Psalms 8

1 To the choirmaster on the Gittith a psalm of David. O Yahweh lord our how! majestic [is] name your in all the earth [the one] who set! splendor your above the heavens.

Para el director del coro. Sobre el Gitit. Un salmo de David. ¡Señor, nuestro Señor, tu majestoso nombre llena toda la tierra! Tu majestad es más grande que los cielos,

2 From [the] mouth of children - and suckling-children you have established strength on account of opposers your to put an end to an enemy and an avenger.

y lo cantan las voces de los niños. Tu fuerza sobrepasa a tus oponentes, y silencias al enemigo y al vengador.

3 If I will see heavens your [the] works fingers your [the] moon and [the] stars which you have established.

Cuando contemplo los cielos que hicieron tus manos, la luna y las estrellas que en él pusiste,

4 What? [is] humankind that you will remember him and a son of humankind that you will pay attention to him.

¿Qué son los seres humanos para que pienses en ellos? ¿Qué somos las personas para que cuides de nosotros?

5 And you have made lack him little from God and honor and majesty you crown him.

Los creaste un poco menores que Dios, coronándoles de gloria y majestad.

6 You make rule him over [the] works of hands your everything you have put under feet his.

Los pusiste a cargo de toda tu creación, dándoles autoridad sobre todo:

7 Sheep and cattle all of them and also [the] animals of [the] field.

sobre las ovejas, sobre el ganado, sobre los animales del campo,

8 [the] bird[s] of [the] heavens And [the] fish of the sea [that which] passes through [the] paths of [the] seas.

sobre las aves del cielo, y los peces del mar, así como sobre todo lo que nada en el océano.

9 O Yahweh lord our how! majestic [is] name your in all the earth.

Señor, nuestro Señor, tu majestuoso nombre llena toda la tierra.
