psalms 83

1 A song a psalm of Asaph. O God [let] not silence [belong] to you may not you be silent and may not you be inactive O God.

سرود. مزمور آساف. ای خدا، خاموش نباش! هنگامی که دعا می‌کنیم، ساکت و آرام ننشین.

2 For here! enemies your they are in an uproar! and [those who] hate you they have lifted a head.

ببین چگونه دشمنانت شورش می‌کنند و آنانی که از تو نفرت دارند به مخالفت و دشمنی برخاسته‌اند.

3 On people your they make crafty counsel so they may consult together on treasured [ones] your.

آنها بر ضد قوم خاص تو نقشه‌های پلید می‌کشند و برای کسانی که به تو پناه آورده‌اند، توطئه می‌چینند.

4 They have said come and let us annihilate them from a nation and not it will be remembered [the] name of Israel again.

می‌گویند: «بیایید قوم اسرائیل را نابود کنیم تا نامش برای همیشه محو شود.»

5 For they have consulted heart together on you a covenant they are making.

همهٔ دشمنان با نقشهٔ نابودی ما موافقت نموده‌اند و بر ضد تو همدست شده‌اند:

6 [the] tents of Edom and [the] Ishmaelites Moab and [the] Hagrites.

ادومیان، اسماعیلیان، موآبیان، هاجریان،

7 Gebal and Ammon and Amalek Philistia with [the] inhabitants of Tyre.

مردمان سرزمینهای جِبال، عمون، عمالیق، فلسطین و صور.

8 Also Assyria it has joined itself with them they have become an arm for [the] children of Lot (Selah)

آشور نیز با آنها متحد شده و از عمون و موآب که از نسل لوط هستند حمایت می‌کند.

9 Do to them like Midian like Sisera like Jabin at [the] wadi of Kishon.

خداوندا، همان بلایی را که در درهٔ قیشون بر سر مدیان و سیسرا و یابین آوردی، بر سر این دشمنان نیز بیاور.

10 They were destroyed at En-dor they became dung for the ground.

همان‌گونه که مخالفان ما را در «عین دور» از بین بردی و جنازه‌هایشان در روی زمین ماند و کود زمین شد، این دشمنان متحد را نیز نابود کن.

11 Make them noble [people] their like Oreb and like Zeeb and like Zebah and like Zalmunna all princes their.

فرماندهان این دشمنان را به سرنوشت غراب و ذئب دچار ساز. همهٔ بزرگان آنان را مانند ذبح و صلمونع هلاک ساز

12 Who they said let us take possession of for ourselves [the] pastures of God.

همان کسانی که قصد داشتند ملک خدا را تصاحب کنند.

13 O God my make them like whirling dust like chaff before a wind.

ای خدا، دشمنان ما را همچون کاه و غبار در برابر باد، پراکنده ساز.

14 Like a fire [which] it burns a forest and like a flame [which] it sets ablaze mountains.

چنانکه آتش در جنگل و در کوهستان افروخته می‌شود و همه چیز را می‌سوزاند،

15 So you will pursue them with storm your and with storm-wind your you will terrify them.

همچنان، ای خدا، آنها را با تندباد غضب خود بران و با طوفان خشم خویش آنها را آشفته و پریشان کن.

16 Fill faces their shame so they may seek name your O Yahweh.

خداوندا، آنها را چنان رسوا کن تا تسلیم تو شوند.

17 May they be ashamed and they may be dismayed until perpetuity and may they be abashed and they may perish.

آنها را در انجام نقشه‌هایشان با شکست مواجه ساز. بگذار در ننگ و رسوایی جان بسپارند

18 And they may know that you name your [is] Yahweh to alone you [the] Most High over all the earth.

و بدانند که تنها تو که نامت یهوه است، در سراسر جهان متعال هستی.
